Syrup Village part 8
*The pirates step in the caltrops.*
Nami: We got them!
Morbius: How does that feel?!
Usopp: take this! Lead star!
*Usopp fires a pellet made of lead at one of the pirates with his slingshot.*
Morbius: Nice shot.
Nami: Guess you’re quite the warrior after all. I’ll let you and morbius take things from here.
Morbius and Usopp: but you haven’t done anything!
Nami: Uh oh!
Usopp: What's wrong?
*There’s caltrops behind them.*
Usopp: You threw them behind us?!
Morbius: What were you thinking?!
Pirate 1: Get out of the way!
*A pirate hits Usopp in the face with a hammer.*
Morbius: Usopp-
*But another one slashes morbius on the back.*
Pirate 1: Did they really think they could stop us? Let’s go guys, Captain kuro is waiting.
*But Usopp grabs his leg.*
Pirate 1: Hey, let go of me!
Usopp: I will never let you step foot in that village!
*Usopp gets up.*
Usopp: All I did was lie, like I always do. Today will be like every other day in that sleepy town. And that’s because none of you will step foot in there!
*A pirate tries to attack him, but Nami hits him. However she gets knocked back by another pirate.*
Morbius: Nami!
*Morbius crawls to her.*
Pirate 1: let’s just kill these three.
Jango: We've wasted enough time. Quit bothering with them and get going! Have you forgotten that this is Kuro’s plan? If it gets ruined by these fools, he’ll have all our heads!
*The pirates run towards the village.*
Usopp: Please stop!
Morbius: I’m going to kill you all!
*Morbius’s eyes turn red, but they all get knocked down to the bottom of the slope.*
Nami: It's about time.
*They see Luffy and Zoro.*
Pirate 1: What’s this, Captain?! You never told us we’d be fighting these guys!
Zoro: Is that the best these pirates got?
Luffy: Yeah, I was expecting a challenge.
Zoro: What's up with your eyes?
Morbius: Oh, nothing!
*Morbius’s eyes turn back to normal.*
Zoro: And you! Thanks for leaving me down there! You’re lucky I’m not going to kick your ass!
Luffy: Usopp, you bonehead! You never told me which way was north!
Morbius: How could you not know where north is?
Jango: Who are these guys?
*Kuro waits outside the mansion.*
Kuro: They’re late… I don’t appreciate tardiness. Not one bit. They know what happens to those foolish enough to ruin my plans. Do they think they can take their time? If they’ve forgotten the consequences of disappointing me, I’ll kill them all.
Usopp: You guys are really that strong?
Luffy: Hmm.
Nami: What took you guys so long?
Zoro: You pushed me down the oil
slick so you could get out!
Nami: I slipped on accident. At least one of us made it out, better than both of us being stuck at the bottom.
Zoro: It should have just been you!
Luffy: “Run straight north” he says. How am I supposed to know which way is north?
Usopp: You’re the one who ran ahead of us.
Luffy: I just got excited, you know.
Morbius: If you didn’t know which way to go, you should have just followed us.
Jango: The sun has risen in the sky and that means kuro grows impatient. Don’t just lie there! Don’t tell me you’ve lost already? They’re just a couple of idiots. We don’t have time to lollygag around. If our enemy is strong, then we’ll have to become stronger.
*Jango pulls out his ring.*
Jango: By the count of Jango, you'll all become stronger. All of your wounds will heal and you’ll be stronger than ever before.
Luffy: What's he doing?
Nami: He must be hypnotizing them. He’s trying to convince them they’re stronger than they already are.
Morbius: that’s absurd. Like hypnosis can do that.
*All the pirates look at Jango's ring, including Luffy.*
Jango: One. Two. Jango!
*The pirates suddenly become energized.*
Nami: No way!
Morbius: You’ve got to be kidding me!
*One of them breaks part of the cliff.*
Zoro: That guy crushed the cliff! Now that’s power!
Nami: I always thought hypnotism was a bunch of bull!
Morbius: Clearly the universe has proved us wrong!
Usopp: And that was just one guy! Imagine what the whole crew can do!
Jango: Now attack and strike down anyone who stands in your way!
*The pirates charge towards them.*
Zoro: Me and luffy will take care of them. You guys stand back.
Morbius: Don’t count me out yet. I’m going to drink their blood.
Zoro: What is it with you and blood recently?
*But Luffy looks pissed.*
Zoro: Uh, Luffy.
Morbius: Are you ok?
Luffy: Aaaaaaaahhh!!!
Morbius and Zoro: Don’t tell me you let that guy hypnotize you, too?!
Nami: He really is a simple minded idiot!
*Luffy runs towards them.*
Luffy: Gum gum Gatling!!!
*Luffy repeatedly punches the pirates.*
Morbius: Oh shit.
Jango: Damn it kuro, you made one grave miscalculation. These aren’t your average village idiots.
*Luffy runs down the slope.*
Morbius: Kick their asses Luffy!
*But he runs past jango.*
Morbius: Huh?
Zoro: Where is he going?
*Luffy runs towards their ship and grabs onto the bow.*
Pirate: 1:What's he’s doing to our ship?
*Luffy tears off the bow of the ship.*
Morbius: Holy crap!
Pirate 2: He’s going to crush us! Do something captain!
*Jango quickly takes out his ring.*
Jango: By the count of Jango you'll fall into a deep sleep! One. Two. Jango!
*Luffy falls asleep, with the bow landing on him and nearly crushing Jango and his men.*
*Tamanegi sees Kuro walk to the shore, carrying a bag.*
Tamanegi: Why is the butler walking to the shore at this hour?
*Kaya wakes up after having a nightmare.*
Kaya: Just a dream.
*She gets out of bed and walks to kuro’s room.*
Kaya: Klahadore, are you there?
*But when she opens the door, she sees merry on the floor.*
Kaya: Merry! What happened to you?! Please don’t die!
Merry: Oh thank goodness, you’re still alive.
Kaya: Who did this to you?
Merry: It was Klahadore. He attacked me. Usopp was right, he’s a pirate. He only got close to you so he could steal your fortune. That’s all he wanted.
Kaya: It can't be!
Merry: I’m telling you the truth!
Kaya: Then all those things Usopp said yesterday were the truth.
Merry: That’s right. When he learned the truth, he tried his hardest to warn us. But we didn’t believe a single thing he said. He tried his hardest to save us, but we chased him away.
Kaya: Someone help! Merry is hurt!
Merry: It’s no use, miss. The entire staff has been on leave since yesterday.
Kaya: Then I’ll go find help.
Merry: Don’t get all flustered. We have to think clearly. I saw him walk out the door. If what Usopp said was true, then he must be off to join his comrades. Not only is our lives in danger, but so is everyone in the village. Klahadore’s plan is to obtain your fortune. Then we will just give it to him. That way, no one has to die. But unfortunately, you’re the only one who can stop him. Can you do it, miss Kaya?
Kaya: I can. I won’t run away from this. I’m going to go talk to Klahadore right now!
