emergency brodcast system
Everything seemed to be playing the emergency broadcast signal.
It'd been playing for hours.
Luke's ears were ringing, but he just sat there and stared at his TV, where nothing had changed.
He'd answered every text he got, but froze up at the CAN ANYONE REACH MATT sent to every vigilante in NYC.
Luke: It's probably the EBC. Sensory Overload on a random rooftop. He's lived through worse.
Frank: What the hell is happening?
Wade: @Peter i saw you on the news yesterday what the fuck just went down??
Trish: Has anyone heard anything from Jess??
Jess: (voice message) "In a high-traffic area. A lot of people dissapeared in their cars. I'm trying to clear the streets."
Danny: saw an AV jet 20-30 min ago. @Peter ?
Frank: Hold the fuck up. Anyone have contacts with the kid??
Wade: Matt knows Hawkeye
Karen: His gf interns with us in summers. Not sure if she knows.
[Peter Parker started a group call]
Luke doesn't hesitate to join in, not even pausing to stop his camera.
Peter's camera is in his mask, showing that one of his mask lenses is cracked.
"I-" he chokes. "Mr. Stark. Mr. Stark did this. And- and he tried- and he succeeded, and fuck."
"Kid, what did he do?" Wade asks.
"He- he- a lot of shit went down after that fight. Mr. Stark sided with a- genocidal fuck. Didn't care about all the people that just died. It- it was all him. And if I heard his switching sides speech right he's planning to kidnap all of you guys. You- you need to get out of town."
Peter hung up without another word, leaving Luke in stunned silence.
