Love Is...Power

I was putting on some jewelry to match the dress for tonights dinner. Finishing up putting the earrings on you started with the necklace when you heard the door open. Looking at the door through the mirror you saw Loki walk in and close it. He looked at you and gave a small smile, you smiled back and turned your attention back to the necklace that was being surprisingly difficult.
“You’ve been gone long.” You said. You hadn’t seen him since this morning in the lounge area. He nodded and walked up behind you. He extended his hand motioning to the necklace you were currently fighting. You smiled a thank you and let him take control of the necklace.
“Yeah I, I had some things come up. I’ve been busy.” He said as he clasped the necklace and adjusted it for it to fall right under your collar bones. He stared at you in the mirror then down to the necklace. You could feel the heat of his eyes trailing your neck back up to your face.
“There, beautiful.” He whispered, if you weren’t paying so close attention to him you would have missed it. You could feel your cheeks heat up you looked down at your hands and played with your fingers before stepping away from him and walking over to your shoes.
“So what were you so busy with today?” You asked trying to change the subject. Loki cleared his throat and sat down in the couch that was across from the bed, he looked at you could tell he was contemplating telling you something. “Loki?” You asked trying to assure him that he could tell you.
“He sighed a little and leaned on his knees with his elbows “I know where Thor is.” He said as he looked at you. You stopped putting on your shoes and looked back up to him, your eyes wide at what he just told you.
“What? How? Where is he?” You asked a million other questions ready to be asked. Loki looked at his hands and back up to you.
“He’s here.” He said quietly. You stood up quickly and looked at him questionably tilting your head bit brows scrunched.
“And where exactly is here?” You asked slowly crossing your arms in the process. Loki stared up at you and licked his lips.
“He’s in the fighting chambers.” He said sighing.
“He’s what?” You asked. You had head of the gladiators and their fights when you two were getting information about this place. The Grand Masters Champion whoever that was was at the top of the food chain, and everyone below was just a piece of meat for him.
You started to walk to the door. You couldn’t believe Loki let him go there and did nothing to stop it. You knew they didn’t get along the best but still. You then felt a tug on your arm stopping you from going any further.
“Where are you going?” Loki asked as you turned to face him.
“I’m going to do what you should have done. Get him out of there and get us the hell out of this place.” You said back glaring up at him.
“That’s madness. You can’t just break him out.” Loki spat back. You rolled your eyes and jerked your hand away from him crossing your arms. Loki looked at you and sighed.
“And what do you suggest I do, Loki?” You asked sarcastically. “Because unlike you I don’t let the people I care for rot or get killed by some mad gladiator.” You finished. Loki rolled his eyes and then looked back at you.
“I don’t intend on letting him die. But we have to be smart about this. We have to play our cards right or we will be in the same situation as him. Thor never thinks things through, he always goes swinging first. And that’s what let to this ordeal in the first place.” Loki said trying to reason with you. You rolled your eyes and placed your hands on your hips.
“What so I’m just supposed to sit back and let him get hurt by trying to punch his way out of this?” You said. “If he’s going to fight, I’m going to fight with him. Thats what you do for people you car about” You said turning to leave. You were about to open the door when a gust of magic pushed you back a bit and a glow of green flashed before you. Loki appearing in front go the door blocking your way out. You looked at him and sighed.
“Get out of my way Loki.” You said to him.
“No. Listen to me, please Y/n. I’m not going to let you go get him.” He said standing his ground. You chuckled a little and tilted your head at Loki.
“I’m sorry what? Let me?” You asked him shaking your head. Loki closed his eyes and walked a bit closer to you and took your hand. You stepped back to look at him better and you glared up at him with an annoyed look on your face.
“Listen, I didn’t mean for it to come out that way. But please, don’t do anything rash. Just let me, Let me talk with him. I can send an illusion to go talk with him so no one catches us. Please trust me.” Loki said softly. You sighed and rolled your eyes shifting your weight on your feet.
“Fine, but you have until tomorrow to fix this. Or I’m doing it my way.” You warned him, he nodded at you and gripped your hand a little.
“Thank you, now lets get to this dinner before the Grand Master gets any ideas.” Loki said turning and leading you our the door and to the banquet hall.

You and Loki were getting ready for the fight. You hadn’t spoke to Loki since he told you what happened with the two of them when he talked to him last night after the dinner. He told you everything, you have to give it to him. He’s surprisingly truthful with you. That doesn’t change the face he wants to stay here. You walked out of the restroom after getting dressed in your suit, and saw Loki standing and waiting for you. You rolled your eyes a little and walked past him.
“Y/n please. Say something.” Loki said to you and you turned back to him.
“What do you want me to say Loki? I can’t just let him do this. This champion could tear him apart and your just going to let it happen.” You said the last part softer not wanting to argue.
“What would you like me to do? He didn’t want my help.” Loki said swinging his arms up and back down in defeat. You scoffed and walked closer to him.
“I want you to help him anyway. He’s your brother for Gods sake Loki.” You said to him. Loki sighed and looked away from you.
“Show them the Loki that I know is in there. You’ve let me see him a few times, why not the rest of them.” You said softer walked closer and leaning into his view again. He looked at you, you could see his jaw clench and he sighed.
“Just follow my lead. Okay?” He said as he started for the door.

You saw Thor walk out and onto the battle field. All you heard was booing from the crowd. You gripped your hands into a fist and watched as the Grand master spoke, from a hologram. He introduced his Champion and then he went off and everywhere around you was bangs as the champion was making his way out onto the field.
You saw Thor ready himself as he walked out. And then there you saw him, his champion. It was the Hulk? You scoffed surprisingly. As you turned to Loki who was started to breath heavier. 
 “Loki?” You asked as he started to back away and he grabbed your hand
“I have to get off this planet.” He said suddenly as he dragged you towards the exit.
“Hey Hey Hey. Where you going?” The grand master stopped him in his tracks making you bump into Lokis back. You hit with a grunt and then felt Loki’s grip on your back as his arm came around you keeping you close. The grand master pushed you two to the couch as the fight was beginning.
“You two can’t leave the event so early. We’re just getting to the good part.” He said as he took a drink and sat on the other side on the couch. Loki and you sat on the other side, you looked at Loki who was visibly nervous. You raised an eyebrow quickly and then placed your hand on his thigh. You saw him look at you. His eyes were filled with worry and a hint of terror, but he would never tell you or let it show. You grabbed his hand and intertwined his fingers with your gripping softly.
You wanted to let him know you were here and that everything was going to be okay. You didn’t know what was happening with him, but you did know he needed someone in the moment.
“Hey Hey, we know each other. He’s a friend from work!” Thor yelled at the three of you waving up to you guys. You smiled a little as the Grand Master looked to you and Loki. Loki shuffled and coughed a little staring ahead trying to block out everything.
Thor started to talk to the Hulk as he yelled for Loki. The Hulk looked right at him and you could feel Loki freeze.
“Loki, look who it is” Waving to his brother. You just help onto his hand trying to keep his focus on you.

Then the fight begun, the Hulk came towards Thor and. Charged. Clearly he didn’t want to talk. You sat forward a little watching at the grand master laughed and talked a little.
Thor slammed a weapon into the hulk and sent him rolling to the other end of the arena. The entire place went silent and you and Loki watched Their walk towards The Hulk.
“He needs to get banner.” You whispered softly not wanting to be heard by the grand master. You gripped Loki’s hand, this time for your sake. Loki looked over at you and put your hands in his lap and placed his other hand on top measuring you as you had just done him. You looked at him and he was just looking at you, you could barely read the emotions on his face and you nodded turning your attention back to the fight.
Thor walked to the Hulk and stretched out his hand. Then the Hulk took him and threw him from one side and the other then over to the other side of the arena.
“Yes! That’s how it feels.” Loki jumped up screaming he then turned to the Grand master. “Oh, I’m just a huge fan of the sport.” He said. You grabbed his hand pulling him back down to the couch.

Thor was putting up a good fight, swinging his weapon and fist. You gripped your fists and leaned forward only wanting to help. The hulk was now on Thor punching repeatedly.
“he’s going to get killed.” You said quietly as you watched. Then Thors hands sparked and his eyes went white as he punched the hulk away him landing on his back. You placed your hand on Loki’s knee as you two watched. Loki just as surprised as you.
Thor stood, Lighting circling his arms and all around him. You laughed a little as you saw him run toward the Hulk.
“He, He’s going to win.” You said as Thor punched the Hulk and a shockwave of energy shot through the arena.
The chanting then turned from the Hulk to Thor. You smiled and looked at Loki. Loki was blank, you could tell he didn’t even know about the power Thor had. You didn’t even think Thor knew. But he did now.
Then before he could win this fight he was back on the ground shocked. You turned tot he Grand master who was holding a device, your breath stopped as you looked at him. You were about to stand and say something to him when you felt Loki’s arm go around your waist keeping you in place. He looked at you and shook his head, you knew standing up to the Grand master was a bad idea but your friend was down there.
Loki placed his other hand on your fist and you then looked him in the eye. He could see your eyes starting to flood with purple but he gripped your hand and shook his head again. You then sighed and closed your eyes, letting your anger calm down a little.

Later that night you were back into your room as you paced back and forth biting your nails waiting for Loki to come back. You heard the door and he walked in and closed the door sighing.
You looked at him worried, you let your hands fall as you were waiting fo him to say something. He sighed and then walked closer to you.
“He’s okay.” He said and you smiled and let the breath you didn’t even know you were holding out. You wrapped your hands around his neck and hugged him. He froze not knowing what to do but then wrapped his own arms around your waist holding you.
“OH thank god! We have to find him and get out of here. The grand master is going insane.” You said as you pulled away and looked at him. His arms were still around your waist, you two looked at each other only inches away. You looked up at Loki who was looking down at you. He was about to say something when a knock was at the door.
You two pulled away and he went to the door. A guard was there, he announced that the Grand master wanted to seer you both immediately. Loki looked back at you and you sighed a little and nodded. You two were escorted tot he grand masters thrown Valkyrie meeting you two as you three walked into the room.

“I’m upset.” The grand master stated as he hovered down to you guys. “I’m very upset. You know what I like about being upset? The blame. And you know that’s the mindset I’m in-“ He started as he landed right in front of you two.
“Grandmaster, I can..” Loki started to reason but was c ut off by the grandmaster yelling.
“Hey hey, don’t interrupt me.” He said sternly and Loki sighed placing his hands back at his side.
“Here you go” The woman beside him handing him a big septor of some sort. The Gand master pushed it away.
“Why are you handing me the melt stick. He was interrupting. That’s not a capital violation.” He said as you and Loki tolled your eyes.
“My precious Champion has come up missing. And it’s all because of that Lord of Thunder.” The grandmaster said “It’s all because of him. Your bother. Whatever the story is, adopted or complicated.” Pointing to Loki. “And you my darling, you come with Loki here so I’m sure there’s a big history between you and him as well.” He said pointing to you now, then he pointed to Valkyrie “And your contender.
“My lord, if you were to give me 12 hours, I can bring them both back to you, alive.” You spoke up smiling at the grandmaster. You knew you could use your charm to get a head start on finding him and you guys getting out of this place once and for all.
“I could do it in two.” Valkyrie said looking at you smirking. You looked at her and tilted your head glaring at her. Loki placed a hand on your back, “We could do it in one.” He said looking back at the grandmaster.
“Lets stop there. You know what? I woke up this morning thinking about a public execution. But for now I’ll settle for this little ‘who’s going to get him first’ So you’r on the clock.” He finished as he waved us off.

You and Loki bought up to Valkyrie.
“What have you done ?” Loki asked her
“I don’t answer to you lackey.” She said as Loki stopped her by the arm.
“It’s Loki. And you will answer to the Grandmaster.” He said as she swatted his arm away and punched him in the eye. You stepped forward and let your fingertips glow as you let a gust of wind push Valkyrie away from Loki. She scoffed at you and you smirked at her as Loki pulled out a dagger pointing it at her.
“Why would you help my brother escape with that green fool?” He asked stepping closer. She pulled out a dagger of her own stepping closer to him “I don’t help anyone.” She said as Loki flung his hand to her and they started their fist fight. You stepped forward letting a glow of purple form in tour hand as you shot it towards Valkyrie sending her to the ground she stood up and Loki grabbed her wrist.
“Your a Valkyrie?” He asked as she kicked him in the chest and into the wall. She pinned him to the wall and you stepped forward to help but Loki lifted his hand to you to wait. You stopped and sighed staring at her waiting to send her flying away from him at any second.
“I thought the Valkyrie has all dies grouse deaths.” Loki scoffed smirking at her. She pushed him back at the wall
“Choose your next words wisely.” She said as you lifted your hands
“I’m terribly sorry. Must be a very painful memory.” Loki said as he placed his hand on her head you saw a flash of green come from his hand and then she froze. He grabbed her other arm still having his hand on her head as he nodded to you to stand down. You let the purple glow fade and watched at she fell to the ground.

She turned onto her back sitting up looking at Loki who was now standing. She stood up and walked up to him. “What did you do.” She said to him angrily.
“I only let you see what you wanted to block out.” He stated as she punched him in the mouth sending him fumbling back. You stepped forward about to grab her but she waved you.
“I’m not fighting anymore. I’ll help you fin Thor but that’s all.” She said as you nodded
“Thank you.” You said to her
“On one condition” She said smirking you looked ta her confused and she looked at Loki.

You sat on the window seal smirking at Loki who was staring in front of him with an annoyed look on his face. You chuckled a little walking towards him.
“What is so funny dear.” He said looking at you
“Oh nothing. I just find this very amusing.” You said walking over to him. He rolled his eyes “And why’s that.” He said looking upon at you. You stood in front of him and looked down smiling.
“No particular reason.” You said teasingly. Loki smirked a little and you could see a flash of mischief form in his eyes.
“Why don’t you take these off and we will put them on you. Now that would be more enjoyable for both parties I presume.” He smirked up at you. You laughed softly bending down. You put your hands on his knees, your face only inches away from his, his eyes flickering from yours to your lips and to your chest then back up to your eyes. You smirked a little then leaned close whispering in his ear.
“In your dreams your majesty.” You teased your breath tickled his hear. Sending a shiver down his spine, he swallowed hard and shuffled a little in his seat. You smirked and stood back up and walked to the chair beside his bench and sat down. Just in time to see the door slide open. There stood Valkyrie with Thor and Banner behind her.
“Surprise” Loki said sarcastically as they all walked in. Thor grabbed something off the table and threw it at Loki, it bouncing off his head. You chuckled to yourself and he rolled his eyes. “Ow.” He dryly said to Thor.
“Just had to be sure.” Thor said as Banner walked in behind him clearly timid he adjusted his clothing.
“Hello Bruce.” Loki greeted with a smirk on his face. Banner walked up to Loki slowly.
“So, last time I saw you, you were trying to kill everybody. Where you at these days?” He asked
“It varies from moment to moment.” Loki said plainly staring at Banner who raised his eyebrows and backed away from Loki closer to you.
“And you, Y/N you look great.” He said smiling nervously at you. You smiled back and stood up hugging him softly.
“Thank you Bruce. It’s good to see you.” You said as you pulled away from him. You two walked over to Thor and Valkyrie.
“Sakaar and Asgard are about as far apart as each systems. Our bet is a wormhole just outside of city limits. Refule on Xandar and we can be back in Asgard in 18 months.” She explained looking at Thor who was examining a sword.
“Nope. We are going through the Big one.” Thor said pointing the knife to the huge portal just outside city lints before you get to the landfill.
“The Devils Anus?” Valkyrie asked as you raised your eyebrows and looked at Thor who was beside you. 
 “Anus? Wait wait wait, who’s Anus?” Banner asked stuffing his face full of food.
“For the record, I didn’t know it was called that when I chose it.” Thor said awkwardly to you as you rolled your eyes and laughed a little.
“Thank looks like a collapsing neutron star inside of an Einstein-Rosen Bridge?” Banner said walking up to us
“Yeah we totally know what that is.” You said scarcity to Bruce who smiled and took another bight of a sandwich.
“We need another ship. That would tear mine to pieces.” Valkyrie said coming up next to you. Thor and Banner started to talk about another ship and you glanced over at Loki who was thinking of something.
“What do you say?” Thor started as he bumped you with his elbow “Uncharted meta galactic travel through a volatile cosmic gateway. Talk about an adventure.” He said to banner who gave him a high-five as he looked at you rising his eyebrows. You rolled your eyes and smiled nudging him with your hip.
“Fine I guess I’ll tag along.” You said teasingly as Thor patted your shoulder and laughed a little.
“We need a ship.” Banner began
“I don’t mean to impose..” Loki spoke up as Valkyrie threw her glass bottle at him just missing his head and it shattering. You jumped back a little and walked over to Loki crunching glass over your shoes as you did.
“What the hell. You okay?” You asked bending down to Loki. He nodded to you and then looked back at the others.
“The grandmaster has a great many shops. I may even have stolen the access codes to his security system.” Loki said bragging. You scoffed and stood back up,
“And when did you have time to do that?” You said to him and he looked back up at you and smiled winking.
“And suddenly your with an urge to do the right thing.” Valkyrie said glaring at him
“Heavens no, I’ve run out of favor with the grand master and in exchange for codes and access to a ship. I’m asking for safe passage through the anus.” Loki finished looking over at Thor and then back at you.
“Your telling us you can get us access into the garage without setting off any alarms?” Thor asked hesitantly
Loki nodded “Yes brother. I can.”
Banner started to talk to the others and you looked at Loki.
“You really want to leave?” You asked remembering your talk with him about staying and waiting to take charge of everything. He nodded at you slowly. You tilted your head and then crouched down and started to untie his chains.
“hey what the hell are you doing?” Valkyrie asked throwing another bottle at you, you stood up quickly raising your hand the bottle stopping mid-air in a purple mist you throwing it back it hitting the wall just above her head like she did Loki.
You tilted your head and then let your hand fall back to your side as the chains came off Loki and he stood up fixing his suit.
“I suggest you don’t do that again.” You said quietly not letting your eyes waver from Valkyrie who stood back in shock. Loki gave your back a quick pat in thanks.
Thor looked at you two for a second then back to the others as they finished talking.
“We need him to get the codes and ships. He can’t do that changed to the bench now can he?” You said and they all sighed agreeing silently.

You were standing beside Thor who was leaning against the wall waiting for Loki to gain access to the door.
“Hey so listen, we should talk.” Thor said. You knew this talk wasn’t for you so you didn’t reply. They needed to sort out what was bothering them by themselves so you tried to block out the conversation not wanting to be nosey. But you can only block out so much when you’re following them.
“I disagree.” Loki said as the doors opened. You sighed internally. You knew he needed to.
“Open communication was never our family’s forte.” He finished as we walked through the doors.
“You have no idea, been quite the revelation since we last spoke.” Thor said as you walked behind them for backup and while they talked whatever it was out.
They pulled up their guns and pointed them to the guards up ahead.
“Hello.” Thor said as they both shot their guns at the guards.
“Hi.” Loki finished as you three walked over the bodies. You then saw gun fire from behind you three you pushed Loki over to the wall and went beside him, Thor going to the other side.
“Odin brought us together. It’s almost poetic that his death should split us apart.” Loki said as you three hit from the fire. You looked at him quickly. You felt the hurt for him, you sighed to yourself and then jumped out sending a few fireball blasts to the guards from behind sending the to the ground. Thor and Loki walked out and started to shoot the men in front as you walked behind blasting the stragglers they missed.
Loki dropped his gun and started messing with a keypad on the wall as Thor and you finished up with the men.
“We might as well be strangers now.” Loki said. You and Thor turned as Loki finished and the doors opened. Two sons of the crown, set adrift.” Loki finished as the door opened. As he started to walk he shot his hands up and back-up a bit. An alien guard came with a gun you walked out behind Thor and sent a wave of air sending the guard to the ground. His gun firing and shooting him in the air only to be sent down to the ground with a thud. The boys behind you winced as you and Thor started to walk.
“Thought you didn’t want to talk about it.” Thor said as you two walked into the elevator.
“heres the thing.” Loki said pointing as he walked over the guard into the elevator standing beside you, you now in the middle.
“I’m probably better off staying here on Sakaar.” Loki stated as you looked at him in shock. You didn’t know what to think. Back there he was wanting to get off the planet you scrunched your eyebrows at him.
Thor looked at you then at Loki.
“That’s exactly what I was thinking.” He said as Loki looked at his brother confused.
“Did you just agree with me?” He asked, you leaned back on the glass of the elevator wanting to be as far away from this conversation as possible. You were having thoughts of your own not letting you comprehend what they were saying.
You didn’t know Loki very well, our for that long. But you thought his feelings of getting off this planet was true. You didn’t know what you two had but with all the little passes, the shit you two had gone through together on this planet. The sweet gestures he did to help you through whatever this was, was it all all fake and pawn in his game?
You knew people didn’t like him and most thought little of him. But every time you looked in his eyes you saw a glimmer of something. That he wanted to be better. That he wasn’t the person everyone thought he was. People had a image of him, and it was easier to be that image than to try and fight to show them the truth. Or were you just too naive? Was he really like that? Did you fall or it too?
You sighed internally and closed your eyes shaking your head quickly. You didn’t know what to make of these feelings, you didn’t even know you had feelings about him. The door to the elevator opened and you opened your eyes to see Thor holding Loki as he limply walked out.
“GET HELP!! PLEASE! MY BROTHER IS DYING! GET HELP! HELP HIM!” Thor yelled as you rushed to catch up, Thor threw Loki to the guards as he fell on them. You chuckled a little surprised at the game they just played, Thor was smiling at Loki stood back up.
“Now which ship should we take?” Thor asked Loki.
“The commodore?” Loki said pointing to a gold and white ship inn the center of the room.
You were beside Thor as you two walked, you were still trying to get your thoughts out of your head as you guys started to make your way for the ship.
“Though I feel it won’t make much of a difference.” Loki said as you threw stopped. You looked at him eyebrows scrunched, what was he talking about?
“Oh Loki” Thor sighed as he motioned for you to turn around, the Loki standing beside Thor disagreed in a green shimmer as the real Loki was standing at a control board. You looked at him and scoffed a little.
“I know I’ve betrayed you many times before…but this time it’s truly nothing personal.” Loki started as he pressed a button. “The reward for you capture will set me up nicely.” He finished as he looked at you two.
“So thats it? You’r turning us in?” You said shocked at Loki for turning on Thor but even you, you two had been here together the entire time.
Loki looked at you and you could see a wave of guilt come over him for a second and he sighed a looked down then back yup to you.
“I don’t want to hurt you. You could come with me, the grandmaster favors you greatly.” Loki started and you laughed and shook your head.
“Loki, I truly thought you wanted to help. Your entire home is being under attack, and you’re going to stay here like Asgard means nothing to you.” You sighed and softened your face a bit.
“I thought you wanted to be different. But I guess I was stupid enough to fall for the tricks and the whole fasaud you played this whole time we were here.” You smiled softly hurt that he would turn you two in for as little as something as money.
Thor looked at you and then patted your back softly.
“I knew you would turn on me, but Y/n? Really Loki?” Thor said as he held up a device and smirked at Loki.
“Your not the only one with tricks brother.” He said as Loki looked down at his suit trying to find the disk but Thor pressed the Botton sending Loki into a fit of shocks falling to the floor.
Thor started walking to Loki talking with him. You stood there for a second in shock at what just happened. You knew Thor loved his brother but he knew him better than you did.
You walked up and stood behind Thor as he talked to Loki.
“You see Loki, life is about growth. It’s about change. But you seam to just want to stay the same. I guess what I’m trying to say is, that you will always be the God of Mischief..but you could be more.” Thor said as he sighed and stood up he threw the device to the other side of the room. “Anyway we all got places to be. Good lick I guess.” Thor finished as he started walking to the ship. Loki looked up at you still shaking from the waves of shocks going through his body.
You sighed watching you closed your eyes for a second then looked back at him.
“I hope you find whatever it is your looking for. I know the person you are inside” You started as you knelt down to him. He looked at you trying to say something but couldn’t, his face full of pleading for you to help.
“The man you let me see glimpses of is truly beautiful, I wish he would stay.” You said and gave him a half smile. You wanted to help, but you knew you couldn’t. You patted his chest and then stood up to walk away. Loki listed his hand a bit trying to get you to help, but you closed your eyes and turned away form him walking to the ship where Thor was waiting.
