The Unknown
Y/N stood looking out of the glass door that led out to a balcony. She could see the entire city from the room they were given by the Grand Master of wherever they were. She looked past the city to see the outskirts of the landfill where they landed, up above it she could see portals dropping random objects into the giant piles below. She sighed a little louder than she wanted to, gaining the attention of Loki who was inspecting the place for what he called “unwanted eyes” you assumed he was talking about security cameras or listening devices.
“Are you alright?” He asked looking at her then back to what he was doing. Y/n nodded still looking out to the city, she then let go of the curtain letting it fall in front of the glass.
“Yeah. Just trying to figure out where we are, and hot to leave.” She said quietly just in case they were being watched somehow. She sat down on the bed, the comforter was soft and somewhat silky. “Do you think Thor is here.” She asked as she looked up to Loki. He looked at her contemplating what to say, he opted out of saying anything and just gave her a shrug of his shoulders. He then finished his overlook of the place content that they were alone and safe at least in this room.
He didn’t know where they were, but until he did he needed to keep a watchful eye of everything. He didn’t have a good feeling about this place, whatever this place was. He also didn’t know his companion that well either. But he did know Thor trusted her, so he had to account that to something. He would admit he was intrigued be her.
He was snapped out of his thoughts by a knock on the door. The two looked at each other then Loki walked to the door opening it slowly. He was met with a guard, she had her hair up in a bun and held some kind of staff in her hand. “The grand master has requested the two of you to dinner.” She said sternly and held out a lie of folded clothes. Loki accepted them hesitantly lifting his head back to her. “He has selected attire for the both of you.”
“Thank you madam” He said politely as he nodded he away and closed the door back turning around and looked at Y/N.
“So. He picks clothed for people? Weird.” She said as she walked up to Loki and grabbed the clothes. She walked to the bed and laid them out. There was a nice black pants with a matching jacket for Loki and a gold dress for her. There where even shoes for the both of them. Y/N lifted the dress bringing it towards her placing it on her test and looking down at the shiny silk then back up to Loki. She looked at him with a Deseret look of confusion and sarcasm painted on her face with arrow raised, Loki couldn’t help but smirk.
“He has to be kidding. Right?” She said looking back down to the revealing dress. Loki chuckled softly at her. “Well, he has good taste. I will give him that.” He said teasing the brunette, she tilted her head and then swatted his chest. “Ow.” He said sarcastically, the smiled softly at her. “Come on. Let’s amuse him, we may learn more about whatever this place is at dinner.” He said as he picked up the suits jacket and looked it over. Y/n sighed an annoyed sigh, she knew he was right. They were in no place to go against this mans wishes right now. They knew to little about the place and what they were up against. She turned on her heels and walked into the bathroom and got dressed.
She looked into the mirror the gold dress fit perfect. Hugging her waist and curves falling down to the floor. The deep v neck of the dress revealed a little more than she would have liked. She messed with her hair a little trying to fix it to better suit the dress then put on the heals. After she was done she opened the door to see Loki waiting for her already dressed and ready to go. She looked at him as he turned, the suit looked great on him she has to admit. It flattered him perfectly.
Loki turned and was stunned at what he saw. He was lost fro words. She looked stunning in the dress, he watched as she smiled softly then looked down nervously then walked over to him. He shuffled on his feet rubbing his hands together. They slid together a little too losely, he was sweating a little. Wait what? He realized that he was nervous. ‘Nervous? I don’t get nervous.’ He thought.
“Umm, you- you look great.” He said stuttering his words, his tongue suddenly feeling too big. She smiled at him her cheeks turning a pale shade of pink.
“Thank you. Are we ready?” She said softly, he nodded as he rubbed his hands on his pants turning and opening the door. Once out of the room he shut the door behind them, they were met with a different guard.
“I am here to escort you.” He said as he turned and started to walk off. Loki extended his arm for Y/n. She looked down at his arm and then back at Loki. He nodded slightly and she wrapped her arm around his holding on to his arm as they started to walk. They needed to stay close, and made it look it that way too.

They walked into the room where the dinner was being held. In the center of the room was a long rectangular table filled with every food you could think of. For another planet the food looked very similar. The grand master caught eye of them and raised to his feet clapping his hands smiling.
“There they are. The honored guests of tonights banquet!” He said as he waved them over. The tow looked at each other then walked over to where he was.
“Please, Please sit.” He said as he motioned to either side of him. Then separated their arms and sat beside him. They were both served drink and a plate for either one of them. Loki took the glass of whatever it was a smelled it.
“Oh it’s just wine.” The grandmaster laughed as he took a sip of his and asked for a refill, them pouring the same liquid in his glass. Loki at ease a little took a small sip of his glass. Y/n followed seeing that he was content with the food and wine.
“Now, I want to know how you did that trick.” The grand master said as he handed a piece of bread to Y/n. She held the bread in her hand and glanced up to the Grand Master who was smiling at her. She then quickly looked at Loki and then back to the bread. Well, the power I have allows me to manipulate all kinds of things. Whenever I want to do something all I have to do is think about it and it happens.” She said vaguely. She knew she couldn’t let everything out, she didn’t know his intentions. He nodded intrigued with what she was saying. She then looked at the bread and let her fingertips glow purple the bread growing in her hand to a bigger loaf of bread.
The Grand master laughed and clapped his hands then patted Y/n on the shoulder. She smiled playing along.
“Now that is just too amazing. What about you my friend.” He said turning to Loki. Loki froze looking at him then a grin swept across his face. He then placed his hand on the Grand masters shoulder
“Now, everyone knows a good magician never reviews his secrets.” He said politely making the Grand master laugh and nod in agreement. Y/n smirked taking a sip of her wine. This guy is good. She thought to herself.
“Well please you two, enjoy yourselves. You two are welcomed guests in my home. This is a place of peace and fulfillment. He said as he patted Y/n thigh then getting up and walking off to talk with others. Y/n tilted her head and smiled at Loki with wide eyes. Loki smiled back sliding in the seat beside Y/n.
As the night went on they ate, talked with others gaining a bit of knowledge about the city they were in. Sakkar, was a place for all things unwanted. The Grand Master rules the place with a heavy fist. Subjects are free here to do what they want as long as it pleases the Grand Master. The people who live in the palms are his inner circle, which they found out they were not a part of.
After the banquet started to dim down though the night the two excused themselves back to their room.
“Well that was interesting.” Y/n said taking off her heals as they walked in. Once they were off she tossed them into the chair that was in the corner of the rom with a sigh of relief. “Those things are the most uncomfortable things in the world.” She complained ad Loki chuckled silently. She turned to him and smiled “I am going to get changed. I’ll be back.” She said as she then turned but was stopped by Loki grabbing her hand.
“Please, allow me.” He said gently then both their bodies were engulfed with shivering green magic and they were both in something now a bit more comfortable.
Y/n looked down and back up with a huge smile on her face. “How did you?” She said waving at the clothes they were now in.
“Darling, didn’t you pay attention. A magician never reviels.” He said teasingly as she rolled her eyes.
“It’s a basic spell.” Loki said giving her a bit more information. She nodded and smiled. “Magic?” She said pointing at Loki, he nodded in response.
Y/n then raised her hand to her mouth and let out a small yawn. Loki smiled and chuckled to himself. He patted her arm and walked over to the couch.
“I don’t see us escaping this dreadful place anytime soon. Why don’t we get some rest.” He said sitting on the couch. Y/n nodded then looked at the bed.
“You’re not sleeping in the bed.” She asked raising an eyebrow pointing to the bed. Loki shook his head then materialized a blanket and pillow.
“Despite my namesake, I am a gentlemen.” He said tilting his head a little to the side. Y/n smiled and thanked him. She then crawled into bed and quickly fell asleep.
Loki laced on the couch contemplating the day that they all had. Where was Thor? Was he alive even? And what in the Norns was he to do now? He sighed and then finally dozed off.

The morning came quickly Loki woke to the sound of running water. He opened his eyes and looked around, the bed was empty and already made. A cart was in the room with food on it and the smell of soap filled the air.
He sat up and magicked the blanket into a nice neat fold on the couch and stood up looking around. The bathroom door was closed, Y/n was taking a shower. He walked over to the cart and saw different variates of pastries, fruits and beverages. He saw a plate with some crumbs and the leftovers of some of the stuff on the table that was in the corner beside the door that lead out of the balcony. He figured Y/n had already eaten and grabbed a handful of grapes. He then heard the water stop.
A little while later the door opened and out came Y/n trailing her fingers through her hair and smiled a little when she saw Loki awake.
“A maid came and Brought breakfast, curtesy of out humble hoast” She exasperated waving her hands in mock of The Grand Master. Loki smirked a little shaking his head.
“I was thinking that we could maybe explore and figure out how to get off this crazy planet or at least figure out where Thor is.” She said as she sat down and put on her shoes. Loki nodded and twirled a spoon in his hand.
“You okay?” Y/n asked walking over to Loki, he looked up to find her standing in front of him.
“You believe he’s alive?” Loki asked Y/n bluntly. She was taken aback a little. Blinking back up at him and tilting her head a little scrunching her eyebrows.
“Well, yeah. I mean we are, what’s to say he isn’t trying to find us now. I promised I would help Asgard, and then I’m going home.” She finished fixing her suit and starting to walk off. Loki turned and grabbed her hand preventing her from going any further.
“Listen, I get that you want to help our home. But you saw how ruthless she is. There isn’t even a promise Thor is here, or can even find us.”
Y/n scoffed a bit and took her hand away from Loki.
“Look. You can sit in the room all day if you like. But I’m finding a way off this planet. With or without your help.” Y/n stated before turning and walking out of the room. Loki sighed and looked down. He rolled his eyes and started to walk after her a trail of green covering him changing him in his suit.
He caught up to her a few hallways down, walking beside her he looked ate her through the corner of his eye to see her looking at him. He looked back in front of them as they walked
“I’ll help you find what you are looking for.” He said as he looked back at her, she nodded to him. They were stopped by The grand master walking towards them.
“There you two are! I was hoping to run into you two tonight. I wanted to be the first to tell you, were having a party tonight. To welcome my two new parties to the circle.” He said as he smiled at them. Loki stepped forward a little and smiled.
“We would be honored to attend. We were just coming to thank you for your hospitality.” He said bowing slightly. The Grand Master smiled even bigger, giving Y/n a shiver down her spine. He waved Loki up and then nodded.
“Yes Yes, well after seeing the wonders that your girl can do, I believe you two can be of great use to me and our cause here on Sakkar.” He said grinning over to Y/n. Wait, did he say. His girl? Okay too far. Y/n was about to correct him but Loki places his hand on her back and smiled.
“We look forward to serving.” Loki said as he bows his head. “Now of you would excuse us, we were just on our way to explore our new city.” Loki said as The grand Master waved them on and they started to walk again.
Y/n and Loki walked until they were out of range of his ears. Y/n stopped and started at Loki raising her eyebrows at him. “Excuse me? What was that?” She said making Loki stop and turn to her. “What was what?” He asked
“All that. Back there.” She started waving her hand in the direction they just came from. “Your Girl? The cause? We look forward to serving? What the hell are you doing?” She said a little too loud causing looks from the people passing. Loki stepped closer shushing her. He then looked at her a whispered.
“You and I both know, sticking out is not good. If you are wanting to sneak around we need to be seen as that we belong. We have favor with the Grand Master. We need to keep it.” Loki said quietly. Y/n rolled her eyes at Loki looking around the halls.
“Fine. We’ll play your little game.” She said raising her hands in defeat. She then pointed her finger into Loki’s chest. “But you need to learn quickly. I do not need your protection. I can take care of myself.” She said as she started off walking again. Loki looked up from where her finger was and smirked at her, quickly following.

Loki and Y/n were walking around the palace trying to find more information on where exactly Sakkar was, and what this so called Cause was. Y/n knew something was up, but she just couldn’t put her finger on it. They came to some kind of bar dining area. A woman with a long braid and face pain looking makeup came walking towards them.
“So, you two are the new members of The Grand Masters circle?” She said looking them up and down, she was clearly drinking. They both nodded at her.
“About that, what is the circle?” Y/n asked the woman. She smirked at Y/n then finished the rest of her drink. You two basically just hang around the palace. There isn’t anything special about it. Some of us get contestants for the fights.” She started placing a hand on her chest then out as she finished “Others are there for the um..parties. And then the rest are to help with maintaining balance as he calls it. There aren’t many rules here. Just do as he says and you two will be able to live here without a worry.” She said shrugging grabbing another bottle of liquor from the table beside them.
“Live here.” Loki asked and she nodded.
“There isn’t a way out of this place. So might as well enjoy it. You two are Lucky, most don’t get into his favor that quickly.” She finished tasing her glass and beginning to drink. Loki and Y/n looked at each other and then back at her.
“May we get your name?” Loki asked her. She looked him up and down then over to Y/n before signing. “Scrapper 456.” Y/n was about to say something but she turned and left before she got the chance.
“Okay, well that helped almost none.” Y/n sighed as they started to walk off again.
“It’s getting late, we may need to get back to the room and get ready for the party tonight.” Loki said and she nodded.
“Maybe we can get some more there.” She said as they walked back to the room.

Loki and Y/n walked into the banquet hall and was surprised to what they found. People eating, drinking dancing and well, doing more than talking. “Woah.” Y/n mumbled as they walked further into the room. They were served glasses of what looked like wine and champagne. The both looked around to maybe get sense of what was happening.
“Ahh, look my favorite guests!” The grandmaster said as he walked up. He looked Y/n up and down and grabbed her hand.
“You muy darling are looking beautiful.” He said as he winked at her. She was dressed in another one of the gowns he brought to her room. This one a little more revealing and a dark shade of green. Loki clenched his jaw and moved his hands to his pockets and he cleared his throat. The grand master then patted Loki’s shoulder.
“You my friend, I would like to get to know more.” He said as he pulled him along into the crowd of people. Leaving Y/n standing there to fend for herself in this chaos. She sighed and looked around, she saw a bar with some empty chairs and made her way over there. She remembered Loki telling her to just blend in and not do anything to stand out too much. To keep the eyes off her. So she did just that, she ordered a drink and sat at the bar waiting for Loki to come back so they could start asking around.
A few hours in and she was getting bored, she swirled the wine in her glass around watching the ripples go in circles.
“A girl like you shouldn’t be alone.” A stance voice said from behind her, making her jump a little. She was met with a man leaning on the bar beside her, he was grinning at her. She sighed and then relaxed. “Sorry, didn’t mean to startle you love.” He said
Y/n turned back in her chair to face the counter “It’s okay, just wasn’t expecting someone to sneak up on me. But I guess with the music blaring it’s hard to hear when someone does.” She said. The man laughed a little and sat down beside her. She internally rolled her eyes but put on a soft smile to the man anyway not wanting to be rude.
“So, why is a woman as beautiful as you sitting all by yourself? Shurly you’re not here by yourself.” He asked leaning in a little bit closer to her. She straighten up a little and tried to force a smile.
“No, the person I came with got whisked away by The Grandmaster to talk. I’m sure he’ll be back soon.” She said as he nodded the man then waved the bartender over and ordered two drinks. The bartender making them quickly and then handing them to him. He then gave one to Y/n who took it with a thank you. She sat it back on the counter as he took a sip and playing his beside hers.
“Well, if I were him I Wouldn’t want to leaver your side. Someone Might swoop in and steal ya.” He said placing his hand on Y/n’s knee and slowly sliding it up to her thigh. Y/n shifted in her seat a little and was about to tell him to stop but before she could do anything a hand grabbed the mans hand from her thigh.
The mans hand was then raised up Y/n and the strangers eyes following only to be met with Loki’s glaring back at the man.
“I suggest you move along. Don’t touch her again.” He said to the man sternly, not blinking once. The other man then stood up and smirked at Loki.
“And what if I don’t?” He whispered back antagonizing Loki. Loki chuckled a little gripping his wrist tighter making the man shuffle on his feet now uncomfortable. Loki then slammed the mans hand onto the bar him letting the mans head follow. He then crouched down for the man to hear him.
“You don’t want to know what I can do.” Loki said back.
“Loki, that’s enough.” Y/n said breaking Loki from the fight that was starting. He looked up at her then back down to the man. Y/n looked around to see people staring at the scene. She placed her hand on Loki’s shoulder to calm him, his grip on the man not wavering.
“Leave him. Let’s go back to the room. Okay?” She said softly to him. Loki pushed the man away, him scrambling away. Y/n then jumped down from the bar stool looking at Loki who then looked at her. She sighed and started to walk out of the party. Loki following her shoving his way through the crowd of people.
The walked back to the room in silence Y/n leading the way and Loki following. Loki knew he shouldn’t have done that, causing a commotion was what they didn’t need. But when he looked over too check on Y/n and saw the man touching her when he could clearly see she wasn’t interested sparked something inside him. First with the Grandmaster and then with some random man. He couldn’t explain it, he didn’t know why but it infuriated him seeing someone touch her like that. Seeing it sent him in a blind fury, making his way over to the two with tunnel vision only wanting to break every bone in the mans body.
Loki was broke out of his thoughts when he heard the door slam behind him. He looked around and found himself in the center of the room, he didn’t even realize they had made it back. He looked at Y/n who was just staring at him.
“What the hell Loki. I though making a scene was the last thing we wanted!” She started crossing her hands over her chest. Loki sighed and then rubbed his temple with his hand.
“I know okay. I’m sorry. I just..” Loki trailed off not knowing how to explain this one, he didn’t even know why he done what he done.
“Just what? You just what Loki? I thought I already made myself clear that I don’t need you to protect me.” Y/n said taking off her shoes and starting back at him. Loki nodded
“And I know that. I do-” Loki started but was cut off by Y/n walking to him.
“It don’t seam like it. I can take care of myself.” She said sternly. Loki glared at her.
“Oh really? Like how you did back on Asgard? I seam to recall that you fell off the bridge.” Loki snapped back, Y/n was taken aback then rolled her eyes.
“Oh please, don’t try that card. We wouldn’t even be in this mess if you wouldn’t have came and got me in the first place.” She said sash sat down on the couch crossing her arms.
“Your forgetting that I didn’t come calling. My brother did. And he was wrong, you did nothing back there. No one can beat her, she took his hammer and shattered it like it was glass.” Loki said back staring down at her. She looked up and the glared at him. She stood up and walked over to him, coming inches away from him she started up at him.
“Listen here, I left my home, everything I knew and loved to help you two. I don’t need some jackass to look down on me. I may not be a God but I sure as hell have power. So don’t say I did nothing.” She said to him as her eyes flashed a shade of purple. As fast as it was there it was gone Loki stared down at her lost for words. She turned and started to make her way to the bathroom. “I’m going to change and go to bed. Goodnight.” She said sternly before closing the door leaving Loki standing there staring that the bathroom door.

The next morning Loki woke to a empty room. The bed was made and Y/n was no where to be seen. He sighed and stood up changing into his suit with a shrug of his shoulders. He had to apologize to Y/n for last night. Things got out of hand, he knew he was a bit to sharp with her when all she done was try to help them. He needed to help her get off this planet and back home.
He left the room and started down the hallways and through the palace to find her. Room and room, hall after hall, floor after floor he came up empty. He knew he screwed up, but did she really just up and leave. He sighed starting to give up when he walked into a grand room with people all around talking and drinking. His eyes then fell onto Y/n who was standing at the windows just looking outside. He gave out a small sigh and then made his way up to her stopping beside her looking out the window with her.
He could sense her hurt and wish to go back home. He looked down at his feet and placed his hands in his pockets.
“I’m sorry, for last night. I know your just trying to help.” Y/n said softly, not looking away from the city down below them. Loki looked up at her, why is she apologizing? He thought.
“No, I’m the one who needs to apologize. I overstepped. It won’t happen again.” He said just as soft. She finally looked at him and smiled softly.
“Thank you for the apology but I think we both said things we didn’t mean.” She said looking up at him, he smiled and nodded. “Maybe.” He said back and they both nodded back.
“Why did you dive for me when I fell?” She asked suddenly, Loki was taken off guard. He looked at her confused “I’m sorry?” He asked receiving the same look back from Y/n.
“Back on Asgard. When I fell off the bridge, why did you jump after me. You could have easily went to her and gave up went to her side. Or a million other things.” She said, Loki then looked back at her.
“I um, I don’t know. I once fell off the bridge and fell to a very cruel place. I guess I didn’t want you to face the same fate, at least alone that is.” He said honestly, he didn’t know what to think of his feeling towards Y/n, but he did need to admit there was something there.
Y/n smiled then stepped closer to him and placed a hand on his chest.
“Thank you Loki. Maybe you’re nat as bad as everyone says you are after all.” She started with a smile looking up at Loki. He stared at her blankly, no one had ever said that before. He smiled at her and nodded. “I’m going to maybe figure some way to get out of here. I’ll meet you back at the room before dinner okay?” She finished as he nodded his head and smiled back patting her hand. He watched her as she walked away and out oof the room.
“LOKI” He heard, he turned and saw his brother strapped to a chair. Oh dear, he thought as he saw his brother motioning him to come over. The grandmaster right beside him. How was he to play this one off?
