The Day MJ Wants To Have The Talk!
As soon as the bell rang, Peter dashed out of his classroom to meet Ned who was waiting for him in the parking area but unfortunately his Parker luck decided to strike that day. As he was running, his spider senses betrayed him and he bumped into Flash in the hallway.
"Hey Penis! What the hell do you think you are doing?" Flash growled.
Peter was startled, "I'm sorry Flash, I was in a hurry and I didn't see you!"
"Hey you just cannot bump into me and then go away. You wanna fight me Penis? Hey!!!"
Flash kept yelling but Peter couldn't care less. He ran to the parking lot to see Ned already there.
"Dude! I've been waiting for so long. Where have you been?" Ned whined.
"Ned I'm so sorry. I got caught up with Flash on the way." Peter replied. Ned brushed it off.
"No worries Pete. Hey you ready to build our new lego set? I got the brand new Batman lego set. We can build Gotham city and you've already been there and have worked with Batman so it would be so cool"
"I'm sooooo ready" Peter squealed. Just then MJ joined the three.
"Hey Loosers! What's up?"
"Hey MJ" Ned waves at her. Peter smiled, blushing.
"Hey girlfriend!"
"Hey boyfriend" MJ smiled.
Ned groaned, "You guys are so cringe"
"Funny you'd say that cause we are trying to do you and Betty" MJ smirked but then she became serious and turned to Peter.
"Hey umm I need to talk to you about something important. It's serious. Can you meet me at the park after my shift?"
"Ya ya sure." Peter nodded.
"Okay I'll see you then. Bye. Bye Ned" saying so, MJ left. Ned moved closer to Peter.
"Dude what did you do?"
"Me? I didn't do anything. Why?" Peter was confused.
"You don't know? This is what a girl says when she wants to break up. That's how Betty broke up with me the first time"
"Hey I don't think it's that right? right?" now Peter was getting worried.
"She seemed pretty serious"
Oh god! Peter's nerves went high. He must have somehow fucked up. He loved MJ but couldn't tell her before. She was the best part of his life. He was disturbed the entire day. While petrolling, he stumbled and fell down multiple times. He was supposed to visit the Avengers Tower after petrol to help Tony with a few stuff and some post mission formalities of their previous missions.
The kid swang through the window into the drawing room. Bucky and Steve were talking when they noticed him.
"Hey kid! How was your day?" Steve asked Peter with a smile. But Peter couldn't hear him as he was lost in his thoughts and while going towards the elevator, he crashed into the centre table and landed on his butt. Steve and Bucky ran to help him up. Just then Natasha and Pepper also came in and found Peter on the ground.
"Oh god Peter! What happened?" Pepper asked concerned. Peter scratched his head still not knowing what happened.
"I don't really know what happened"
Bucky snickered, "Ya Spidey you just totally landed on the floor on your own". Steve helped Peter up and made him sit on the couch.
"Are you okay Peter?" Steve asked.
"Uhmm.. Yes I think I am Mr. Rogers" Peter replied.
"I'm getting you some chocolate milkshake " Natasha said heading to the kitchen. Suddenly the elevator doors opened and Tony Stark walked in.
"Hey anybody know where the kid is he's supposed to be... Oh hey Pete you're here. Why didn't you come down? Umm what's going on?"
"Tony, Peter fell down and hurt himself" Pepper replied.
"Oh no no Mrs. Stark I'm alright" Peter said sheepishly.
"What's going on Kid? I thought you had super senses." Tony asked.
"Mmm nothing Mr. Stark."
"Pete you know you can share with us" Natasha said handing him the glass of chocolate milkshake.
"I... I think MJ wants to break up with me" Peter said quietly.
"What? How? Why?" Tony kept asking.
"Tony give him a break. What happened Peter?" Steve asked, crouching down to his level.
"Well MJ said she wanted to talk about something seriously important"
"Ohh boy you're so screwed! That's the universal break up line for women" Bucky said with an exaggerated expression.
"Oh ya? You surely know a lot about it. Hope Yelena knows about it" Natasha warned Bucky. Bucky quickly became quite.
"No Bucky's right. That's something I said for the first time but women do use that phrase a lot to break up." Tony said with a grim face.
Pepper shook her head. "Peter don't listen to them. She surely wants to talk to you about something else. You both are so cute together. You are a good partner, unlike your mentor. Don't worry" She comforted him.
"You’re sure Mrs. Stark?"
"Umhm"
"Alright" Peter calmed down.
"Tony can give you a break today. Have some snacks, calm down and go talk to her, okay?" Steve said.
"Oh okay Mr. Rogers. Thank you" Peter replied. Steve smiled and ruffled the kid's hair.
"Ya and anyways if anything happens, just straight out apologise even before she says something" Tony said patting the kid's shoulders.
Peter waited in the Central Park for MJ to come. They had decided to meet over there. He was nervous and was fidgeting when he saw MJ coming.
"Hey Peter! Sorry got a bit late. Rush hour and all you know" MJ said coming near to him.
"No no it's alright. Here it's for you" Peter handed her a chocolate bar.
"Thanks. Okay now the reason I called you here. I have something important to say" MJ said. Peter couldn't hold himself and bursted out.
"I'm very very sorry for whatever I have done though I don't know what it is. I can assure you it was unintentional. I never meant to hurt you. I promise I will be a good boyfriend. Please don't break up with me. Please!" Peter almost cried out. MJ was dumbfounded.
"What are you talking about dude?" MJ asked, confused.
"Please don't break up with me"
"Who told you I was going to break up with you?"
"You said you wanted to talk"
"So?"
"You don't want to break up with me then?" Peter asked with wide eyes.
"Uhh no? I just wanted to ask you for a favor" MJ replied.
"Oh what is it?" Peter asked.
"My neighbor is going out of town for a few days and wants me to look after her gold fish but you know I am not a big fan of sea creatures so I wanted to ask you if you can look after the gold fish on behalf of me. She'll pay you"
Peter let out a sigh of relief. "Oh oh ya sure. I'll do it. No problem"
"Hey thanks. Now tell me where did you get the idea that I was breaking up with you?" MJ asked with her hands on her waist.
"Well... Ned said it first and then Mr. Bucky and Mr. Stark also said that girls say they want to talk when they want to break up sooooo...." Peter replied sheepishly.
"You listened to Ned, the idiot who breaks up and gets back together with Betty every other month? And the stupid Avengers guys who always look for a way to pull your leg?" MJ asked.
"Ya... But I promise you I'll never listen to them. Ever again." Peter replied.
"Good" MJ nodded.
"Hey want to get ice cream?" Peter proposed.
"Sure"
Peter and MJ walked off to the ice cream parlor, hand in hand.
