The Day Of The Field Trip To Avengers Tower.
Synopsis : This is another Peter Parker field trip fic.
Peter has a field trip to the Avengers Tower. What can go wrong? Well a lot can. (Peter centric)
Peter Parker. Just your ordinary 16 year old teenager. Has an amazing best friend Ned and a wonderful girlfriend MJ. But do you know something? He's 'the' Tony Stark's personal intern and beloved by all the Avengers. Let me let you in another secret. He's the kid in the red and blue suit swinging through New York stopping crimes. He's Spider man. But shhhh... It's a secret. Nobody knows it. Well except for the Avengers, his Aunt May, his best friend Ned and his girlfriend MJ. Now our dear Peter Parker was sitting in his class one day, oblivious to what was going to happen next...
Ned : Dude you're still up for Saturday's Nintendo game night right?
Peter : Ya ya I'll never miss it.
Just then Mr. Dubose, their math teacher came in. He was holding a bunch of papers in his hand but Peter couldn't figure out what it was. But Peter didn't have to wait as he announced the news himself.
Mr. Dubose : Students I just came from the Principal's office with some news. The school has arranged a field trip for the decathlon team. It'll be a learning experience. More will be informed to you by Mr. Harrington. I will hand out the consent form and your guardian has to sign it.
The news sent everyone to silence. The kids in the decathlon team were intrigued. The other students didn't care much. They didn't want to go to some boring trip with overly studious students. Peter was lucky that he'd still have Aunt May to sign for it that day because she was leaving town for a couple of days and Peter was supposed to stay with the Avengers. He couldn't be more excited. It was mainly Stark's idea. After school, the decathlon team gathered in the auditorium as Mr. Harrington started.
Mr. Harrington : Students, as you might have heard you are going on a field trip. I will give you all the details. The trip is on this Friday to the....drumroll..... Avengers Tower.
What. Just. Happened. Peter couldn't believe his own ears. The others were rejoicing but Peter had zoned out all the noise. One thing was going on his mind. This cannot be happening. He will have to go on a field trip to the place where he will be staying. He knew Mr. Stark was behind it. God, now he has to find a way to get out of it. All the students went out and Peter was met with Ned and MJ.
Ned (excitedly) : Dude!
MJ (surprised) : Dude!
Peter (worried) : Dude!
MJ : I can't believe this. We are actually going there. I mean I know Peter goes there all the time but it's amazing. I might finally get to meet her.
Ned : I know meeting Mr. Stark would be amazing. Wait, who are you talking about?
MJ : Natasha Romanoff of course. Black Widow. She's my role model. I love her. She's badass and cool....
Peter knew his friends were excited but they didn't know what they were in for. Peter was getting a little scared. Not because Flash might tease him but because the Avengers only would take that upon themselves. Speaking of the devil, Flash came to him.
Flash : Hey Penis Parker! Excited for the trip? I was thinking about getting an internship too like you.
Peter : Ahh I don't think it works like that.
Flash : Why? When you can get one why can't I?
Peter was going to say something but Flash was called by some of his friends arnd he went away. Peter sighed. This is gonna be hell. After going back, he tried hard to convince May not to let him go but she said that it would be a good trip and he can prove them that he was Tony Stark's personal intern. So he had to give in now his last chance was to talk to his super family. The next May had left so he went to the tower from school. Not many people were there then so he thought of talking to them over dinner. It was a tradition for them to have dinner together. Or they atleast try. So that night, when everyone was at the dinner table, Peter cleared his throat.
Peter : Umm I have to talk to you guys about something.
Tony : What is it Peter?
Peter : Ahh Mr. Stark I think you so know that our decathlon team is having a field trip here in 3 days.
Tony : Oh right! It's going to be fun. Isn't it Peter?
Peter : Fun. Yes. It will be if you guys do not interrupt.
Steve : But why? Wouldn't your friends like to see us?
Peter : They will. But you will all try to embarrass me.
Natasha : Peter, we promise you we won't do anything.
Peter : Are you sure?
All of them together : We are.
Tony : We won't let anyone think that we know you.
Peter : OK good.
Oho. That wasn't good because the Avengers had other plans. They might be superheroes who save the world but they would drop everything if they get a chance to do something 'naughty'. Soon the dreaded day of the field trip had arrived. All the students were in the bus, excitement pouring out of them. It was so wierd for Peter because he literally went to school from the tower and his school was taking them there only. Even Flash was too busy getting excited about meeting Mr. Stark that he didn't say anything to Peter.
MJ : Hey Peter are you sure Ms. Romanoff would be there?
Peter : Yes. She's supposed to be there.
Ned : And what about Captain America?
Peter : I think everyone will be there. I just hope they won't do anything wierd.
The bus arrived and Mr. Harrington got all the students down and in a line in front of the entrance gate. Soon an intern that Peter has seen earlier came to them.
Marie : Hello everyone. I'm Marie Stevens and Mr. Stark has personally asked me to give you all a tour of the tower. You will all get your passes which will allow you to the different section of the tower.
All the students and Mr. Harrington got their passes and stepped in the elevator when a robotic voice everyone.
F. R. I. D. A. Y. : Hello students and teacher, welcome to the Avengers Tower. I'm F. R. I. D. A. Y, the tower's resident A. I. I'll help you too.
Marie : Thank you F. R. I. D. A. Y
Peter was surprised that
F. R. I. D. A. Y didn't even acknowledge him. Although he was glad that he wasn't mentioned but it was wierd because she always greets him but he didn't think much as they came out to the labs. It was 15th floor. There were few interns here and there. The students were roaming around looking at the different things that was in progress. The interns were explaining them the things that were in making and lo hold and behold Peter noticed someone. Bruce Banner was there talking to one of the interns. All the students immediately gathered around him. Bruce smiled and answered all their questions. But what Peter couldn't understand that Bruce did not come to him even once. So he went to him by himself
(Small note : All the Avengers currently staying at the Avengers Tower are Steve, Natasha, Bucky, Sam, for now Peter, Bruce and Rhodey. Tony lives in his penthouse and spends most of his time here. Clint is at his farm and Thor in New Asgard.)
Peter : Hey Mr. Banner.
Bruce looked up.
Bruce : Oh hey kid what's your name?
Peter was taken aback. Are they really going to ignore him like this. He didn't think they would actually do it.
Peter : Ahh I'm Peter Parker.
Bruce (smiling) : Nice to meet you Peter Parker.
Someone from one of the students spoke up.
Annie : Hey Pete don't you work here?
Peter couldn't say anything so Bruce spoke up.
Bruce : Oh so you are the kid Tony told me about. It's nice to see you.
Peter scratched his ear awkwardly. Thank goodness Marie stepped in took them to the museum. The museum tour was uneventful. But then they went to the gym. Peter knew whom he will find in the gym.
GYM
Natasha and Steve were sparing with each other and Bucky was lifting heavy weights when Sam walked in. Sam groaned.
Sam : Guys it's so not fair.
The three of them stopped.
Steve : Whats wrong?
Sam : You are all super soldiers and I'm just a normal person. You guys are much stronger than me.
Natasha stiffened a laughter. Bucky had an idea.
Bucky : Hey you can be too. You just have to train very hard. I'll help you.
Sam arched an eyebrow.
Sam : Really?
Bucky nodded vigorously.
Bucky : Yes.
Natasha : Okay you have one last chance. If you don't wanna die run.
Sam didn't wait for an answer and started to dash out.
Bucky : Not fair. You ruined all the fun.
Sam on the other hand couldn't go out as he bumped into Peter's class.
Marie : Oh hi Mr. Wilson. I was just touring the class. Can we go in?
Sam : Ya sure.
Saying so he left. The three avengers in gym had also noticed them and jumped on to the plan they had. Not knowing Peter. The class approached them. They started fanboying/fangirling over them. Mr. Harrington personally went up to Captain America and made him sign on the back of his shirt. MJ nervously went to Black Widow.
MJ : Hello Ms. Romanoff. Oh my god you are Black Widow.
Natasha (smiling) : Hi
MJ : Oh my God I'm such a big fan of you. I'm Michelle by the way. A friend of Peter's.
A smirked played on Natasha's lips.
Natasha : Oh so you are the girl Peter talks about who found out he was spider-man and told him only.
It's so good to finally meet you. He likes you know.
MJ blushed.
MJ : Thank you Ms. Romanoff. I mean you are my role model. You're such a badass and cool and not to mention the woman in a group of men.
Natasha : Ikr. Sometimes I feel like I'm babysitting these kids. The guys act so immature half of the times.
MJ : isn't it? It's the same when I hang out with these guys.
Natasha : You know I like you. Come to the tower again. We can talk. Now we have to go back to behaving like we don't know Peter.
They both laughed and Natasha left. Peter on the other hand was now feeling sad that none of them were acknowledging him. They were acting like he was just Tony's intern. He was now regretting telling the Avengers to stay out of their trip. He went up to Steve. He was the good one.
Peter : Hello Mr. Rogers
Steve : Oh hi Peter. How's the tour going?
Peter was relieved that at least he was talking to him.
Peter : Good good Mr. Rogers.
Steve : Great. Work hard next time you're interning here.
Whaaat. Nooo. Not him too. What will Peter do now. But he was sure that Mr. Stark will not do this because their last stop was meeting upstairs in his own lab. They all went downstairs to the 10th floor. It was a huge area. I mean of course it was. It was Tony Stark's lab. As they students went in they were greeted my the non other than Tony Stark. Iron Man. They all went frenzied. Mr. Harrington almost fainted so Daisy had to take him back to the bus. The kids were asking Tony questions and he answered them while throwing quips here and there. By then all the other avengers had come there. Tony then went to Peter. He was so happy when he spoke.
Tony : Oh hey Peter Parker. My youngest and most talented intern. Good to see you here. Can you stay here after your trip? I've some work for you.
Peter's mouth dropped. Him too. Peter had landed himself in this position for telling them not to interfere. I mean it would have been awkward but he would have enjoyed it. He had actually thought that they would still do wierd things but he didn't expect the silent treatment. He couldn't take it anymore. Peter was facing Tony's back when he blasted.
Peter : Why are you doing this?
Tony : Doing what intern?
Tony said still turned around. He was smirking.
Peter : I'm sorry I told you guys to stay out. Please stop it now dad.
The entire room went silent. All of them were stunned. Even the Avengers. He has dropped the 'd' bomb. Peter realized what he said and turned pale.
Peter : Oh my god!
Tony slowly turned to face Peter, shocked.
Tony : What did you say?
Peter : I'm so sorry Mr. Stark. I didn't mean to.
Tony : Did you just call me dad?
Peter : Yes I did. I mean I'm sorry it was a mistake.
Tony turned to Marie.
Tony : You know let's end the tour here. Can you please escorts them back to the bus. Except Peter.
Marie : For sure Mr. Stark. Kids, let's go.
No one complained. Everyone was too shocked at what just happened. Peter called Tony Stark 'dad'. Flash couldn't say anything but he would definitely when they go to school the next day. So would MJ and Ned. The class went down in the elevator and Tony and Peter along with the present avengers were all alone in the lab. Tony didn't say anything. He just silently went to Peter and hugged him. Peter was so startled. He never knew this day would finally come. He was hugging Tony whom he did see as a father figure and did actually mean it when he called him dad. Peter hugged him back. A while later Tony broke the hug and Peter could see a hint of tears in his eyes.
Tony : Ohkay I'll be going upstairs now. Come back when you please.
Saying so he went up. Everybody knew he went to call up and tell Pepper. Peter was still so stunned.
Peter : What just happened?
Natasha : You dropped the 'd' bomb kid.
For the next couple of days he was immensely teased at school. Especially by Flash and back home by his superfamily but deep down he was happy that he did it. Tony was really like a dad to him.
