“So what are we gonna watch today, buddy?”
“You choose”, The black goo pinched Edie’s cheek.
“I don’t know man.. I feel like we’ve seen every movie possible.”
“Not every.. You still don’t wanna watch “Twilight” with us!” The small ,puppy sized head leaned into Eddie’s chest.
“Why are you so obsessed with this trilogy? Oh let me guess ….it’s another story about 1000 years old fart with powers and his “girl in danger not like everyone else” love interest. Ohhhh and I almost forgot to mention …Thanks to him she became stronger and better!”
Eddie made a sarcastic face, with his head slightly tilted, which V hated.
“I’m starting to see the pattern”
“EDDIE YOU SHOULD NOT SHAME SOMEONE FOR THEIR KINKS”
“How do you even kno….”
“We’re bored when you sleep. So we do our research.”
“Well now you are officially kinkshamed, pal”
It was one of those days when Eddie and Venom couldn’t decide what they want to watch on their Friday movie night. Usually Eddie just scrolls through TikTok and finds a movie that in his opinion might suit booth of their preferences (Violence and romance for Venom and Action comedy for Eddie). They watched “Bullet train” last time and it was fucking hilarious. Venom was so enamored with Japanese culture that he spent most of the following week begging Eddie to go there on vacation.
“Oh , oh I know ….what about “Alien”?” Venom moved to Eddie’s cheek. Making those puppy eyes.
”What about it?” The man said trying to hide his discomfort.
The thing is, Eddie didn't want to show V these movies because people tend to portray aliens as pure evil beings.
He remember how V was after Eddie had said the first time Edward is too old for Bella and they had the whole ass conversation about age gaps and life experiences. And let me tell you, given the huge age gap between them, Venom was very, very nervous about it up until Eddie explained that it’s not the same thing with them as in movies. Their case is more complicated, and you can’t really compare space goo life experience and average human life experience. It’s just not the same at all.
So Eddie was trying to avoid this “aliens are bad and want to conquer their beautiful earth” thing. Which is ironic cause V was one of those aliens, but not really.
“No we weren’t.” Venom said, staring at the screen.
“Dude, you said if I squeeze my eyes while thinking you wouldn’t be able to read my mind.”
“We said that because it looks funny when you do that.” One of the black tendrils slid down Eddie’s nose.
“Man, what the hell… how much did you see?”
“We were trying to find something on Netflix so we weren’t paying much attention. We saw a flashback of our conversation and something about aliens.”
Sometimes it’s a good think that V have short attention span.
“Ok, if you don’t want to watch “Alien”, then let’s watch “Life” ?” Venom said not looking away from the screen.
“No, no, absolutely not.” Eddie took the remote from Venom.
He recalled the moment in that movie when an alien killed one of the characters by literally crawling into his mouth and tearing him apart from the inside.
“That is semi body horror and I don’t like that kind of stuff. But I have to admit that Ryan Reynolds is hot as hell in this movie.”
“We’re gonna call Wade…”
“What?”
“Nothing.”
“Maybe “Signs”? its classic.”
“And how do you know?” Eddie looked at his roommate skeptically.
“Oh, we saw that on Reddit” The black mass covered Eddie’s hand and stole the remote.
“Hey!!”
“What? Someone has to find something to watch, right?”
V continued scrolling through Netflix. A few moments later he came across a movie called “Annihilation”. Eddie looked at the screen, hoping that V found something from a different category. But oh well.
“What about this one?”
“Ehhh.. I don’t know. I’m not sure….even tho….”
“Don’t tell me you like this lunatic.”
“Excuse me sir! Oscar Isaac is hot. Can’t do anything about it”
“Ok, why don’t you want to watch anything space related ?”
“It’s not that I don’t want to watch, it’s, it’s just… Agh shit, ok. I don’t want you to see how people portray aliens…”
“Why is that?”
“Cause we.. they always portrayed them as enemies, and you remember how upset you were after our first film related confrontation? I didn’t want you to feel hatred towards yourself because of this”
“Pffff we wouldn’t….”
“No you would. I know you better than anyone. You just act tough but in reality there is a sensitive heart underneath these muscles.”
“You do realize that we don’t have neither heart nor muscles.”
“It’s true , but you know what I mean.” Eddie kissed a tendril and placed V’s head on his shoulder.
“But if you really want to, we can watch anything from your previous suggestions.” A heartwarming smile played on his face.
“THAN LETS WATCH TWILIGHTS!!”
“Anything but that.”
“Uhhhh…. Then “Alien”.”
“Ok, ok, buddy. Don’t get so excited. You may actually not like it.”
So they were watching a movie when it was raining outside. Venom wrapped around Eddie like a blanket, Eddie holding V's hand. Sometimes small tentacles would drag small snacks and stroke human’s head. It was a great start of the weekend. Only the two of them, and no one bothered them.
Later that night
“That wasn’t so bad after all”
“Eddie hold my hand.”
“Why? You scared now?”
“No, we feel SOMETHING in your body.”
“We’re afraid you are pregnant and might hurt yourself. We want to at least hold your hand while you’re still alive.”
“Yeah, hahaha”
Eddie felt as if Venom moved in his stomach. Like literally inside his stomach. But Venom’s presence in his body never felt like that. He panicked.
“WHAT THE FUCK?”
“WE TOLD YOU. JUST KNOW THAT WE LOVE YOU AND WILL LOOK AFTER OUR BABY!”
“VENOM ITS NOT FUNNY WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?”
“EVERYTHING WILL BE OK. Just don’t talk too much and kiss your lover.” Venom laughed out at full volume.
Eddie kicked the black mass around him.
“What the fuck, man? I was ready to die right here right now !”
“Oh, we couldn’t miss such opportunity.”
“Is that even possible???”
“No… well… actually we’re not entirely sure. But we could try.”
“Uhu, you wish”
