Andy strucker ( the gifted)
A/N: so I just re discovered a show called the gifted!! So I has originally made this into a stand alone book but had zero ideas for multiple chapters so I turned it into a one-shot! Hope y'all enjoy!! Over the past few days Andy hadn't felt the best it had started out as a normal cold, then he felt more tired had headaches more often and felt extremely nauseous. Lauren had picked up immediately but he brushed it of said he was fine and left it alone Now It was a peaceful evening, that was until an explosion was heard in the mutant underground. " What the hell was that?!" Lorna shouted as she was with the other mutants who ran the underground. John used his powers to hear that it came from the Strucker's room where Andy and Lauren were currently. "It came from Andy and Lauren's room we have to move fast though." He explained as they all took off running towards the sound of explosions. When they got there Lauren was in the corner crying softly while she let her shields down and pointed towards Andy. After everyone was in the room John walked over to Andy only to see he was sickly pale and had dark bags under his eyes. When John touched Andy he jerked awake yelping when he suddenly became dizzy, " Andy your sick and you've also over used your power." John examined Andy while Reed and Caitlin ran in the room and seeing their sickly looking son. " how long has he been like this Lauren?" "Well he said that he was feeling a little run down and was coughing a little but other then that he said he felt fine." Lauren replayed. "He's burning up guys if he has a fever on top of over working himself and his powers it's not going to end well." John informed while Andy fell back asleep " will you please tell us what is going on with our son?" Caitlin yelled fearing the worst for her son, " he's exhausted and his body has no way of fighting this off without making Andy lose control like he did this morning. Speaking of we need to get him somewhere secure." John explained. Andy was one of the most powerful mutants was going to bring the building down unless they found some way to help him . "The vault,It was made so it wouldn't break if one of the mutants lose control." Lorna explained. As they were talking Andy sat up and looked for the closest exit because he felt incredibly nauseous. "Andy? You ok? You're not looking so hot." Lauren said which caught the attention of everyone else in the room. His only response was throwing up on the bed which sent everyone into a frenzy. when they started to move andy to the vault to keep an eye on him while he was fighting off the virus that was raging in his body. They had to move him and fast if the didn't t want the whole building comping down with them all inside. Once they had gotten Andy on the couch inside the vault Andy became semi aware of what they were doing but was scared to open his mouth in case he got sick again. Lauren noticed her baby brother wakening up and wanting to know what was going on she could read him like a book which was helpful in these types of situations, " Hey guys Andy's awake if anyone cares enough." Lauren said sarcastically she knew when Andy got sick he was mostly put in her care but that was when times were different before they had people who cared for them, " Hey sleeping beauty how we feeling?" Lorna walked up to him Reed and Caitlin were surprised that the mutant had a soft side when they had only seen her trying to fight back against all who hated them. " not to good Lorna, I'm hot the cold I'm dizzy and it's not helping my stomach at all-." He got out before doubling over in pain, Lorna picked up on the ' I feel sick like right now but don't wanna say it and feel embarrassed' feeling from him she nodded towards Lauren to grab a trash can. As she ran back in she saw pilers shaking and growing under the stress of Andy'a powers " guys the vaults not working all the pilers are wanting to collapse because he's so sick!" Lauren explained, all the adults in the room quickly came up with a plain to keep Andy and everyone safe inside the building while Lorna held Andy through the bouts of sickness he was feeling. Lauren had her doubts she had used the same amount of power and was in the same climate as Andy was so why didn't she get sick instead of her little baby brother, she was mad at the world for the unfairness it was causing them at least if her power went haywire she could protect people not almost kill them! " Andy you gotta calm down unless you want us all killed, I know you can't control your power use but try to I know , I know it's like the school gym bathroom all over again but you figured out a way to control it then so you can try now." Lorna said gently trying not to scare the already scared teen. But that seemed to do the trick there was no more shaking of the pillars or the groaning of the strain put on them Andy was finally calming down by the looks of it, she looked down and saw the kid had worn him self out and fell asleep. They hoped with the sleep he'd get better faster and his mind would try to control his powers so he wouldn't have to waste energy and strength on trying to, but then came the nightmares, the fever dreams, Andy was a though kid who was going through a rough patch in life , finding out he was a mutant, over using his powers until he couldn't control them, and getting sick on top of all of this? Reed couldn't believe the kid hadn't stopped fighting and given up yet. " dad we gotta be there for him, every time he would get sick In middle school I was there because you were always gone working and mom she was always taking late shifts and worrying about you, so I had to take care of him. I know what he needs." Lauren started ranting until she heard a whimper and turned around and saw Andy having a nightmare, she knew exactly what it was about. " Andy listen to me you have people who can help now your not going to kill anyone or anything so what ever that dream is about it's not true. She felt his forehead and it was still burning up probably because every time they tried to give him medicine he just threw it back up, it was now almost midnight and Andy wasn't getting much better, everyone was concerned that he might not make it but he was still fighting and that's all they could ask for. The rest of the week went by in a blur and it wasn't until the second week that Andy was up and around again, Lorna had visited him during the week he was sick and dying, she knew he was getting better and is mind had healed and it managed to take control of his powers again and not going haywire again, when he walked out of the vault many people where happy to see him but the people who were the most excited where his family, the first thing Lauren did was run up and hug him but made sure to be careful as he was still healing physically, his parents were so happy that he pulled though and would be ok, his new found family were also equally happy to see him, Lorna had made him a bracelet with some help from Marcos to remind him it's not how strong you are that makes you a good person it's what you do to help, John snd clarice we're both equally happy and clarice was excited to go on more missions with him but not when it was a higher risk of him almost dying again! Hey guys..... I did it again I wrote a masterpiece ( well I hope in your eyes it is!!) as I said I just re discovered the gifted again😂😂 If you want to watch it , it's on Hulu... which is a streaming service I personally fell in love with it and that's why I wrote 1400 pages... lol Well until I re appear again Susie❤️
