JJ Maybanks ( outer banks)
There are a lot of things that JJ Maybanks is known for like partying, smoking , getting drunk, etc. The one thing he is not known for is getting sick, so when he woke up that morning warning bells were going off in his head as his stomach churned and cramped sending acid up his throat. It didn't take an idiot to know he was sick, He, Pope,Kie, and John B had thrown a party the previous night so he would just blame it on being hung over. When he glanced over he saw that Pope and Kie were already up and that John B was staring to wake up that's when he decided to start the act. "Mornin JB." JJ said noticing that his voice was raspy from his throat hurting. After a beat of silence that JJ would normally be using to talk John B's head off " hey man you feeling ok? Your not as chatty as normal." John asked before JJ ran to the bathroom and threw up everything he'd eaten in the last 24 hours ( which wasn't much) since he'd felt a little off but passed it off as stress. Hearing the commotion Pope and Kie ran into the bathroom where they found JJ slumped against John B covered in sweat from the previous rounds of tossing his cookies. " you guys can stop looking at me like I'm a hurt puppy, I'm just a little hung over and I know you guys want to go surfing so imma sleep this off on the boat." He reassured them, when he glanced up he saw that Pope and Kie had some what bought it but John B didn't cause he had known JJ since the third grade and knew when he was hiding something. Yes it was rare for JJ to get sick and it normally hit him like a bus but if he was saying he was ok then he was ok. After they had gotten ready they stopped by the boat to wake a sleeping JJ up to tell him they were leaving, but when Kie tried and failed to wake him up She also
Pulled her hand back like she had been burnt which was weird cause the sun wasn't shining on the Boat. " GUYS JJ WON'T WAKE UPAND HES BURNING UP!! DID ANYONE CHECK TO SEE IF HE HAD A FEVER AT ALL?" Kie yelled at the same time that JJ had let out a pained whimper indicating that he probably had a raging headache along with what ever he was battling. At that moment John B had run back with a thermometer " ok, ok stick it under his young and wait" he said " I know how to use a thermometer dumbass."
Kie responded with out the usual level of sarcasm as she would use in a totally different situation. When it beeped and they took it out they saw that he had a fever of 104.0 degrees so they picked him up and half Carried half drug him to the car where Pope and Kie were in the front and JJ and John B where in the back. " don't quite in me now buddy, I need you ." John B begged while all he got back was a another whimper from JJ. When he awoke next he realized he wasn't sleeping on the boat where he remembers last. He realized he was in the hospital surrounded by this three best friends. " Hey guys sorry for scaring y'all." JJ said with his signature smirk on his face, " why did you scare us like that? We thought you were dying! By the time we got you here your fever was well over 104!" Kie yelled and almost strangled the dude who had know he was sick since a couple days before. " hey at least my brain didn't become mush like in the movies when they get sick" he joked, when he looked for his friend, no screw that his brother , he couldn't find him. Had his own friend given up on him because he still has trust issues? " if your looking for John B he's down in the cafeteria hopefully getting something to eat after you scared our asses off." Pope replied looking at JJ looking for JB. When JB finally came back he noticed that JJ was up and talking with his friends and as he would say " hitting on the hot nurses". Once they lowered his fever to a much safer range he was free to go home and rest. " hey who's gonna pay for the bill? We're all broke as shit." Pope committed. " you guys have a kook on your Side pouges." Kie said, it took about a week and a half of keeping down water and food for JJ to finally feel like himself. And he was so ready to start partying and surfing again!
