No one could have prepared her for the amount of paparazzi that had been waiting for the young star outside of her New York hotel. Considering that she has been in the limelight since she was only 13, she should be used to this kind of treatment but she wasn't, and she didn't think she'd ever get used to it. So now here she was, surrounded by her bodyguards with camera flashes going off left and right, she can hear questions being yelled out over one another, it's almost too loud. Taking a deep breath she put a big smile on her face for the waiting cameras, Kara Danvers was a superstar after all.

When she was a young girl she knew that she wanted to be a singer, she knew that she wanted to have people hear her voice and hear what she had to say about things. She remembers sitting in her room writing songs about how she did not want to have meatloaf for dinner, and about how she didn't think she should have gotten a B on her science exam in the 4th grade. Kara was always singing and writing, it drove her parents wild but they wouldn't have had it any other way. At the age of 12 Kara entered a local talent show that her small town was hosting and it was there that a talent scout noticed her, she was offered a chance to record a song at GrantRecords. After she began to record the song that she was given she was told that they wanted her to stay with their label and the rest was been history.

A hand grabbing her arm lightly brought her back to reality, she looked over to see her big sister giving her a small smile and a nod silently asking 'Are you okay?' to which Kara nodded back in reassurance. Alex was one of her bodyguards, she was a few years older than Kara and dropped everything to make sure that her sister would always have someone familiar with her, and what better way to do that than become her bodyguard.

Kara turned around to face the cameras once they made it to her car, gave them a wave then ducked down to get into the car. Her manager Kelly, who also happened to be her sister-in-law, was already in the car waiting on her. "So what's the plan? Can we get some food, I am actually starving." Kara asked putting her seat belt on. She heard Alex chuckle a little at the last statement.

"Well you have a interview with Sam Arias, which is where we are headed now. They will have some finger foods in your changing room that you can snack on, after we are done with the interview we will get you some food." Kelly says to her while going through the emails on her phone. "You also have a meeting with Cat Grant, but I think it's to go over the release of your album tonight."

The young star hummed in response, she was beyond ready to have this album released. She had been working on it for the past year and a half trying to perfect every thing she could. This was only her second studio album, her first one being when she was 18. She had been putting out singles that her label had asked her to, but when it came to the albums she was given all creative freedom. The album was her songs, her voice, hers. That's what she liked most, it was her, and her fans would have a chance to listen to her again. Not the singles that had been put out only to be a catchy pop song that was made for the radio, made to please.

When the car slowly came to a stop Kelly and Alex both got out, Kara sliding out the same door that her sister did. They rounded their way around the car, in the back of the building no paparazzi was allowed past the gate that was wrapped around the building. Kara looked up at the sky, taking in a deep breath of the air around them. She hadn't been outside much the past few months, with the writing and recording and promoting she found it hard to make time to actually go outside and enjoy the air, the weather.

Once she was inside the building she was quickly taken to her dressing room 'Kara Danvers' was placed on the door. As soon as she stepped in the room her stylist and a few others were quick to get her camera ready. She held up a finger to her crew as she saw the food that had been lined up on a table, she grabbed a plate and filled it up. Kara sat in her chair, pulled out her phone and was scrolling on Instagram while munching on her goodies when she heard a small knock on her door. Kelly, who was sitting on the couch that was in the room got up to see who was knocking. Kara watched through the mirror watching as Kelly gave a smile and a small laugh to whoever was on the other end of the door. When the door finally opened wide Kara could feel her heart drop to her feet, her phone long forgotten as it falls into her lap. At the door was two people, but Kara eyes hadn't left the woman that was standing there staring back at her.

The woman's smile dropped slightly at the sight of Kara, which did sting a little. It was like the world froze, and all Kara could do was look into those same green eyes that she hadn't seen since she was 18 years old.
