Singer Midoriya Izuku | Culture Festival is replaced by talent show | OOC Midoriya Izuku | Author is a fucking SIMP | Crossovers (MHA/RWBY/Spider-Man/Genshin Impact)

"Talent Show!?" The entire class asked in unison, causing Aizawa to sigh in exasperation.

"Yes." The Underground Hero said tiredly. "Principal Nezu has decided to host a talent show-type event where all departments are to participate in it. This is also to teach two things: ADAPTATION, since live shows can, and sometimes will, have mishaps. It is an important skill, whether out in the field or on the stage. The second is ENTERTAINMENT, because, no matter how you see it, one of the major factors in being a hero is entertainment."

The class murmured, either in excitement or indifference, until Aizawa once again demanded their attention. "Now, this event will NOT be televised like the Sports Festival, so if you want your friends or family to watch, the teachers would be more than willing to give forms for them to sign. It will also be held at the Yuuei Sports Arena, so you're free to get there either on your own or with friends. If you refrain from joining, it's alright; but you're required to write an excuse letter explaining why you couldn't attend. Understood?"

"Yes, Sensei!" The class answered in unison. Some like Mina and Toru were excited, others like Bakugo and Mineta absolutely loathe the idea while the rest like Todoroki and Shoji were indifferent. Izuku, however, already had an idea in mind.

He just needed to have the rodent principal confirm his inquiries.

====================================================

"I see," Principal Nezu had a paw to his chin as he regarded the question of the green-haired boy sitting in front of him. The principal was not surprised that . "You want to have your friends, two of whom are from other schools and one who is a Pro Hero's apprentice, join you in the talent show."

"Yes, sir," Izuku responded.

"Hmm..." The bipedal rat-bear principal considered the notion for a few moments, weighing the pros and cons. "I'll allow it," Principal Nezu said with a smile.

Slowly, Izuku started smiling, before standing up and bowing gratefully. "Thank you, sir!"

The principal merely chuckled as he dismissed the green-haired boy, who wasted no time running out the door. While Izuku ran back to the dorms, he took out an earpiece that he made for himself and his bandmates before enrolling into Yuuei, asking them about joining him in an event.

One of them was more than ecstatic, and already agreed to the idea. The other two also agreed, but they had to get permission from their respective headmasters. Though it wasn't long before he heard them confirm their participation...

"WELCOME, EVERYONE!" Present Mic yelled into his, well, mic as he stood on the stage with Eraserhead. "TODAY IS THE SECOND YEARS TALENT SHOW!! YEAHHHHHH!!!!" The crowd cheered as hard as he did, while Eraserhead turned his off. "Do you always have to be fucking loud?" The hobo-looking hero cursed beside, prompting a sweatdrop from his colleague.

"I'm so excited!" exclaimed Mina as she walked alongside Eijiro to the waiting rooms. "I can't wait to show everyone my dance moves!"

Eijiro pumped his fist in the air as he responded, "I know, right!? I'm going to kill my performance ; people will see how MANLY I am!"

While the rest of Class 1A exictedly talked with each other, Ochako looked around worriedly. "I wonder where Deku is," she said, prompting her friends to look around.

"He might be in one of the waiting rooms. He IS in the last batch of performers, after all," Tenya said, his arm chopping the air.

"I don't know..." Ochako muttered to herself before a hand clasped her shoulder, making her look at Tsuyu.

"Ribbit. Calm down, Ochako. Besides this place has a third of the country's Pro Heroes guarding the arena. He's fine," Tsuyu said, finally getting Ochako to calm down.

"ALRIGHT EVERYONE LET'S TAKE THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD!" Present Mic yelled into his mic once again, making Eraserhead slap the back of the loud Hero's head. The crowd applauds in response, excited to see what's in store for them from all of Yuuei's 2nd Year students.

"Now to welcome our judges..." Eraserhead spoke up, silencing a major portion of the crowd. "First up; the retired Symbol of Peace, All Might." Everyone clapped and cheered as All Might walked to the Judges' Booth, smiling and waving as he did. When he sat down, Present Mic spoke up. "OUR SECOND JUDGE! Y'ALL KNOW HER, AND Y'ALL LOVE HER! IT'S THE BEAUTIFUL MIDNIGHT!" The crowd erupted in cheers and wolf-whistles, while Midnight sashayed her way to the Judges' Booth.

"For our second-to-last judge, we have a special guest, from the Top 10. The Rabbit Hero herself, Miruko." Eraserhead said as the crowd gaped in surprise. Suddenly the skylight opened, and the crowd looked up and cheered as the Hero in question jumped down to the Judges' Booth. "AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, THE PRINCIPAL OF YUUEI!" Present Mic said, as Eraserhead walked off the stage and towards the Judges' Booth, confusing the crowd. Then out of nowhere, Nezu pops out of the scraggly man's capture gear as Eraserhead put the rat down on the last seat before going back on the stage with Mic.

"Hello everyone!" Nezu started with his usually cheery tone. "today we are going to start our Second year's talent show!" He continued, prompting cheers from the crowd.

"So without further ado, let's start the talent show!"

====================================================

The first contestant was Eijiro Kirishima, who decided to perform a traditional Japanese dance, giving him a score of 7.5.

The second contestant was Kyoka Jiro, and her performance had the crowd rocking along to her song, getting a score of 9.8.

The third contestant was Mina Ashido, and her performance had the crowd dancing to the beat with her, giving her a score of 9.3.

The fourth performance was a rap battle between Katsuki Bakugo and Neito Monoma, and they each got scores of 8.2 due to how entertaining (and a little bit cathartic for the students) it was to see them verbally assault each other. Although the scores would've been a little higher if it weren't for the two boys suddenly throwing hands.

The fifth performance was of Ochako singing a Japanese-translated cover of "You Belong With Me", from a Pre-Quirk Era artist named Taylor Swift. Despite almost not getting a few of the high notes, she still got a standing ovation from the crowd, a collective 8.7 from the judges and a 10 from All Might, making the other judges (and the rest of the teachers) chuckle at the hardcore IzuOcha shipper.

As the show went on, Izuku gradually become nervous, pacing around in one of the waiting rooms while his bandmates watched him from their seats. Suddenly one of them, who had brown hair with orange bangs, sighed as he stood up, walking to Izuku and putting a hand on the green-haired boy's shoulder.

"My brother in Christ, calm down. We're gonna kill this shit." He said.

"But what if-" Izuku was cut off, this time by one of the two blondes in the band, whose long hair had been braided and wore exotic clothing. "Izuku. Breathe," he told Izuku, who complied as the other blonde, who had white shoulder pads that were both emblazoned with two golden arcs, came up to the three.

"Bro, I get it. Performing in front of a crowd is always unnerving, but you're Izuku Midoriya. All Might's protégé. The future Symbol of Hope. You got this. WE got this." He reassured Izuku, who flushed at the praise.

"... Yeah. Yeah, we got this!" Izuku said with a grin forming on his face, prompting the others to grin as well.

"There we go," said the one with the brown/orange hair, ruffling Izuku's fluffy green hair.

Just then, the P.A. system blared to life inside their waiting room, giving Izuku the go-ahead to come to the stage. He and his friends shared a grin, with the braided blonde and the brown/orange-haried boy picking up their bass guitar and electric guitar respectively before they all left in stride...

"And now for the last contestant..." Eraserhead began lazily, only for Present Mic to cut in.

"IZUKU MIDORIYA OF CLASS 2A! COME ON OUT TO THE STAGE!" The loud Hero yelled into his mic, prompting Eraserhead to slap the back of his friend's head again.

Expecting a green-haired boy to come out, the crowd watched in confusion as robots showed up instead, carrying speakers, microphones and a drum set. As the robots left, all the lights suddenly went out, making the crowd panic.

But then the crowd's attention was taken by the sound of drumbeats that were immediately followed by electric and bass guitars being played just as the lights slowly turned on again. And this time, the stage is now occupied by four boys with Izuku himself standing in the middle. Two of the boys, one with braided blonde hair and one with ponytailed brown/orange, played both the bass and electric guitars respectively; while the other blonde played the drums. Oddly enough all four of them had mics in front of them.

"OH YEAH! A ROCK NUMBER FROM OUR BOY ALONG WITH THE NEW SPIDER-MAN'S APPRENTICE AND STUDENTS FROM TWO OTHER HERO ACADEMIES AROUND THE GLOBE!" Present Mic screamed to hype up the crowd prompting Eraserhead to slap his head again and the crowd to cheer, with all the 1st Years being the loudest. Well, most of them.

Meanwhile, Eraserhead looked at his tablet. "Aether Celestius from Teyvat High... Jaune Arc from Beacon Academy... and Lucas Mercer, currently an apprentice to Bailey B. Parker, one of the new Spider-Men..."

"THE HELL?! SINCE WHEN CAN DEKU PLAY MUSIC?!" Bakugo screeched, but he was entirely ignored by everyone. Meanwhile, Ochako screamed her heart out seeing her crush rocking out like Kyouka did earlier. As did Midnight and Mirko, and the other female Pro Heroes in the crowd.

But then Izuku started singing.

[Izuku]
Baby, I used to watch your flowers grow
Now it's raining and all your petals turns to stone

"KYAAAH! DEKU!!!" Ochako screamed out, not noticing the trance-like expression Kyoka currently has. She was silent while everyone cheered. She didn't expect her classmate to be this good. She didn't think he would sound... divine.

Suddenly she felt her cheeks heating up, prompting her to shake it off and cheer with the crowd.

[Aether]
I've been praying, I turn around and see my rose
But you faded; you let me down, now it's time to go

"Kyaah! He's so dreamy!" Mina screamed when she heard the braided Blonde sing his part of the verse after Izuku. Far away from her and the rest of the Hero Course, a large group of girls from Teyvat High also cheered for the blonde guitarist, including the female professors.

[Izuku]
That's why I'm long gone, long gone
You need to let me fly alone

[Aether]
That's why I'm long gone, long gone
It may be too late, our time is gone

[Izuku/Aether]
That's why I'm long gone
You need to let me fly alone
That's why I'm long gone, long gone
It may be too late, our time is gone

"GO, DEKU!" Ochako cheered with her classmates (sans Bakugo and Mineta) alongside the women, and a moderately large number of men in the crowd, when both boys sang the chorus.

"Kyaaaaah! AETHER!!" At the same time, the girls from Teyvat High also screamed for the blonde bassist.

[Lucas]
Baby, I think you've got your timing wrong
Now it's hating, exploring this high we're riding on
And it's crazy to think that I could be reborn
If you saved me, but now it's too late and you'll never know

"Darling! I love you!!!" Amidst the crowd's cheers, the girls of Class 2A turned to their left and saw the one who screamed out her declaration: a green-eyed young woman with red hair that turned yellow from the middle. In her arms was a little boy with differently-colored eyes; amber on the left, and green on the right. Both were cheering hard for the singing guitarist.

They weren't alone, though. On their left was Melissa Shield-Parker along with Bailey B. Parker, the new Spider-Man. He wore a blue helmet that had 8 red "eyes", a blue suit with red accents that was baggy around the legs, a red collared cape with a spiderweb motif that reached down to his waist, and red reinforced boots. Melissa giggled while Bailey had his arms crossed as he shook his head, evidently amused by the pair's antics.

[Jaune]
You're like a diamond and I'm like glass
Like oil and water we always clash
Sometimes my confessions are hard for me
I'll tell you now I'm setting you free

"Oh, come on! Even the drummer!?" Mineta seethed as he cried bloody tears. The fact that the drummer started singing after the guitarist riled the crowd up even more. Meanwhile in one of the VIP sections, Beacon Academy's students cheered for the blonde drummer, as well as some of Beacon's teachers that agreed to chaperone them.

Well, most of them were; three of the teams were teasing the Spartan-themed redhead, the cool and mysterious cat-girl, the white-haired heiress of the Schnee Corporation and the photography-inclined bunny-girl. All of whom were currently red-faced from all the teasing.

[Jaune]
That's why I'm long gone, long gone
You need to let me fly alone
[Lucas]
That's why I'm long gone, long gone
It may be too late, our time is gone
[Lucas/Jaune]
That's why I'm long gone
You need to let me fly alone
That's why I'm long gone, long gone
It may be too late, our time is gone

[Izuku]
With broken wings, I can't fly
I'm gonna need you to save me, angel of mine
(Lucas: With broken wings, I can't fly) With broken wings I can't fly
I'm gonna need you to save me, angel of mine
(Aether: With broken wings, I can't fly) With broken wings I can't fly
I'm gonna need you to save me, angel of mine
(Jaune: With broken wings, I can't fly) With broken wings I can't fly
I'm gonna need you to save me, angel of mine

Kyoka couldn't handle it anymore. The vocals, the harmonization of all 4 singers, the instrumentals... It was a bit too much for her that she fainted in bliss, for Toru and Ochako to catch her to keep her from falling to the floor.

[All]
That's why I'm long gone, long gone
You need to let me fly alone
That's why I'm long gone, long gone
It may be too late, our time is gone

[Lucas, Aether, Jaune]
That's why I'm long gone (Izuku: With broken wings, I can't fly)
You need to let me fly alone
That's why I'm long gone, long gone (Izuku: I can't fly)
You need to let me fly alone

[Izuku]
With broken wings, I can't fly

The crowd went quiet, before blindsiding the band with raucous cheers and wolf-whistles. Izuku smiled as Lucas and Jaune raised their arms, before they all bowed to the crowd.

"AND THAT, LADIES AND GENTS, WOULD BE THE LAST OF THE PARTICIPANTS FOR THE SECOND YEARS!" Present Mic declared after he applauded the band alongside the crowd. "Some of the 3rd Years are still preparing their performances, so for now we will have a 20-minute break," Aizawa blandly spoke into his mic.
