As planned, Asgard's princes left as soon as Bruce had checked Loki through once more. He'd confirmed Loki was regaining his health but also made clear that Loki would need much time to recover at home and mustn't be stressed or exhausted in any way. Thor had taken the responsibility on him to make sure Loki would get better soon. On the next morning they left rather early. Thor came at 07:30 to find Loki already awake. The black-haired man was lying in bed, reading a book he'd gotten from Stark.
Thor: "And? Ready to leave?"
Loki: "I guess so. When is our departure?"
Thor: "Soon. We'll eat something, say goodbye to the others and then we're done here."
Loki: "Then - can we please do it quick? I'm rather - exhausted."
Thor couldn't stop a grin.
Thor: "Exhausted of spending time with the others, huh?"
Loki: "That - as well."
Thor: "Fine, I'll hurry. Promise, love."
Thor kept his promise. After half an hour they were finished, standing outside the tower and ready to leave. The other avengers were there as well, to say goodbye to their team mate.
Bruce: "Fine, then - good luck on the way home. And Thor - don't fly to fast! We don't want Loki to get sick, right?"
Loki grinned sarcastically, assuming that most of these people wouldn't care whether he got sick or not.
Thor: "Of course not. I'll be careful as always."
Tony couldn't hide a grin at Thor's words, knowing that "careful" was a word which didn't match the thunderer to well. He shortly hugged Thor before glancing to Loki, who was standing beside him and pating his back.
Stark: "Take care, you two. And remember, if anything happens - my door's always open for you. - As long as you don't bring to much trouble with you."
Thor laughed, remembering his promise and quickly saying farewell to the others. Most of them kept their distance to Loki. Only Bruce came over shortly, extending his hand to his former patient.
Bruce: "Goodbye, Loki. Don't overchallenge yourself in the next weeks. And let Thor take care of you a little, alriht?"
Loki: "He'd do it even if I resisted. So I don't have a choice anyway."
Bruce: "If you again feel like panicking, try and take a cold shower. It'll help to clear your head a little and you'll feel better afterwards. I guess that's all I can suggest."
Then Thor came over and gently took Loki's hand.
Thor: "Ready, dear?"
Loki: "I guess it won't get better so - yes, I am."
The god of thunder put off his cape, wrapping it around Loki's shoulders to keep him warm.
Thor: "Comfortable like this?"
Loki nodded, pulling the fabric closer to his body. Thor cautiously lifted him into his arms, holding him tightly with one arm, then calling Mjölnir with the other. The avengers waved them goodbye as Thor started flying, heading directly back home, with loki savely in his arms.

As they came home, Loki had fallen asleep, wrapped securely and warm in Thor's arms. Thor didn't wake him, lying him down on the bed and softly covering him with the blanket. As it had turned rather cold in the mean time, Thor turned on the heating, bringing another blanket so Loki wouldn't freeze. Thor knew he had to buy food from the money he'd gotten at his last fight, but Loki was still asleep and he didn't want him to be alone without even knowing where he was. So he sat down next to him, taking a look at Loki's books. When Loki woke up after one hour, he looked around confused until his gaze met Thor.
Loki: "W - Where - ?"
Thor: "At home, Loki. We're finally back at home."
Loki relaxed immediately, turning onto his side to look at Thor.
Thor: "Loki? About our - argument … please forgive me. I didn't want to hurt you. The next time I will put your needs above everything else, I swear."
Loki: "Forget it, I was foolish. I couldn't think clearly, of course you had to go to work. Did you at least get the money?"
A smile spreaded over Thor's features.
Thor: "Yes I did."
Loki: "So - will you work again tomorrow?"
Thor: "Not for the next few weeks! I won't leave you alone again and Banner said, you'd need help during the next time. My job for now is to make sure you've got everything you need and are comfortable. For three or four weeks we've got enough money anyway."
Loki started smiling slightly, obviously liking the fact, Thor was going to stay with him.
Thor: "But at first I'll have to go and get us some food. I didn't yet come to use the money. Are you - Loki, are you alright?"
By the blonde man's words Loki's skin had gone totally pale and when Thor noticed, he was shaking slightly.
Loki: "Wh - what if anything happens again? Last time you weren't here … don't leave me, Thor! Please don't leave! I - I don't wanna be alone!"
Thor sighed deeply. He nearly had started the same argument again before realising Loki was actually right. They couldn't be sure nothing happened as long as no one was around and especially now, when Loki wasn't at full strength anyway, he didn't dare to risk it.
Thor: "Yeah but - aren't you hungry? We've got nothing left to eat."
Loki: "Y-yes but - stay with me! Please!"
Thor: "Loki, - I'll be back in less than half of an hour. If you need anything or something happens, you can always call me or send me an illusion. I'd fly back to you immediately and be back in not a minute. Nothing can happen. I'll lock you in and keep the key with me if you want. Alright?"
Loki looked troubled, his eyes focused only on Thor.
Thor: "Yes, o-okay. Then leave. I'll be alright."
Thor: "Good, then - I won't need long, I swear."
The prince bowed down, kissing Loki passionately, who hugged him right away, drawing the defined lines of his muscles with his fingers.
Thor: "Everything's gonna be fine, Loki. Don't worry."
Then he got up, grabbed a paper bag and turned to leave. as he looked back once more, Loki cuddled into his cape, inahling its smell. Thor couldn't help but smile at the sight.
Thor: "See you soon, love. Try to rest, hmh?"
Loki: "Mhm, I'll try. - G-goodbye."
