UA Entrance Exams

Age 18.

Bakugou was getting ready for the UA entrance exam. The exams were a day long, starting at 8 am with the written part which was almost 4 hours long and included anything and everything from basic high school level science, maths, English, social science and Japanese. Aside from these topics, Quirk Laws, General Knowledge, Aptitude, Current Affairs and Behavioural studies were also occasionally tested in the exams.

After the four-hour exam, applicants for the hero course are asked to stay back and are given a break so they can rest up after which they are debriefed about the practical portion and given 15 minutes to warm up.

Bakugou knew that both his exams would go by pretty easily. He was top of his class in his High School after all. Sure he might have not been all that popular since 'the incident' but he had since understood that popularity wasn't all that life had to offer, hell, he even had a girlfriend who actually loved him for being himself and not for being the strongest or whatever.

Bakugou currently standing at the entrance of UA, looking at the massive statue of All Might that was erected as a thank-you to the hero by the School. It also served as a surveillance point for the UA hills, giving any hero a clear view of the whole area.

Bakugou stood at the entrance of UA, looking at the massive building in front of him. 'I really wish I could take back what I've said to you back then Deku. I promise I'll be a hero that you'd be proud of.' He thinks to himself as he starts to walk to the massive door meant for the examinees when he accidentally bumped into a small group walking ahead of him.

Newton's third law was apparently a bitch because he fell on his ass.

"You okay man?" A boy with yellow hair, wearing a black leather jacket asks, offering Bakugou a hand. Bakugou makes note of the others in the group, a boy with a bird head that wore a hoodie that had some sort of logo on its back, a girl with brown hair that came down to her shoulder and a boy with dark green hair and a metallic black mask on his face and a jacket with the same logo, he also sported hair that fell to his shoulder.

"Yeah. Sorry about that I wasn't looking where I was going." Bakugou apologises taking the blonde's hand.

"It's alright, man! It's a big day for all of us." He says with a smile. "I'm Kaminari Denki. Nice to meet you!"

[Ignore the electricity around him

"Bakugou Katsuki. Nice to meet you too." Bakugou greets.

"Kaminari, we're not here to make friends. We have our work handed to us. Let's go." A boy with the mask tells the loud blonde.

" A boy with the mask tells the loud blonde

[Shittily cropped but you get the point. Long hair, lots of eye liner and a few visible scars that appear over the mask]

"I know. I know. But I won't hurt to make some acquaintances right?" Kaminari says. "You know what we're always told."

"Don't make me repeat myself Denki." The boy says sternly. "We have our work cut out for us, let's go."

"UGH!!!! Alright, looks like I've got to go. Good luck in the exam Bakugou!" Kaminari says walking away. "If you make it to UA, let's be friends!"

Bakugou stood in the same place, staring at the boy with the mask. He felt a very familiar aura from the long-haired boy, but no one he knew had that type of hair, at least not from recent memory. Shaking his head, Bakugou walked to the door as the staff makes the last call for applicants to enter before they closed the doors.

"Please enter your roll number in the consoles provided." A continuous announcement kept rolling in the auditorium.

Walking down to a small console, Bakugou entered his assigned roll number and looked up his examination room. Noting it down from the console, he clears his role number allowing others to look their numbers up.

Bakugou looks at the room number he was assigned and makes his way to the second floor and down to the hall to Room 3. Entering the room, Bakugou sees the group he bumped into earlier, with an eager Kaminari waving at him.

Bakugou simply nods his head and looks at the seating arrangement on the board and takes his seat on the first bench of the third row, which just happened to be next to the brown-haired girl from the group.

Bakugou simply nods his head and looks at the seating arrangement on the board and takes his seat on the first bench of the third row, which just happened to be next to the brown-haired girl from the group

"All the best for the exam." He tells her.

"Same to you, Bakugou." She responds. "I'm Uraraka Ochako, by the way. I wasn't able to introduce myself earlier."

Bakugou gives a small smile. "I take it that you're all close friends?" He asks her.

"Something like that." The girl answers.

Before Bakugou could ask any more questions, a teacher walked in. "Alright everyone, please stop talking." He tells them. "My name is Kamihara Shinya, you might know me better as the Pro Hero EdgeShot, I'm a guest lecturer at UA. I'll be proctoring your exam today."

"There are 5 codes for the paper. I'll be personally handing you your papers so please have some patience, also keep your school ID cards and UA hall tickets at hand for verification." He explains. "The papers are sealed, you can only open it once I give you to sign to open it. You have 15 minutes to read it and then you can start answering it."

"There are 180 questions. Questions 1 to 100 are Multiple choice, questions 101 to 150 are short answers, please limit your answers to the space provided. Questions 151 to 155 will need you to give answers longer than 500 words, so feel free to ask for supplementary sheets. Finally, for questions 156 to 180, there might be more than one answer so you can tick multiple options for them. All the best for the exam." After explaining the instructions, Edgeshot starts to hand everyone the papers while also checking their ID cards and Hall tickets.

4 hours later, everyone had handed in their papers and those who had their practical exams were waiting in an auditorium. Bakugou made his way to an empty seat, trying to get some quiet in the moderately loud auditorium. He really needed to focus and the acoustics of the auditorium were not helping at all.

"Yo! Bakugou!!!!" An excited Kaminari greets him as he literally pulls the rest of his group to where Bakugou was sitting.

"Denki, last warning. Don't get friendly with," The boy with the mask looks at Bakugou. "No offence to you, but random people you've just met."

"None taken." Bakugou responds with a small smirk. "I can see you're pretty on the ropes with people you don't know."

"Ignore spoilsport over here, mind if we sit here?" Denki asks.

"Do whatever you want, just don't disturb me." Bakugou says, pulling out his phone to check for messages, he saw one from his mother and one from his girlfriend.

"Fumi, stay with the idiot." The boy with the mask tells the bird-headed guy. "I'm sitting over there." He says, pointing to an empty seat in the corner of the room. Kaminari nods as he takes his seat next to Bakugou.

"I'll keep him company

"I'll keep him company." Uraraka says, running up to catch up to the boy.

"What's his deal?" Bakugou asks.

"Uhm lets see.. He's too serious all the time and is very mi- target-oriented, like to the extreme. And arguably the strongest and smartest of all of us." Kaminari says.

"Huh." Katsuki mutters, currently texting his girlfriend about his paper. "What's his name? I know yours and that Round-faced girl's, Uraraka something right?."

"Oh, well. Mr. Bird head here is Fumikage Tokoyami! He's our birb and the emo of the group. And that was Izuku," Katsuki's eyes widened at the name, though he quickly calmed himself. "He's like our leader in a manner of speaking, he organises us, makes sure we're ready for everything and also drives us around since he's the oldest of us. And on the other side of the spectrum as Izuku is Ochako. She's the life of the group and can be airheaded at times." Kaminari answers, continuing to talk. Stopping only when all chatter around him had stopped. "But she has her limits I guess. And she is scary when she is pushed to them."

"ALRIGHT!!!!! Welcome to UA's Practical Entrance Exam!!!!!" A loud voice says as a blond comes into view. "I'm your host, your beloved DJ and neighbourhood Pro, Present Mic!!!!!!!!!!"

"I'm your host, your beloved DJ and neighbourhood Pro, Present Mic!!!!!!!!!!"

A few cheers could be heard from fans of the hero.

"Alright, nice to know I have some fans!" Mic exclaims. "Now the practical exams are divided into 2 parts. The first one is a Free For All or FFA battle against robots." Mic presses a button, the screen behind him showing 4 silhouettes.

"The FFA has 3 main types of robots you will encounter. The first ones are the 1 pointers. They will give you 1 point. The second type of robot is the 2 pointers. They will get you 2 points and finally, you have the 3 pointers that will fetch you, well, 3 points. You can go about gaining points is by either immobilizing the robots by partial or complete destruction or by any other means. That is up to you as long as the robots are no longer functioning, you get the points." Mic pauses, noticing an examinee with their hand raised.

"Do you have a question?" Mic asks the examinee.

"Yes sir. The slides behind you show 4 robots but you've only explained 3 of them and have completed the explanation of the points system." He points out rather loudly. "And you in the long hair back there. You haven't been paying attention to the presentation at all! If you're not interested in listening I suggest you leave! The same goes for the brown-haired girl next to you. She's been on her phone this entire time!!!" He says, almost scolding the pair.

Izuku simply rolls his eyes and sighs, irking the boy.

"And you're ignoring me now! This is truly unbecoming of a UA hero course applicant!" The boy exclaims only to be ignored again.

Before the situation could escalate further, Mic intervenes. "Thank you for that question young listener, but you don't have to attack another examinee like that, everyone has a different way of mentally preparing for this exam so while on the outside he could look disinterested, he might be thinking up strategies for the exam, similarly, the female candidate sitting next to him also seems to be studying something on her phone." Mic explains.

"R-Right. Sorry for assuming!" The boy bows before taking a seat.

"No issues, but you did ask a question and here's the answer. The fourth robot is as the examinee with long hair mentioned, a 0 pointer. It's like a slime villain in RPG games. Not really something you should pay attention to, that's the reason we usually only include it in the leaflets that are given to you at the entrance.

Mic takes a sip of water from a bottle kept on a stool. "Now moving on to the second part of the exam. The second part is a quirk analysis test where you will have to display your quirk to a panel of judges within a minute. But this will only be for certain examinees. As you know not all of you have quirks that are strictly offensive so this is a provision for those applicants. However, you can also be called if the panel of judges overseeing the exam wish to see more of your quirk in action."

"Now I'm sure you've all seen the hall tickets we gave you. Now if you look at the lower half of the hall ticket, you'll notice a four-digit number that is preceded by an alphabet on there. The four-digit number is for the bus that you'll be boarding. This bus will take you to the specific testing grounds for the practical exam." Mic explains as everyone looks at their hall tickets. "I'll leave you all, for now, please keep your ears open for announcements. Thank you, all the best and remember to GO BEYOND!"

"PLUS ULTRA!!!" The students respond.

Izuku quickly makes his way to Denki and Fumikage, with Ochako following the boy.

"Sitrep." Izuku says, looking at Denki.

"Bus number 8966, ground B." Denki answers.

"Bus 8970, also ground B." Fumikage responds.

"Bus 5566, ground A." Ochako says with a knowing smile.

"Good. I'm in ground A as well, bus number 5555." Izuku answers.

"What about you Bakugou? Which ground are you in?" Denki asks the ash-blonde who was staring at Izuku in confusion.

"Huh- Oh I'm in ground B, Bus 8966 I think." He answers.

"Aye! We're on the same grounds and the same bus!" Denki says as he puts his arm around Bakugou and walks away from the group.

"Fumi look after that idiot." Izuku says. "He's being too friendly with that Bakugou for some reason."

Fumikage nods as he leaves as well.

"What's gotten you all wound up Izuku?" Ochako asks, grabbing the boys hand.

"It's nothing." Izuku shrugs walking to where the rest of his bus mates were.

"C'mon Izu. I know you too well even after that. So tell me what happened." Ochako eggs him.

"Ask me that one more time and you're sleeping alone in the girl's quarters for the rest of the week." Izuku threatens.

"That bad huh. Okay, I'll stop for now. But you know you can talk to us right?" Ochako tells him with a determined smile as she parts to board her bus.
