Two weeks after their breakup, Y/N and Wade met up again to return each other's belongings. They decided to meet up at a park. When they first texted they both decided any gifts given by the other wouldn't be returned.

Y/N arrived first then Wade parked beside her minutes later.

"Hi," Y/N said, greeting her ex-boyfriend once he got out of his car. "Hey Y/N it's good to see you," Wade replied with a smile. "Okay, so I put all of your things in two different boxes. I put your clothes in one and your other belongings in the other." Y/N told Wade as she walked to the back of her car and opened the trunk since that's where the boxes were. Y/N stated, "You can look through everything. Make sure it's all there." Y/N added.

Wade nodded and went to his car. As Wade went through his stuff, Y/N scrolled through her phone. Y/N didn't notice that Wade had placed one of his hoodies in the box bottom so Y/N could have it.

"Everything is there. "Here's your stuff." Wade handed Y/N a box with her belongings inside. Y/N went through her stuff and then put the box in the trunk.

"So do you maybe want to get some smoothies or something?" Wade asked nervously. "Sure why not, I don't have any plans. Where do you want to go?" Y/N asked. "How about Smoothie King?" Wade suggested. "Sure. I'll follow you." Y/N told him as she got into her car.

Thankfully the place wasn't too far. After ordering their smoothies they sat outside at one of the tables. They talked for a while and thankfully, it wasn't awkward at all.

"When do you leave for Canada?" Y/N asked. "3 weeks," Wade responded. "Do you wanna hang out before you leave?" Y/N asked hesitantly. "Sure," Wade replied with a smile.

2 and a half weeks later

Y/N and Wade were meeting up today for the last time. They had decided to go to coney island for the day.

They first went swimming, then to the amusement park. Afterwards, they ate dinner at a Mexican restaurant. "I love this song!" Wade said as they ate. "Come on we have to dance," Wade said standing up. "Alright fine," Y/N said, giving in. Wade dragged Y/N to the middle of the restaurant where they had some space so you could dance.

Wade bowed and extended his hand so Y/N could grab it. Y/N rolled her eyes fondly and grabbed his hand. Even though Y/N had never been one for dancing, she loved dancing with Wade.

Wade arrived at Y/N's house at 10:58 pm. The lights were mostly turned off.

"I had a lot of fun today Wade," Y/N said looking at her ex-boyfriend with a smile. "I did too Y/N. Hanging out with you is always fun." Wade said looking at Y/N. "Do you want me to help you put your stuff inside?" Wade asked, clearing his throat. "Sure," Y/N replied and got out of the car.

Y/N picked up as much as she could with one hand since she needed the other to open the door. Both of them walked to the door quietly and walked in as quietly as they could in case one of Y/N's siblings or her dads were sleeping.

Y/N opened the door to the bedroom and switched the light on.

"You've started packing," Wade commented looking at the boxes in the corner of Y/N's room. "Yeah. I decided to be productive and start packing earlier so I don't freak out at the last minute." Y/N told Wade closing her bedroom door.

"When do you leave for California?" Wade asked, sitting down on Y/N's desk chair. "August 14th," Y/N responded. Then it got quiet.

"I don't want to leave you," Wade said quietly. Y/N opened her mouth to respond but Wade shushed her. "But I have to and... and I know me leaving will be the best thing for you. Even if you don't see it right now you'll realize it in the future." Wade said softly.

"Wade..." Y/N said, shocked at Wade's raw honesty. "You're lucky I'm patient because I'm okay with waiting for you. As long as you want me I'll be here. Even if it takes ten years." Y/N told Wade. "I can't ask you to wait for me," Wade argued.

"You're not asking me anything, I'm willing to do this for you. How am I supposed to fall in love with anyone else when I've found you, Wade? You're the one for me, Wade Wilson." Y/N said, kissing Wade's forehead.

"I love you Y/N," Wade said, wrapping his arms around Y/N's waist and pulling her into a hug. "I love you too Wade," Y/N said, tucking her face into the crook of Wade's neck.

Neither one of them wanted to let go of the other but they had to.

"It's getting late I should get going," Wade whispered sniffling. Y/N only nodded and pulled away.

The two walked outside quietly.

"I'm really going to miss you, Wade," Y/N said once they reached Wade's car. "I'm gonna miss you too Y/N," Wade said looking at Y/N. "Can... Can I kiss you?" Wade asked and Y/N didn't even reply; she just leaned up and kissed Wade.

They broke apart minutes later both panting.

"I'm gonna go before your dad kills me," Wade said, making Y/N let out a wet laugh. "Don't die on me, soldier," Y/N said, kissing him quickly. "I promise I won't. I love you." Wade said, opening his car door. "Love you too Wade," Y/N said as he got into his car.

Wade looked at Y/N one more time then drove off into the night.
