Over the next couple of weeks leading up to her departure, Y/N spent time with her family before she had to leave for California.
The week before she was leaving Y/N could tell her siblings were driving her Dads crazy and suggested that they go out for a whole day by themselves and Y/N would watch her siblings for them.
"We can't ask you to do that Y/N," Steve said firmly. "It's not asking if I'm offering," Y/N said stubbornly. "Come on Pops you guys need a break. Dad already agreed." Y/N told him. "I'll go talk to your Dad," Steve said and Y/N smiled triumphantly.
"This does not mean yes," Pops said walking away but Y/N knew better because 10 minutes later Pops agreed.
The next day her fathers left early in the morning but not without giving her many instructions.
"Dad, Pops I promise we'll be fine," Y/N said, pushing them out of the door. "Okay okay, we're leaving," Pops said laughing. "Stay safe. We love you." Dad said as Pops pulled out of the driveway waving at Y/N.
Y/N walked back inside after that.
"Okay, Dad and Pops are gone. Do you guys have any plans for today?" Y/N asked her siblings who were all eating breakfast.
"I'm going to the movies with Ned at 3:00 pm. Dad was supposed to drop us but can you drop us?" Peter asked. "Yeah sure. Harley, do you have any plans with friends?" Y/N asked her brother. "Nah you're stuck with me all day," Harley said, shoving pancakes in his mouth making the two younger girls giggle.
"What about you munchkins? What do you want to do today?" Y/N asked Morgan and Sarah. "I wanna go swimming," Sarah told her. "Me too!" Morgan exclaimed, agreeing with her older sister. "Okay, we'll go swimming. You guys gotta finish your food fast though because we still have to wait an hour before you can swim." Y/N told them and the two girls happily nodded and started eating their food fast.
After Y/N finished her food she went outside and made sure that everything was good with the pool then started putting the floaties in it and got all of the pool toys out. Then she checked on her siblings and helped the two girls pick out what bathing suit they wanted to wear today then chose her own.
Peter and Harley also decided to join them outside.
"Y/N can you braid my hair?" Morgan asked. "Of course, I will. Go sit on the couch, I'll be right back." Y/N told her little sister. She quickly went to her room and got a hairbrush and a couple of hairbands.
She came downstairs and started brushing Morgan's hair. "What kind of braid do you want me to make?" Y/N asked. "Can you make one like Auntie Nats?" Morgan asked, "Sure. Sit still." Y/N told her and started braiding a dutch braid.
10 minutes later she was finished. "My turn!" Sarah yelled, jumping into Y/N's lap. "Oof. Okay, your turn it is." Y/N said laughing. Y/N started brushing Sarah's hair and asked what kind of braid she wanted but Sarah let her decide.
Y/N braided two dutch braids for Sarah and by the time she was done, they could go to the pool.
Peter and Harley cannonballed into the pool while the girls jumped in the shallow side.
Y/N sat on the steps of the pool and splashed her feet around a little. She watched her siblings play in the water with a smile. Y/N realized she wouldn't have moments like this with them as much anymore.
She would only be able to come home on holidays. Why did she have to grow up?
Y/N was stuck in her thoughts until someone splashed her with water. "What the fu-fudge!" Y/N yelled, catching herself before she could swear. She looked up and saw that all of her siblings were laughing and that Peter had a smirk on his face.
"You're going down Peter," Y/N said menacingly, tying her hair into a ponytail and walking into the water. She swam over to Peter as the 14-year-old started swimming away from her giggling.
Y/N watched as he came up for water and then splashed him in the face continuously for a couple of seconds.
"Okay okay that's enough Y/N," Peter said, wiping the water off of his face. But Y/N snuck up behind him and put him in a fake chokehold. "Say you're sorry kiddo," Y/N said. "I'm sorry," Peter said gloomily. Y/N let go of her brother but not without ruffling his hair.
They continued to play in the pool until 2:00 pm.
Peter, Harley, and Sarah all went to take separate showers while Y/N went to her parent's bathroom and gave Morgan a quick shower since she was too young to shower herself.
Peter and Harley both changed into T-shirts and shorts while the two girls decided to wear dresses.
Before Y/N took a shower of her own she ordered pizza and chose her clothes.
Y/N chose to wear a cherry red crop top with light blue ripped jeans. After showering she dried her hair as much as she could and then braided her into a double dutch braid. She grabbed her red sunglasses and put on her converse then ran downstairs.
"Harley, you're in charge. Girls, finish your pizza. I'll be back soon. Peter lets go." Y/N said, grabbing the car keys.
Peter quickly put his shoes on and then ran behind Y/N and quickly sat in the passenger seat.
"Do we need to pick Ned up too?" Y/N asked starting the car. "Nope. But I think we might need to drop him back home if it's okay with you?" Peter asked, putting his seatbelt on. "Yeah, it's fine. Do you need money?" Y/N asked pulling out of the driveway.
"Nah it's fine I have my wallet," Peter replied. "Are there going to be any girls?" Y/N asked, wiggling her eyebrows. "No Y/N just me and Ned," Peter said with a slight blush. "Just teasing Pete," Y/N said laughing at his reaction.
The two fell into a comfortable silence after that.
"Call me when the movie is finished. Also, take an extra $10 for the arcade." Y/N said, handing her brother the bill. "Thanks, Y/N. Love you." Peter said, kissing his older sister's cheek. "Love you too Pete. Have fun." Y/N called out as he closed the door.
Over the next 2 and a half hours, the 4 siblings at home did their own things in the living room. Y/N occasionally watched her siblings and then went back on her phone. Harley was playing video games with his friends, Sarah was drawing and Morgan was playing with her dolls.
When Peter texted her she told Harley that it might take longer because she might need to drop Ned off so he should take a break. Harley agreed and took off his headphones and sat on the couch and started texting his friends. Y/N rolled her eyes but left to get her brother and his best friend.
Y/N parked by the curb and waited for Ned and Peter. The two boys walked towards the car talking about the movie with smiles on their faces and cotton candy and stuffed animals in their hands.
"Hey boys, enjoy the movie?" Y/N asked as they sat down. The two instantly started rattling on about how good the movie was as Y/N started driving toward Ned's house. Y/N listened happily.
"Thank you for dropping me off Y/N," Ned said as they pulled up to his house. "You're welcome, Ned. Hope you had fun." Y/N said. The two boys did their handshake as Ned left.
Once they got back home everyone did their own separate things. Y/N went to her room but kept the door open just in case.
She was laying in bed when she got a call from her Dad.
"Hi, Dad," Y/N said, answering facetime. "Hey, sweetheart. How's everything going?" Tony asked. "Good. I just picked Pete up from the movies. Everybodys just doing their own things. How are you and Pops?" Y/N asked.
"Well..." Dad said flipping the camera to show her Pops was sleeping. "You can see that he's enjoying his time sleeping," Tony said, poking his husband and laughing when he snored and cuddled closer to him.
"Thank you for suggesting this Y/N. We both needed it." Tony said with a grateful smile. "You don't need to thank me. It's the least I can do for you both." Y/N replied with a smile. "Is that Y/N?" Steve mumbled sleepily.
"Hi, Pops," Y/N said, yawning. "Hey, sweetheart. Thank you for watching your siblings today." He mumbled. "Come on, you guys don't need to say thank you," Y/N said. "Yes, we do," Tony said and Y/N rolled her eyes.
"Fine whatever," Y/N said.
"We'll be back after dinner Y/N just so you know," Tony told her. "Okay, I think we're going to go out for dinner," Y/N told them. "That's great. We're glad you're all having fun. We gotta go now though." Dad said. "Okay bye. Love you." Y/N said. "Love you too sweetheart." They both said and hung up.
Y/N laid in bed until 7:00 pm then went downstairs and got her siblings rounded up for dinner.
"Are we all in agreement about Burger king then ice cream?" Y/N asked and she got a string of agreements. "Okay get ready and go to the bathroom we're leaving in 10 minutes," Y/N said and her siblings all went to their rooms to get ready.
Everybody piled into the car. Y/N was obviously driving. Harley sat beside her and Peter, Sarah, and Morgan sat in the back.
"Is everybody buckled in?" Y/N asked and started driving after she got the confirmation that they were.
Y/N drove to the closest Burger King that they went to frequently. After everybody was situated and sat down Y/N gave them all menus.
Sarah and Morgan ordered a cheeseburger king junior, Harley ordered a bacon double cheeseburger, Peter ordered a normal cheeseburger with fries and Y/N ordered a double cheeseburger.
They all talked until their food came. After finishing their food Y/N let them all order dessert.
Sarah ordered 2 chocolate chip cookies, Morgan ordered a soft-serve cup, Peter ordered a Hershey sundae pie, Harley ordered a chocolate oreo cookie shake and Y/N ordered a normal Oreo cookie shake.
By the time they finished eating everything it was 9:30 and they were all dead tired.
Y/N drove home quickly and told them all to get into their Pjs.
Just as Y/N was going upstairs her Dads came home.
"Guys Dad and Pops are back!" Y/N yelled after greeting her fathers. Her siblings all came running downstairs and the two younger ones jumped into their arms.
They all spent time downstairs and dispersed after a while.
Y/N went to her room and changed into her PJs which consisted of sleeping shorts and an oversized t-shirt.
"Y/N morgans asking for you to tuck her in," Dad said, peeking his head through her door since it was open. "I'll be there in a sec," Y/N told him.
"Hey Maguna what's up?" Y/N asked, sitting down beside her bed. "Tell me a story," Morgan said looking up at her older sister.
"Okay uh, once upon a time there was a group of superheroes called the Avengers..." Y/N started telling her the story and stopped when she noticed that Morgan had fallen asleep.
Her little hand was wrapped around Y/N's finger and her eyelids fluttered because she was probably dreaming.
It was so quiet in her house.
Y/N tucked her in and turned her nightlight on. She kissed Morgan's forehead and quietly closed the door then walked to her room.
Today was the most fun she had had in a while.
As Y/N went to bed she hoped none of this would change in the years to come.
