Note
This is a small story that I wrote way too quickly at 2 am in the morning. English is not my first language, so I hope there are not too many mistakes :)My love for Torres came back after rewatching tfatws and I was sad that there are barely story´s featuring him. So I wanted to write my own.I hope you like it :)

Capybara

Being in a Team with such a big age difference was a weird thing sometimes. Not that Torres generally minded working with Sam and Bucky. At least most of the time.
Sure, It was annoying sometimes to be called kid all the time. Or to suddenly have two overprotective adults always close to him. But except for some minor inconveniences and awkward situations, it had always been fine.

Like that one time when they had gone out to a bar after a successful mission. And Joaquin had gotten himself drunk. At some point, starting to flirt with a pretty girl at the bar. Just to be interrupted by Captain America and his Supersoldier Boyfriend, telling him that they had to go back to the Hotel now. Not accepting his offer that he could just walk himself back alone, reminding him of the high kidnapping quota the area had.
Completely ignoring the fact that Torres was a very capable 25-year-old and a highly trained first lieutenant.

But yeah. Otherwise, it was great. He'd always wanted to have an older brother. And now he had two of them. Even if it came with the overprotectiveness, the teasing and them trying to always push him to be better.
But in return, Torres also had the chance to teach the two superheroes some stuff. Like how to use TikTok. Which apparently Bucky liked more than Sam.

“You. Are. In. Trouble.” Sam was stabbing his index finger into Torres chest, wearing a disappointed facial expression. They had a training session scheduled, and Torres was pretty sure that they were already running late.
“What did I do?” Torres looked up, trying to find a clue in Sam's facial features.
“You know it…”
“I don't?”
For a moment, the two just stared at each other. Sam, still jabbing his finger into Torres chest.

“Capybara.”
“Bless you.”
“Bucky keeps singing this goddamn song. It's driving me insane.” Sam whined, throwing up his arms in an almost comedic way.
Torres couldn't really help himself from bursting out into laughter.
“So, you're telling me that Bucky Barnes. Former assassin and Supersoldier…is on Capybara TikTok?”
“Do I look like I'm joking?”

This time, Torres doubled over from laughter. Holding his stomach and wiping away an imaginary tear. He patted Sam on the shoulder while maneuvering his body around the new Captain America.
“Thank you, Sam… That really made my day.” He still chuckled, while making his way to the training compound. Sam hurried behind him.

“Torres, please. Can't you just change his little TikTok page? If I have to listen to this song again, I will divorce this man.”
Torres knew that this would never happen. Those two were so disgustingly in love with each other that they had decided to make it everyone else’s problem.

“Sam come on Man... I can't just change his For you page. It's an algorithm. He's seeing so many videos of Capybaras because those are the ones, he interacts with the most.”
He felt like he was explaining the internet to his mum. It was funny to see how different Bucky and Sam were reacting to the internet culture Torres kept showing them.

Sam was like his mama or some of his tios and tias. Technically, he knew how to work his way around the internet. But he didn't really find any joy in it. Besides taking photos of almost everything like a dad. He would laugh at funny videos Torres would show him, but despite having an Instagram and TikTok account, his internet presence was lacking for a superhero. Twitter being the only media where he would sometimes repost tweets about political issues.

Bucky, to Torres surprise, proved himself to be very invested. Torres had made the ex-Assassin an anonymous account on TikTok. So he could interact with the videos as much as he wanted to, without anyone questioning why Captain America's Husband would like and save a bunch of Danish politicians shipping videos. Bucky was almost more up-to-date with current trends than he was. Which was a lot, mentioning the fact that Torres had been chronically online since he was sixteen. He would send him memes and use stickers in their text messages.

And now he seemed to be on Capybara TikTok. Much to Torres delight.
