Season 1 Episode 7 - Answer = New questions.
A week later:
Colson returned from an emergency shield meeting called by Nick Furey.
So, what was discussed? Ward asked.
A military base in Afghanistan, turns out there are Demons roaming around. Colson answered.
Then what's the plan? Sam asked.
We need three men, two for combat, one for hacking. Colson answered.
All right, I'll go, there's nothing to do anyway. Said Dean.
I'll go with you. Said Ward.
I think I can help with the break-in. Said Fitz.
Great, they'll take you there, the rest of you have the day off. Said Colson, and then he left the room.
Okay, I got a question, did either of you two serve? Dean asked.
Yeah. Ward answered.
Great, so it'll be less dangerous. Said Dean, after which all three of them left the hall and headed for the car.
Fifteen hours later, they were in Afghanistan.
So, we're in military territory, all alone, long odds. Dean said ironically.
I agree. Said Ward.
We're fucked, guys. Said Fitz.
I agree. Said Dean.
They walked about a few kilometers until they got to the military base.
So, how do we get in without being seen? Fitz asked.
Sewers. Ward answered, and then they went through the underground entrance.
So, the question is, what's our goal anyway? Ward asked.
We got to get into the base, get the paperwork. Ward answered.
And the papers are... Dean started talking.
It's on a flash drive. Ward answered.
That's why I brought the laptop, so I could hack it and not take any chances. Said Fitz.
Okay, who's up? Ward asked.
Let's play rock-paper-scissors. Suggested Dean, Ward and Dean started to cast, Ward put the well, Dean put the scissors.
Shit. Said Dean.
Next time, don't go with the first scissors principle. Said Ward.
Whatever you say. Said Dean, then crawled back to base.
Walking on stealth, because killing wasn't an option or they'd burn him, Dean climbed into the main building.
After about seven minutes of wandering around the base, he managed to find the flash drive.
So, popping the question, was it a flash drive? Dean asked himself a question, then quietly took off as well, after which he went down into the sewers.
Did you get it? Asked Ward.
Yeah, I got it. Dean answered, then handed the flash drive to Fitz.
Okay, I need about 20 minutes," Fitz said.
Okay, let's sit tight. Said Ward.
20 minutes later:
I cracked it. Said Fitz.
And what's on them? Asked Ward.
Bullshit, bullshit, bullshit... Started talking, Fitz gradually flipped through his laptop.
Oh, shit. Said Fitz.
What's up? Asked Ward.
There's a file on three of the men on the team. Fitz answered.
Who? Ward asked.
Barry, Skye, and Sam. Fitz answered.
Okay, let's take it from here. Said Dean.
Yeah, I'd like to, but there's just a dossier, a list of weapons they use, skills, and then lee. Said Fitz.
Okay, that's creepy, that's really creepy. Said Dean.
That's right, let's go back before we get burned. Said Ward.
Meanwhile: Base.
Barry, Skye, Sam, and Simmons sat in the meeting room.
So, how's everybody doing? Simmons asked.
What do you mean? Sam asked.
Well, any progress? Simmons asked.
To say that Deane and I have been at a standstill for eight months would be an understatement. Sam answered.
Same thing, nothing related to my case. Barry answered.
Ever wonder why? Asked Skye.
Honestly, I don't think the shield has anything on these cases and we're just wasting our time. Sam answered.
Maybe so, but the problem is that we don't have access to all the information. Said Skye.
Now you're going to talk about conspiracy theories. Barry suggested.
No, I'm just stating the fact that we don't have access to all the information. Skye replied.
Maybe it's no coincidence that they're keeping it from us. Said Sam.
Yeah, that's definitely true. Said Barry.
Well we have two options, either sit tight and never find out, or take our chances. Said Skye.
Well, I'm not risking anything unless I'm a shield agent. Said Sam.
Okay, just remember, if we get caught, we won't be free. Said Barry.
There's nothing to lose anyway. Said Skye.
Okay, what's the plan? Simmons asked.
Wait, are you coming with us? Skye asked.
Well, yeah. answered Simmons.
Okay, so what's the plan? Sam asked.
Does anyone know where the nearest shield office is? Asked Skye.
I can lead the way. Simmons replied.
Great. Said Barry.
Then maybe we should go. Said Sam.
An hour and a half later they were there.
So this is the Shield building? Barry asked.
I have to say, it looks pretty minimalist. Said Sam.
That's right, go to that window over there. Said Simmons.
Okay. They answered at the same time, and then went to the window.
Simmons went into the building to open the window for them.
Three minutes later, it did happen.
So, question for you, what are we even looking for? Sam asked.
The main computer, where all the information about the shield is stored. Barry answered.
Yeah you were right, if they catch us there's no freedom. Said Sam.
We'll probably get shot on sight. Said Barry.
That's not a good prospect. Said Skye.
We made it, I'll distract the guard and you get to work. Said Simmons.
Are you sure? Asked Sam.
I have good oratory skills. Answered Simmons, and went to chat with the guard while Barry, Skye, and Sam snuck into the department where all the Shield information was stored.
Okay, all the information is on this computer. Said Skye.
How much time do you need? Asked Barry.
About three minutes. Skye answered.
How is that? Sam asked.
There are a couple of skills. Skye answered.
1 minute later.
Guys, we have a problem. Said Sam.
What else is there? Asked Barry.
It seems that Simmons' oratorical skills have been exhausted. Sam answered.
What do you mean? Barry asked.
I mean that she talks rubbish. Sam answered.
Well, what are we going to do about the guard? Barry asked.
I think it's time we took matters into our own hands. Sam answered and then took his gun out of his pocket.
Hey. Said Barry.
Don't worry, there's a silencer. Said Sam.
No, I mean, are you gonna kill him now? Asked Barry.
No, it's a tranquilizer. Answered Sam, then went out and shot the guard.
Is it really bad at all? Asked Simmons.
Next time, we'll decide on the time. Answered Sam, after which they entered the department.
Done, all the information has been transferred to the flash drive. Said Skye.
Okay, let's get out of here. Said Barry, and then off they went.
Another hour and a half later, they got back to the base and started leafing through the files.
So, who's got what? Skye asked.
I got nothing, nothing to do with where my dad is, not with my mom's death. Sam answered.
Me too, nothing on people who might have been my parents. Said Skye.
And I have something. Said Barry.
What? Asked Skye.
An accident, same year, same month, same week, same time, same city, same neighborhood even. Barry answered.
Could it be a coincidence? Sam asked.
Maybe it is, but it's too much of a coincidence. Barry answered.
The only survivor is Dr. Harrison Wells. Said Skye.
Who's that? Asked Sam.
A genius in the scientific field, probably even one of the smartest people in the world. Barry answered.
So what are you going to do? Asked Skye.
I'm going to go to Central City and ask Wells about everything. Barry answered.
