Season 1 Episode 8 - Coincidence?
One Month Later: Central City.
Barry returned to his hometown to visit Star Labs and, disguised as a journalist, interview Harrison Wells.
Entering Star Labs, he saw that there was a whole crowd of scientists there, studying a particle gas pedal.
After a couple of seconds, Harrison Wells walked into the lab.
Dr. Wells? Asked Barry.
Yes. Answered Wells.
I'm Barry Allen, I'm with the Central City paper. Said Barry.
Isn't today interview day? Asked Wells.
No, I'm on my own prerogative. Barry answered.
I see. Answered Wells.
So are you going to do the interview? Barry asked.
Sure. Wells answered, and then they left the laboratory room.
So, what's the question for the interview? Wells asked.
The death of Tess Morgan. Barry answered, Wells' face darkening.
What exactly do you want to hear? Asked Wells.
Describe exactly what happened. Barry answered.
It's all over the Internet, why do you need to hear it from me? Asked Wells.
The Internet might lie, and then I need information from a trustworthy source. Barry answered.
Okay. Said Wells, then sighed heavily.
Anyway, we were driving home from our vacation, everything was fine, when suddenly the tires popped and we flipped over. I'm alive, she's dead, that's the whole story. Said Wells.
That night, did you see anything strange? Barry asked.
What could I have seen? Asked Wells.
I don't know, whatever it was that caused you to ask questions. Barry answered.
Yes, yes there is something. Said Wells.
What is it? Asked Barry.
There was a man there. Answered Wells, at which point Barry realized that it seems to be no coincidence.
What man? Barry asked.
I don't know, I came to, I saw that Tess was dying, I started screaming for help, the man came over but didn't help. He said a very strange phrase. Wells answered.
What did he say? Asked Barry.
He said that Tess has been dead for centuries. Answered Wells, at which point Barry's eyes clearly became concerned.
Okay, thanks for the interview Dr. Wells. Said Barry.
Good luck, Mr. Allen. Said Wells, after which Barry left Star Labs, he had some food for thought.
Base: two hours later.
Barry told the story to the team.
So, what do you think? Colson asked.
I don't know, I think it's a coincidence. Ward answered.
But I'd check anyway, where did you say it happened? Dean asked.
I've already surveyed the crash site, there's nothing there, no wonder, after all it's been 13 years.
Barry answered.
Okay, let's say it's not a coincidence, what gives? May asked.
Honestly, nothing, just another death on that man's conscience. Barry answered.
I see, so even if you can prove that the same person is responsible for your mother's death and Tess Morgan's death, it won't do anything. Sam concluded.
Yes, it does. Said Barry, then walked out of the hall.
Fifteen minutes later.
Barry was sitting in his room, he was just staring at the wall, at some point there was a knock on the door.
It's open. Said Barry, the door opened, Skye was behind it.
Hi. Said Skye.
Hi. Said Barry.
How are you? Asked Skye.
Let's just say I went to my interview with Wells full of hope, after the interview I went disappointed. Barry answered, Sky sat down next to him.
I thought I'd finally found at least a clue, something, but it seems I'll never find him again, he may well be long dead. Thirteen years down the drain. Barry went on, and Skye put her hand on his shoulder.
Look, I don't know you very well, but from what I've seen so far, I can deduce that you don't give up, and you're not giving up now. Says Skye.
Maybe you're right, but if I go on now, my life could be considered over, I have to think about it. Said Barry.
Is there anything I can do to help? Asked Skye.
I need to be alone with my thoughts. Barry answered.

Three hours later: Discussion Room.
I've made my decision. Said Barry.
So are you going to say? Colson asked.
I'm stopping the search, I don't want to ruin my life for revenge on a man who may well be long dead. Barry answered.
