Malfoy bashing plain and simple
“So, cousin Cissy, you wanted to talk.” Sirius Black said as he saw his cousin Narcissa Malfoy (though depending on her, soon to be Black) said.
“Congrats on the perfect resolution of the trial.” Narcissa said.
“No thanks to your part of the family. Lucius intended for me to never be Lord Black so he could thrive. And you didn’t do much to stop him from doing that. After all you knew I would never turn on James Potter.” Black said, unusually firm and serious.
“I know.” Narcissa said. “Though with the birth of my son Draco, I didn’t dare to go against Lucius. Mostly for the benefit of my son. I thought sacrificing you while making sure he would be well cared for was worth the price.”
“I got no sympathy. While I can understand looking after your son…Lucius is a murderer. He didn’t have a trial yet, but we both know that he is. And his son is too much like him, he would commit a murder if he was able to get away with it…and smart enough, which luckily he isn’t.” Sirius noted. “Don’t think I haven’t heard on how he wished the Muggleborns would all die to the Basilisk. He’s as subtle as a brick to the head.”
“I am aware that I gave his father too much leeway in raising him. Though he is still a boy…” Narcissa sighed. “I am not going to mince my words, I know Lucius is done for. Fudge has lost too much public approval and the current spectacle, if he doesn’t give a fair trial to my husband, he would hang. He can’t bribe his way out and will be condemned. I am not going to stay on a sinking ship.” Narcissa said.
“Let me guess, you want to dissolve the marriage, become a Black again, and adopt your son in the Black House to protect him?” Sirius asked.
“Well, you do have a working brain, or at least one that is not fully devoted on silly pranks or making a prat of yourself.” Narcissa snarked.
“We have both crafted an image of ourselves, both of us have people underestimate us.” Sirius said. “And like you, I have someone to protect and I would also do everything to protect him. And you and your son…I don’t trust you near him.”
“The Potter boy. Of course, your godson, the son of your best friend.” Narcissa said. “And those…beings he calls his sisters and mother?”
“They took care and protected Harry and were there for him. They are family. Don’t give me any veiled prejudiced comments. Their status as a non-human is meaningless. They saved the person I couldn’t love more if he was my own son. That’s what matters to me.” Sirius said.
“I can promise to have myself and Draco behave.” Narcissa said.
“I’m sorry Cissy, but I can only trust you as far as I can throw you.” Sirius said. “How can I tell you aren’t more closely involved with your husband’s schemes then you let on?”
“I don’t have a Dark Mark.” She said as she showed her arm. “You need to do vile things to get one. I admit that I may value the Pureness of Blood, but I’m not a killer. And I may not have stood up to my husband or the forces of darkness…But I’m no Gryffindor, and I had a child. The latter may be an excuse, but assuring Draco’ safety was everything to me. And for his safety, I’m willing to make any deal. I know that you have far less to gain from this then me, so ask me anything, any price, I am willing to pay it.”
“So, you wouldn’t mind kicking your husband to the curb?” Sirius asked.
“He played a game and lost. He has gone down a dangerous path and I won’t let my son go down the same path. It would get us killed or worse.” Narcissa explained. “I can provide the Malfoy Fortune on top of the Black dowry you can recall. I can obtain the Malfoy votes in the Wizengamot and pass them to you before the marriage can be dissolved. I can provide you with info on the Dark Lord’s inner circles, something Lucius thought I had little insight in. I can give you some locations of bolt holes, hidden stashes, you name it.”
“I admit that you drive a good bargain. But I need certainty. Would you make an Unbreakable Vow?” Sirius asked.
“Yes.” Narcissa didn’t hesitate.
“And you would whip your son into shape? Keep him away from my godson and his friends, and have him keep his mouth shut? I know you love him but you can’t coddle or spoil him anymore.” Sirius continued to ask.
“I will.” Narcissa’s determination was real.
“Well then…I will have to come back to you, as I am going to have my legal expert think off a good wording for the vow, and some other documents that we need. Keep yourself available, or I am tempted to cast you out the family altogether. I also will put in a word with Amelia Bones, whom may keep you out of Azkaban if the proof you can provide is sufficient enough.”
“Understandable.” Narcissa said. “It’s going ot be Lupin whom draws up the paperwork, right? You are pants at it yourself.” Narcissa noted.
“Yes.” Sirius said. “Don’t underestimate him, he knows his paperwork.”
“Oh I know. He was a good note taker in school.” Narcissa replied. She licked her lips for a few moments. “Er…you think Andi would love to talk to?”
“She misses the sister she once knew. But she doubts that one still exists. You are going to have to prove yourself. And Andi, if she had to choose between protecting her current family and you…” Sirius warned.
“She would do anything for her daughter, like I’d do for Draco. I understand.” Narcissa said. “It’s the nicest talk we had in a long time.”
“Indeed, I can’t recall the last time we spoke that didn’t involve us cursing one another.” Sirius said. “Took me a while to get rid of the boils.”
“Sorry about that.” Narcissa said.
“And I’m sorry about the rash I gave you in…a sensitive spot.” Sirius said.
“It is forgiven.” Narcissa said.
“Know that because we’re friendlier now in this moment I won’t keep an eye on you though.” Sirius said.
“Can’t blame you.” Narcissa replied.

Narcissa thought it was time to meet with her son. Her son was excused that weekend to go and meet with her since it was serious family business. Narcissa thought, all things considering, that Draco handled it well.
“WHAT?” Draco shouted from the top of his lungs.
“I wasn’t speaking Gobbledegook, so either you are disbelieving or you didn’t listen. You want me to repeat it?” Narcissa asked.
“But Mother…we can’t just abandon Father to fraternize with a blood traitor!” Draco pleaded.
“We can and we will. Your father is now a criminal, whom at best will be sent to Azkaban with Aunt Bellatrix or at worse will be ending up a Dementor’s prey. And if we don’t act, we will be dragged down alongside him. Sirius Black is the head of the Black House and I’m lucky to be able to convince him to get us out of any mess your Father may leave behind. So I would not insult him, Potter or any of their friends, or we’ll jeopardize everything.” Narcissa laid it down hard for her son.
“But Father…He is too big, too important, they won’t condemn him, would they?” Draco asked.
“They will. Fudge is in hot water with the public, and there are too many witnesses. If he doesn’t allow the trial to go through, he will be done for. Fudge disowns your Father to save his are and we should do it too.” Narcissa replied.
“But…They don’t have any evidence, do they?” Draco asked.
“They do.” Narcissa said. “I gave it to them.”
“Why would you do that, you bitch! That’s your husband!” Draco hollered.
“Scourgify!” Narcissa pointed her wand at Draco, and soap-like bubbles came from his mouth and shut him up. “Now, that should keep you quiet. I am going to explain once again: Your Father f***ed up and I am not going to have him drag us down. He could have gotten you killed multiple times for his stunt with the Basilisk and the dragons. Including the family members of various Wizengamot members, among them his former allies. They’re out for blood, and if they can’t have his, they will turn to you. So if you distance yourself from your Father and behave, you will come out unscathed, you understand?”
Draco spat out the soap as hard as he could. “But that I have to not say anything to Potter, Granger and all of the others? But they’re impure, do I have to let that pass?” Draco asked.
“Yes! Sure, I’m still supportive of the Pureblood agenda, but you are not doing a good job of representing it. You want to prove yourself his better? Study harder then them, no half brained schemes. And no mouthing off, you act more like a Gryffindor then a Slytherin. You have ambition but you don’t have the will or smarts to achieve your goals. Work on that. You don’t show any cunning. What little schemes you have gotten away with in the past was due to Severus Snape and your father covering for you. But they won’t anymore. I already told you what happened with your Father and I also heard Snape is kept on a shorter leash by the Headmaster.”
“B-b-b-b-but…” Draco whimpered.
“Get yourself together, get your life together. If you want to survive the shitstorm that is going to hit us, you better start now!” Narcissa said, with a hint of a threat in her voice.
“But…it’s not fair! Pansy left me, Potter’s ass is being kissed by everyone and he has this stupid superspell to create those disgusting hybrids that a respectable Pureblood of me can’t figure out. This ‘Moefy’ thing won’t work he says, due to me not having the right mindset or something. Does he think I’m stupid?” Draco whined.
Narcissa sighed and suppressed the headache that she felt coming up. “That’s enough Draco. I love you a lot, and that’s why I’m patient with you…” Barely. “So if you don’t behave now, I’ll use that spell on you. I don’t know what it does to humans. Maybe it works in reverse and you become an object? Or since a lot of those transformed beings are girls, maybe you’ll lose your wedding tackle and you’ll be a girl. You want to find out?”
“No!” Draco said as he covered his manhood.
“Well, are you then going to play nice, keep your head down, and work hard?” Narcissa asked.
“No! I don’t, I’ll behave!” Draco squeaked. That was the best way to describe how high pitched his voice suddenly was.
“Good boy. I know you’d listen to me. Now, don’t disappoint me, Draco.” She said as she kissed her son’s forehead. Though she knew that Draco for now makes a promise but she isn’t sure how he’s able to keep it. Luckily she was a true Slytherin through and through.

“Your families have a contract with the Malfoys. I now hold it while me husband is arrested, and I’ll make sure it remains with me after our marriage is dissolved. So in simple terms, I’m the boss now.” Narcissa said to Crabbe and Goyle.
“Understood, madame boss!” Crabbe said.
“Now, you have a simple task. Keep my son out of trouble. He tends to speak his mind without thinking and isn’t good at keeping promises. If he steps out of line, you have permission to manhandle him if that’s what it takes to keep him quiet. Understood?” Narcissa asked.
“Can do, ma’am!” Goyle said with a nod.
“Ok, short of crippling or killing him or breaking the law, you can do anything to him. He needs to learn his lesson even if tough love is shown. I’ll even double your pay to make you extra motivated.”
“All right!” both of them said simultaneously.
“Good you understand. Thanks for your cooperation.” Narcissa said before she left.
“Wait, did we even get paid before?” Goyle asked.
“Who cares, we get double now!” Crabbe added cheerfully.

“Malfoy is unusually quiet.” Harry noted.
“I wonder what that’s about.” Hermione wondered.
“Yeah, if he is all quiet and non-bothering at all, I wonder if I still should continue to give him the bad luck potion…” Maps noted.
“We all know you won’t stop doing that.” Bolt noted.
“True. After all it’s best to continue to not encourage a relapse.” Maps said with a smirk.
Soon after they saw Draco literally spitting fire. “Whom put Dragonpeppers in my food! I bet it was you Po-” Draco Malfoy wanted to berate the heroes again, only for Crabbe and Goyle to tackle him to the ground. There was a bit of fighting, before Crabbe and Goyle sat back at their table. A bruised Malfoy sat back down at his table. “Never mind…” he said before he fainted in his mashed potatoes.
“What has gotten into the bookends?” Ron wondered.
“Maybe they are tired of Malfoy too.” Harry said. No one could disagree. No one liked Malfoy after all.
