Summary
Just like Front Lines is a Justice League retelling, Front Lines: Second Wave is a retelling of Justice League Unlimited. There are different characters from the different stories that I've put together little by little, and things will change drastically due to the characters and the like that I've chosen to add here and there and what characters I've chosen to replace. The Front Lines: Second Wave Season 01 Episode 05

We see that Static, Gear, and Hotstreak, were fighting a guy that had green skin and had various spots on his head and body, he had his gums and teeth exposed and they'd been trying to keep their distance from the guy but he'd managed to get ahold of Hotstreak and was using that power to attack and corner static.

After managing to drain Static as well he'd had a ZapCap thrown at him that'd been filled with liquid nitrogen in order to try to freeze the guy but with the powers of both Static and Hotstreak he'd managed to easily recover.

"Guys, I need some backup here!" Gear spoke into the communicator while trying to avoid this guy "Leech, how did you even get your powers back anyway?"

The green guy stated "Oh y'know, I wasn't in Dakota when the cure was sent out and haven't been back since. Lucky me." answering to the name of Leech that Gear called him by.

Meanwhile a plane had been falling with people panicking when Dan Phantom flew by and grabbed at the bottom of it lifting the machine up and to keep it balanced as in his com J'onn says "Dan, you're needed."

"Little busy here J'onn, can it wait?" when some kind of blur had flown past. as he was trying to stabilize the plane and help it land on the runway.

After safely landing the plane he'd flown off after that blur and found a guy in a red and gold outfit with a white cape there twisting the leech guy up in it tying him in place before flying down to the others.

"Couple of more minutes and I would have recharged enough to take him down." Hotstreak stated complaining about needing help to fight this guy.

Dan had flown down to meet this guy questioning "And just who are you?" looking at the new guy.

"Oh uh, Captain marvel, it's a real honor to meet you sir." The man spoke in response while shaking Dan's hand.

We see the group walking away when some reporters had tried to stop Captain Marvel wanting to talk with him and he states "Okay, one at a time please."

"Julie Yamamoto, News 3 Network. How does it feel to be a part of the Front Lines?" The woman with dark hair questioned him.

"Oh I'm not a member, I just happened to be in the neighborhood and was helping out. But I do hope to join someday." Captain Marvel stated to them all.

"What makes you want to join the Front Lines?" She'd then questioned him next about the group.

"Well, it's all the good that they do, not just helping people but they really make a difference y'know. I mean Norman Osborn was a supervillain and now he's running for president, I think it's great they could help him reform." He'd answered back about what they were doing.

Sometime later Dan had shown up in front of Captain Marvel and stated "Come with me." and taken him to another location before stating into his Com "Two to board." and they'd been teleported aboard the watchtower.

"Whoa, I can't believe I'm in the Watchtower, this is amazing!" Captain Marvel stated looking out at the planet earth through a viewing window.

"Keep up." Dan spoke continuing to walk with him taking them to a room where the founding members had gathered, all but Hawkgirl who had chosen to leave at the end of the invasion to find herself.

"Have you read the papers today?" Spider-Man questioned looking over at Captain Marvel who seemed confused by the question and he'd lifted up the papers that had a headline stating Captain Marvel Endorses Osborn For President right there front page.

"Oh, wait, no I didn't do that.. Exactly." He'd tried to defend himself from what the papers said not wanting to be in trouble.

"Then you'd better clear that up real quick with the presses, if you ever wanna join the Front Lines then you'll have to learn that what you say carries consequences, if this had come out while you were a member it'd have reflected not just you but all of the Front Lines." Ben stated to him about that.

"Look Billy, I get you're a kid but you need to learn how to better word things. People don't simply change overnight I've had to learn that the hard way." Spider-Man stated to Captain Marvel about the situation. "It's just not that black and white."

"Well maybe it is sometimes, maybe people can change!" Captain marvel stated slapping the table frustrated and the others had glared at him. "Can't they?"

"Not overnight." Dan stated in response "Not even I changed that fast. You don't just wake up one day and now you're a good guy, it's a slow process."

"We can't stop you from talking to the press or anything but we wanted to make sure you understood that the Press will twist what you say to use it against you, and against every other heroes out there if they can. So be careful what you say." J'onn J'onzz stated to him in response.

"I'll.. keep that in mind." He'd spoken and Spider-Man stood up to walk him out taking Captain Marvel to a teleportation platform and they transported back to earth.

We then see later on one of the news stations that Norman had invited Spider-Man to a charity event for a new place that he'd been funding and the television had been turned off with the reflection of Peter in his costume without his mask on had leaned farther back against the back of the couch and he'd sighed rubbing his face frustrated.

"Trouble with work?" A young woman's voice spoke as she'd walked over in a green shirt with a white 1 on it along with slightly darker green short sleeves and not much else. The shirt had seemed well worn as if she'd had it for awhile though it also appeared she was growing into it as it'd been just long enough to cover everything important but short enough to entice anyone seeing her in it.

"Ya something like that." Peter stated with a sigh starting to relax more with her beside him. "Norman Osborn is the dad of one of my best friends and wanted to mentor me for a business career, but he was also the Green Goblin one of my worst enemies to date. I just don't know what I should do Liz."

"You've given second chances to people who others wouldn't Sandman, Venom, .. Flash." She'd joked about that last one making him laugh a bit. "You've even given a second chance to the guy who did one of the worst things imaginable to you, and they've worked towards becoming better people because you gave them the second chance they needed."

"So you're saying I should go to the event then?" He'd questioned considering what she'd been saying.

"I'm saying you've always done what you believed to be the right thing, I mean you invited the son of your biggest hater in the news to join your team remember?" Liz had then pointed out to him about how he'd do things. "Just do whatever you think is best and you'll find the right answer."

"Thanks Liz, I think I needed that." Peter stated back thanking her for reminding him of all of that feeling better now.

"Good." She'd spoken back and kissed him upon the lips before adding "Now get out of that costume and come to bed, it's getting late."

"Yes Ma'am." He'd answered back while she'd gotten up to go to the bedroom as he'd stood up to follow while fighting with getting his costume off as he does so.

We then fade off to Norman Osborn speaking as we zoom in on him and see that Spider-Man was there with him along with Norman's son Harry as the former states "In a few short weeks these children who's lives have been troubled and who's parent have struggled to make ends meat will be moving to the city where they'll have a chance at a brighter future. Now go on and have yourselves a ball." as he'd tussled the hair of the kid closest to him and let them run off to play.

"This is one of the most ambitious projects I've ever been a part of, a fully functioning city to house those that are most in need. Just think of it everyone, thirty thousand people who will never again have to worry about a roof over their heads, about a safe and clean environment for their children.." Norman had continued speaking but had paused for a moment before then adding "I'm sorry, it's just.. I've been such a fool and because of my hubris I now have an incurable cancer, but in a way it's been a blessing as it'd really opened my eyes to what a fool I've been. I've missed so much of my son's life and now he's all grown up and I missed all the important things. I just hope that no one has to go through that like he did."

The people there had clapped in response to this and Spider-Man states "Nice acting Norman." but only loud enough that Norman was the only one who could hear him.

"It's no act." He'd stated back softly so that only Spider-Man could hear and they'd had some drinks brough over to them and he'd picked up one while Harry and Spider-Man picked up the others. "I'd like to thank Spider-Man for putting aside our differences and coming here to celebrate this special night. To Spider-Man our hero."

"To the children, and the hope that they grow up with a brighter tomorrow." Spider-Man then stated back in response lifting up his glass too.

"Spider-Man, Dad threw out the entire goblin serum when he got out of prison. He's genuinely trying to make an effort, or at least appears to be." Harry stated to the webslinger though he was still suspicious of his father as well.

"Fine Norman, one chance, one final chance, but if you do anything to step out of lines I won't hastate to take you down." The Webslinger stated to them in response giving him just that one chance.

"That's all that I ask for." Norman spoke back with a nod thanking Spider-Man for giving him a final chance to set everything right.

They'd gotten to relax and enjoy the festivities and surprise surprise they'd gone off without a hitch as the lights to the buildings had finally come on. This really would be a place for people to get a new start, or so it seemed at least. They still had their doubts of course but they'd give him a chance at least.

Captain Marvel however had chosen to go and speak with the media to correct the misquote stating he didn't say he was endorsing Osborn or anyone else, and that he was just saying he liked that the Front Lines had helped him to reform from his days as the Goblin, nothing more and that he'd wanted the misquote fixed. Which they did having a retraction on their misquoting.

This led to him being asked once more to come to another meeting where Wonder Woman speaks first stating "You've gone back and fix them misquoting you we see."

"Er, yes ma'am. I never endorsed anyone. I was trying to say I was glad the Front Lines helped Norman Osborn to reform from his days as the Goblin, I never actually said I wanted him to be the president." Captain Marvel stated to them finally giving his side of the events.

"It's good that you've gone back and had them correct the misquote, but you still need to watch what you say around the Press. That being said we have started to consider your candidacy." Lok stated to him about what's going on with their end.

"Does this mean I'm in?" He'd questioned wanting to know if he'd get to be a part of the Front Lines or not.

"No, you are still too young to join the plumbers and so cannot join the hero division or the Front Lines by extension." J'onn J'onzz stated in response making them looked saddened to hear. "However, if the votes do not change by the time you get there you'll easily be voted in once it's time." The Martian then added to what he was saying at the end making him brighten up a bit.

"Meanwhile there is a Backup team that you could work together with to help prepare you for the big league." Lok then stated back to him which had made Captain Marvel perk up at the idea of a different team he could join up with for the time being.
