You vs Them
Buckys POV
As Bucky walked the 10 minutes to Sam’s house he was already beginning to have second thoughts about the whole bet. Sam seemed like decent guy and what type of guy messes with a decent guy. As he got closer to the house Bucky pushed his second thoughts aside. Getting embarrassed infront of his friends at the party was already bad enough, he couldn’t bear to go through that twice.
Sam’s POV
"SAM THERES A SUPER CUTE BOY AT THE DOOR FOR YOU" Sarah screamed from the bottom of the stairs.
"SARAH I SWEAR TO G-" Sam shouted throwing the door open to his room quieting his yell as soon as he saw Bucky at the bottom of the stairs .
"Hey Sam" Bucky said shifting uncomfortably
"Sorry about her she doesn't know what boundaries are" Sam said sticking his tongue out at Sarah when he thought Bucky wasn’t looking.
"Don't worry about it I have a sister too her names Becca and she's the exact same. Oh and i'm Bucky by the way" Bucky said turning to Sarah.
"I'm Sarah, the better Wilson" Sarah said with a grin
"Jury's definitely still up for debate on that one" Sam interjected "Do you want to go up to my room so we can work on the project" Sam asked gesturing towards the stairs
"Yeah sure, I had a few ideas of what we could do for some of the elements"
5 hours later
"Sam there is absolutely no way you are this horrible at monopoly" Bucky grinned snatching the play money from Sam's hand. The boys had finished their project about three hours ago. Now they were playing board games on the porch and eating the sandwiches Ms.Wilson made for them.
"I'm not that bad. Plus you cheated!" Sam said crossing his arms
"Sam Wilson you are a terrible loser plus you can’t cheat at monopoly" Bucky chuckled as he put the pieces back into the game box.
"Am not"
"Oh shoot I didn't even realize how late it was I was supposed to go to pratice today " Bucky said grabbing his bag "I had a lot of fun Sam" Bucky said before running down the driveway and turning the corner disappearing from Sam's sight completely.
“So…. Bucky the boyfriend” Sarah teased before Sam could even shut the front door.
“Hes not my boyfriend he’s just my chemistry lab partner. Plus I don’t even think he likes guys.” Sam shrugged as he locked the door
“I don’t know Samuel I dont sit outside and play board games with my lab partners hours after we finished our project. And I asked Becca and he’s gay.”
“Why are you so nosey” Sam chuckled “You’re like a little stalker”
“Not stalking if i just asked” Sarah said shoving Sam “Plus one of us has to get the information”
Buckys Pov
Bucky was over 2 hours late for football practice.He didn’t even mean to stay at Sam’s so long. It was just Sam was so fun and easy to talk to he lost track of time. The team was never going to let him hear the end of how a bet made him so late to football practice. However, the more Bucky thought about Sam and subsequently the bet the guilter he felt. He hoped Sam would be like this mega jerk and then Bucky wouldn’t have felt bad at all, but Sam was the opposite. He was sweet and funny and cute. If it wasn’t for the stupid bet Bucky would be trying to date Sam in real life. After awhile Bucky was contemplating wether or not he should even continue the bet. The whole idea was half thought out anyways and a little evil. Eventually Bucky decided to just blow off pratice and call off the bet it was all for the best.
MESSAGE TO: THE BIG THREE
Bucky: calling off the bet
Steve: Why?
Nat: quitter.
Bucky: Sams really cool
Steve: Okay?
Bucky: I don’t wanna hurt his feelings
Nat: So you’re going to be embarrass yourself infront of all our friends for what? a guy you don’t even know. Wow you really are a quitter.
Bucky: Good point…. it’s not worth it
Nat: Now you’re thinking
Steve: I don’t know guys
Bucky: Thanks for talking some sense into me Nat
Nat: Always idiot.
