Small gifts
After a week of business in Asia, Tony Stark finally returned home, his mind full of ideas and excited to spend time with Peter. He knew the young man appreciated technology, so he decided to surprise him with a special gift.
Tony walked into the living room of Stark Tower and called out to Peter, who quickly approached with a smile on his face. Tony pulled a small elegant case out of his pocket and extended it toward Peter.
"Peter, I thought of you during my trip and brought something for you," Tony said excitedly. "It's a device I designed especially for you while I was at the hotel . I call it 'Web-Tracker'."
Peter opened the case and was amazed to see the small technological device. It was a portable device with a touch screen and several buttons. Tony explained, "This device will allow you to track and analyze your web networks. You will be able to monitor their resilience, density and other important characteristics. In addition, it will also help you improve your casting technique."
Excitement and gratitude flashed in Peter's eyes as he held the Web-Tracker in his hands. It was the perfect gift for someone like him, a young hero who relied on his arachnid abilities to protect others.
"Wow, Tony! This is awesome - thank you so much!" exclaimed Peter enthusiastically. "This will really help me in my missions and training."
Tony smiled in satisfaction as he saw the joy on Peter's face. He knew how important it was for the young man to feel supported and backed up, and this gift was his way of showing it.
Tony Stark was pleased as he watched Peter, his ward perform with confidence and skill in his daily activities. He had noticed a change in the way Peter addressed him, going from calling him "Mr. Stark" to simply "Tony." And that gladdened his heart.
On a quiet afternoon at Stark Tower, Tony and Peter were in the lab, working on a new project. As they were exchanging ideas and sharing laughs, Peter blurted out a casual phrase: "Hey, Tony, what do you say we try out this new web-slinging formula?"
Those words made Tony grin from ear to ear. It was a small detail, but it meant a lot to him. For a long time, he had been "Mr. Stark" to Peter, an authority figure and mentor. But now, their relationship had evolved to the point where Peter felt close enough to call him by name.
"I like the sound of that, Peter," Tony replied with a gleam of pride in his eyes. "It's good to see that our relationship has come such a long way. You can call me Tony, there's no need for formalities between us." He said as he tapped hard on an engine part with a wrench.
Peter nodded enthusiastically, pleased by the change. "Thank you, Tony. I feel much more comfortable this way, just...forget it. " he said with a smile.
The simple act of calling him by name made it clear that they had built a special connection and that Peter trusted him completely. Tony felt honored to be a part of Peter's life in a deeper way, not just as a mentor, but as a father figure.
"Hey Fri, can you play the last five video files from my personal folder, please."
"Sure thing boss, hovering."
1. In the Stark Tower lab:
"Tony, do you think we could improve my suit design?"
"Of course, Peter. I'm here to help you with whatever you need."
2. During a team mission.
"Tony, I need your support! I'm surrounded by some really weird enemies, they have multiple eyes!"
"Don't worry, Underoos. I'm on my way. ".
3. At a casual meeting in the living room.
"Hey, Tony, what do you think about hosting a movie night with all the Avengers?"
"Sounds great to me, Pete. It'll be fun to spend time together, as long as Legolas doesn't want to destroy the kitchen.".
4. While training in the Stark Tower gym:
"Tony, I need to improve my resilience. Can you help me with a new training program. Do you know if Friday can do it?"
"Of course, Underoos, you don't have to ask."
5. In a moment of reflection.
"Tony, I'm grateful for everything you've done for me."
"And I'm proud of you, Peter. You're a boy."
On a sunny afternoon, Tony and Peter were in the living room of Stark Tower, enjoying some downtime after an action-packed day. Tony was engrossed in his reading of a technology magazine, while Peter was playing a video game on his phone.
Suddenly, Peter exclaimed excitedly, "Yes! I did it! I just won the game!".
Tony looked up from his magazine and smiled, "Way to go, Peter! That calls for a little celebration. How about we order pineapple pizza to celebrate your victory? It's not every day you beat Natasha."
Peter's eyes lit up and he nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah, pizza sounds great, Tony!".
They both headed to the kitchen and began ordering their favorite pizza. As they waited for delivery, they began chatting about their favorite moments from the game and sharing funny anecdotes.
Between laughter and jokes, they realized how comfortable they felt with each other. There was a mutual trust and happiness that went beyond their relationship as mentor and mentee. They were like two family members? Enjoying a relaxed afternoon together.
When the pizza finally arrived, they sat down on the couch and began to enjoy their dinner. Tony joked about Peter's video game skills, while Peter shared his secret strategies.
In that moment, without words, they understood each other. Although they wouldn't openly admit it, they knew their relationship had transcended professional boundaries. They were like family, sharing everyday moments and creating memories they would treasure forever.
That afternoon, enjoying pizza and sharing laughter, the special bond that existed between Tony and Peter was reaffirmed. Although they were not biological father and son, they had found in each other a familiar figure to turn to in good times and bad.
Those kinds of everyday moments, sharing laughter and enjoying each other's company, reaffirmed their special connection and reminded them how lucky they were to have each other in their lives. Tony didn't know what that was, didn't know if he could classify it as love. It was like everything he would have liked his father to say to him, it was a comforting warmth, it was affection.
As Happy drove the car on his way to school, Peter felt uncomfortable about his recent behavior and decided to use the drive to apologize.
"Hey, Happy," Peter began in a soft voice, "I wanted to apologize for being so intense lately. I know I can be a little overwhelming at times, especially with everything that's been going on."
Happy kept his gaze on the road, but nodded understandingly. "Don't worry, Peter. I understand you're going through a lot and sometimes it's hard to deal with it all. But remember, we're here , I'm here."
Peter sighed in relief, grateful for Happy's understanding. "I know, and I really appreciate everything you've done for me. I just want to make sure I don't overdo it . ".
Happy smiled and rested his hand on Peter's shoulder. "The important thing is that we're in this together, Peter. We're kind of a team, you know, and teams support each other, even in the tough times. Just please don't call when I'm on vacation, kid."
Peter nodded gratefully. "You're right and sorry , Happy."
"I was kidding , call anytime. And if that Flash guy wants to overdo it again, SCREAM, give me a call."
"I don't think that's necessary."
"I'm a bodyguard Pete, I know what's necessary."
