Gwen was caught slightly off guard when she exited the portal, being thrown into a random street in Brooklyn, her reflexes didn't fail however, immediately swinging onto a nearby building flying through the streets with her webs.
She loved Miles's dimension, it was a nice change from her colorful home, she loved the way everything felt so real there.
She continued swinging through Brooklyn with a smile on her face, the breath being taken right out of her from the sights she saw around her. She was so wrapped up in her feelings she almost swung right past Miles's apartment.
She quickly latched onto the building and flung herself towards it, practically slamming herself against the wall. She groaned and took a second to readjust before crawling to a familiar window and sliding it open creeping into the room, sticking to the ceiling.
After the last incident she knew to look for Miles's parents before anything else. Silently, she crawled on the ceiling towards the door and peeked through only to see no one in the house.
Confused, she opened the door wider, not a person in sight. Just as she was about to take out her phone, she heard a familiar voice,
"You'd be a great stalker" Without thinking, Gwen webbed whoever the voice came from and pulled them in the air holding them from the collar of their shirt leaving them hanging in the air.
It was Pav.
"Chill, it's just me." He said with an amused smile. Gwen just sighed in response, dropping him with an annoyed expression being seen through her mask.
"Why didn't you say anything!" She sounded frustrated, Pavitr gave her a smile
"I wanted to see how far you went" He said casually sitting back in the chair by Miles's desk.
"God, you sound like Hobie! You've been spending more time with him I assume."
A pause
"I guess you could say that," Pav said with a smile. Gwen raised an eyebrow but chose to not question it.
"Where are they anyway? I thought you said Mile and Hobie were here?"
"They went to the store, I knew you'd be coming by soon so I stayed." Pavitr said fiddling with whatever was on Miles's desk.
"How've you been Gwenny?" Pav questioned
"I've been.. alright..." Her voice slightly raising as she said 'alright'
He raised and eyebrow
"What do you mean by alright?" Gwen sighed and dropped her head
"It means alright." She said with a stern voice
"Okay, okay, I'll stop. I'm just.... worried." He said with his hands in the air.
Gwen didn't say anything and stood there, looking away from Pavitr.
"Look, I haven't seen you in what feels like forever. I know the whole situation with Mr. O'hara and Spot fucked up some things but that doesn't change that you're our friend. That goes for me, Miles and Hobie alright." He said as he put his hand on her shoulder.
"Right, right..." Gwen said with a smile.
Pavitr gave Gwen a slightly awkward hug
"I'm here for you Gwen." Pav said while hugging her.
Gwen smiled and slowly backed away from Pavitr.
"Okay, please never do that again" Gwen said giving a teasing smile
"Shut up Gwanda" Pavitr said, giving her a small punch to the arm.
"Oh whatever" She said, waving her hand in a shoo motion like Pavitr was some sort of fly.
They continued to talk to each other in Miles's room, Gwen sitting on his bed and Pavitr taking his spot back on Miles's desk chair. They sat there catching up with each other for another 20 minutes before they heard some keys jingling outside the door.
Pavitr let out a small gasp looking towards the door, Gwen following and looking towards the door as well.
"That must be Miles and Hob" He said walking towards the door.
They walked towards the door opening it for them, Gwen couldn't help but feel her heartbeat getting faster and the smile that crept onto her face when she heard a familiar voice.
"Hey Pav, we're back, don't get scared!!" Miles announced not knowing they were right by the door.
Gwen smiled at the voice she never forgot, it had been so long since she last heard it.
Their eyes met and the way Miles's eyes slightly widened didn't go unnoticed by Gwen.
"Oh, hey Gwen." He said with that warm smile that made Gwen melt.
Just as she was about to respond she heard a gasp and a hand appear on Miles's shoulder.
It was none other than Margo Kess.
"Gwen!! It's been a while hasn't it!" She said with a bright smile.
"Oh my, hey guys! I guess it has been a while.." She smiled back at the two of them waving her hand.
Hobie soon walked in greeting her and Pavitr, pulling various items he stole from the store out of his jacket.
Gwen watched as they laughed and joked around with each other, especially noticing how Miles and Margo gravitate towards each other.
She ignored the way it made her feel uneasy and continued smiling and trying her best to ignore whatever emotion she was feeling.
