Tracking down
Itd been. What? Months? Maybe a year or so has passed since the whole.. Spot incident was resolved.
things had finally cooled down for a while, the arachkids were reunited, Miles was successful in saving his father, and to his luck nothing happened to his world. Miguel nearly threw his life away to save them , miraculously surviving with everyone agreeing to forget he just almost died there, but soon enough he found himself as another mentor for Miles. Myles (42 miles) was like a brother to Miles, of course, those two were so in sync it was almost scary. It was difficult to explain to 1610 rio and jeff what was going on, but they accepted them both with open arms. Things had healed, it was calm and everything felt complete.
So of course everyone was in panic when the sunflower of the team had suddenly been uprooted and was gone, just like that. It was as if he dropped off the face of the earth itself. He hadn’t been seen, no one could track him nor find his location, the last place he was at was in earth-42 staying the night at Uncle Aarons. no one had expected this. It's not like there were any signs he was doing unwell, he’d been attending therapy- or at least he claimed he was going to his sessions- was that a lie? No, something else had to be at play here right?
It had been days since he first disappeared, there was still no such luck.
Gwen was currently with Hobie, she had been in more disarray out of the other 3 about Miles’s disappearance, it took a couple days to rekindle that relationship they once had, it was fragile. Of course she took the news the hardest.
“God- what are we gonna do??? we-we can’t just- scale the entire multiverse for him! He could be anywhere!” Gwen said throwing her hands up in a defeated manner, looking to Hobie with pleading eyes hoping he’d have an answer-ANYTHING- to this
“Gwendy, you gotta calm down mate, you're going to send yourself into a spiral.. breathe, girl.” Hobie advised first, putting a sympathetic hand on her shoulder as they did a breathing exercise together, once he was sure Gwen was calm enough he removed his hand
“We will find him, sooner or later. He's a strong lad , aye? He can handle himself wherever he is.” Hobie reassured with a nod and small smile hoping to put her at ease.
what happened next though would get both of them up and attem as Gwens watch beeped, a call from Lyla, that got her attention real quick as she quickly answered
“What is it?? Did you find him??” Gwen urgently asked not letting Lyla get a word in at first.
“Yea. he's located in Mumbattan , but you guys might wanna get there fast, Pavitr said there’s something attacking the city.” Lyla reported, once getting a nod of confirmation from Gwen she hopped off the call.
“You get all that?” Gwen asked, looking at Hobie already getting the portal open.
“Pavs in trouble and miles is in his world. Let’s roll” Hobie pulled his mask on putting the Guitar over his shoulder as Gwen pulled her own hood and mask on, the two stepping through the portal to earth-50101.
frankly the sight they saw wasn’t something they’d expect to see, as soon as the portal opened up they swung over to where their spider senses led to Pavitr, who was already occupied trying to help the civilians evacuate the area, he caught a glimpse of his two friends in the corner of his eye
“Gwen! Hobie! Good to see you two! I could really use a hand- '' Pavitr said using his bangle to rope some civilians closer and swing them to safety. The two of them wasted no time in aiding the other spider-person , once everyone was out of the way they took the time quickly to assess the situation, the dust settling.. It was quiet now. But their spider senses told them otherwise, in an instant the trio ducked down as a large piece of rubble broke the cloud of dust hurling right at them, Gwen stuck a web to it and quickly redirected it back at whoever their assailant was. This whole time she was thinking, ‘where the hell was miles?! Why wasn’t he helping?!’. That thought process being cut off as they saw the figure move out of the way, getting closer at top speeds.. That familiar red and black catching their eyes leaving them frozen in place, that figure froze as well , all four transfixed. Unblinking.
‘Oh no. No nonono please.’ A shared thought running through the three arachnids heads.
The figure suddenly twitched, cracking a bit as it sized down to a familiar visage, a familiar face, a soft smile and soft yellow eyes carved into their features. But it didn’t hold any warmth, those eyes had no life to them.
“Miles?..” Pavitr broke the silence.
“Hey guys, long time no see.” Miles said in an almost hollow voice
