Pre date shopping
Earlier in the day, Pavitr and Gayatri were shopping together.
“It’s a bit early for shopping, no?” He rubs his eyes, glancing over to the shorter girl.
“Not my fault you chose to have a date so early.” She shrugs, looking around the store.
“Date? What? Okay what does any of this have to do with my whole thing with Miles?” He asks with a yawn. He was obviously tired, afterall Gayatri woke him up at 6 am so they could get ahead of traffic and head to the mall.
Honestly, he wasn’t even sure who let her into the house. His Aunt was still asleep and his Uncle was off to work. How did she get in? Nobody knows. But nonetheless, he was here now.
“Also, it’s not a date.” He adds on, sipping the coffee he begged Gayatri to let him get on their way to the mall. The shorter girl rolls her eyes and walks into another store.
“It totally is.” She tosses into the air, waving her hand while rolling her eyes yet again.
“Whatever..” Pavitr yawns, taking another sip of his coffee, he walks behind her sluggishly.
“You have to give him a gift, to show you’ve been thinking about him.” She instructs, looking at all the stuffed animals.
“It’s probably one of the easiest ways to win someone over.” She adds, picking up a small stuffed animal and pointing.
“This is no good, unless it’s a combo with flowers and chocolates. Just a small stuffed animal when you’re just starting to attempt to win someone over is no good! You have to do that kinda stuff later on into the relationship.” She puts the small bear back, patting its head and walking over to the section with bigger bears.
“Gayatri, he’s a very simple guy Im sure h-“ Pavitr starts, only to get cut off by Gayatri once more.
“Excuse me!” She calls out to a worker. The young woman walks over to them.
“How can I assist you?” The worker asks
“This teddy bear.” Gayatri points to a big black and brown bear. The stitching was perfect and it had a red and glittery bow tie.
“How much?” She asks.
The worker looks up.
“Oh that one’s a hit. Should be around two thousand four hundred ninety-four rupees and 71 paisas.” She informs.
Pavitr stares in disbelief as Gayatri pulls out her wallet.
No way was she actually going to get that bear JUST so Pavitr could impress his crush.
“Here you go.” Gayatri gives the worker the money while their co worker climbs up to grab the bear.
“Oh goodness.” He mutters as he notices the size of the bear.
“That teddy is the same height as me.” He turns to Gayatri, clearly shocked by the size of the bear.
“That makes it even better! When he hugs it he’ll think of you!” Gayatri smiles, patting Pavitrs back and tossing the bear over to him.
He accepts his defeat and walks out of the store with her, holding the bear in a way where he could peek over its shoulder so he could see.
“Okay! You got your gift, time to go to your daaaaate~” Gayatri chirps out.
Pavitr simply rolls his eyes as they keep walking together.
This time, he didn’t deny the possibility of it being a date.
