Skurge

I still had a hard time wrapping my head around it. I got to meet my father, beat the literal shit out of him and kill him. Two months ago I would have celebrated that he was dead, now... I don't know. He wasn't the evil man that I had grown up hearing about. He was an idiot for sure but in the end... the bastard is dead.

We still had the big bitch to take out. And I highly doubt Hela travelled alone. And I know that Hela would not be that stupid. Loki and I left over Volstagg's dead body to the guards and we left the market square. Loki had gotten daggers from somewhere and was ready for a fight.
"Loki... did you know he was still alive?" I asked. Loki looked at me, right into my eyes.
"No. Not until it was too late. I went to see if I could break the men of Asgard out and I saw him. I sent my fake self towards him and continued my mission. I had full intentions of killing him before you ever found out but you could imagine my surprise when I saw you fighting him," Loki took my hand in his.
"I can't believe Hela would do that. Did she do that on purpose because she knew I was going to come back at some point or has he always been alive?"
"Why don't we go ask her?" Loki smiled. Loki then ordered everyone to find shelter.

"I have every intention of doing so" I gripped Loki's hand "Thank you for saving me," Loki stopped walking for a moment and pulled me into his arms "Loki!"
"My darling... I couldn't let the oaf kill you. I plan on spending forever annoying you and he was in the way," Loki quickly kissed me. And I melted into his touch.
"We need to get back to the market square," I mumbled against his lips.

We were just about to head off when we heard a loud cough behind us.
"Were you really going to ignore me?" a rough voice called out to us. I felt my heart go into my throat. I didn't like the sound of that. Both Loki and I froze in our tracks. Slowly, we turned around "And just where are you two off to?"
"Skurge..."
"Hello, Aurora," Skurge seemed strangely level-headed for being in my presence. He's working an angle. He always is. He was also with a blonde.
"And who is this bimbo?"
"This is Sylvie. Like what you were to Hela. This one is my princess of the realm" Skurge introduced the bimbo. Loki's face drained of colour. I made sure to stay in front of him.
"Whatever. She can have the title," I rolled my eyes, turning back to Skurge "So, Long time, no see. Can't say that I have missed our little conversations,"
"Aurora, always a delight. Believe it or not, I actually missed you." Skurge smiled.
"What do you want, Skurge?" I snapped, wanting to cut to the chase, "I am in no mood for pleasantries. I have a realm to liberate,"
"So I've noticed," he nodded, picking up the blood on my hands. He had a small smirk "I see you finally got what you always wanted. Such a shame Volstagg had to die. You shouldn't have had to do that. Saying that... He would have died at some point. Once he was of no use to Hela,"
"I killed him out of mercy," I really wasn't feeling chatty, let alone with Skurge "What Hela died to him was wrong. and you know it," Skurge let out a heavy sigh.
"I liked Volstagg. It's a shame that he turned out to be the biggest piece of shit ever," Skruge shrugged.
"You lied about the man. You know that he didn't rape my mother," I clenched my fists.
"I did. Hela wanted us to lie to you. She hoped that you wouldn't find out the truth and would be her dainty little princess," Skruge mocked.
"Well I am sorry to disappoint you," I then look at Sylvie. She was glancing at Volstagg's blood on the floor "And you're staring at what?"
"I'm impressed," she applauded, "You managed to take out an incredibly powerful fighter. Did you do that all by yourself?"
"I had a little help from my family," I confessed. Skurge looked a little confused "My true family"
"It's still an impressive feat," Sylvie went on, taking a glance at Loki behind me. The dirty grin across her face was a bit unsettling, "Hello, Loki." Loki couldn't even make eye contact with her. And out of nowhere, his cheeks started turning a bright shade of red. I could hear his heartbeat spike. I may not have been around for long, but with my enhanced senses, I've learned to pick up on when someone was suddenly feeling guilty.
"Loki..." I cranked my neck back, a tad confused, "Care to share with me?"
"Not particularly," Loki's voice cracked. He couldn't look me in the eye. Sylvie started giggling to herself.
"Loki?" I pulled him aside, "Is there something you want to tell me?"
"It was just once. A pure moment of weakness," Loki hung his head in shame. And I started to put the pieces together... The icky and disturbing pieces.
"Erugh," I gagged as I glanced at Sylvie "Really? You slept with her?!" I squeaked.
"He didn't seem to complain," Sylvie remarked. I gagged again. Loki looked away in embarrassment. I rolled my eyes. We shall be discussing this later.
"Did you ever think the wife would meet the ex?" Skruge chuckled loudly.
"Do not start Skurge," Loki warned.
"You know, Aurora, it's amazing what makes a man so complacent." Sylvie smirked "We should've taught you that power while we still had you. The chance to seduce anyone you wanted,"
"I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disgusted. Or disappointed in someone's lack of willpower" But I had a feeling the bitch got in his head. Simillar to what Hela did. She manipulated him when he was at his weakest. Fucking bitch. I then smirked as I formed a plan in my head. I waved my fingers in the air and a giant ice spike appeared in front of Sylvie, piercing her head. I laughed as I watched the blood freeze on the ice as the light in her eyes faded away "I did not think that was going to work," If I am being honest, I was aiming for Skurge. Sylvie looked like a piss of cake to fight.
"That wasn't necessary," Skurge gagged. I looked around and saw some stragglers. If my powers got any more crazy then people would get hurt. That cannot happen. I told Loki that when it came down to fighting Skurge, just help the people get away. He reluctantly agreed.
"It beats me throwing a perfectly good dagger between her eyes," Loki mumbled behind her.
"No, you already penetrated her once," I mumbled. Loki blushed and took a step back. Why are men such pain in the arses?
"That was just nasty," Skurge took a seat on a nearby bench "Why don't you come and sit? chat for a moment, Aurora?"
"Let's talk just long enough for Hela and probably Morbius to tear my godfathers apart. Nice distraction tactic, Skurge. You're the executioner. You should be fighting and we have chatted enough,"
"Why do you want to go after Hela, Aurora? She gave you everything you could have wanted. A roof over your head. Food in your stomach and a home to call your own. She even offered you a seat on her court. That doesn't happen often,"
"She wanted another puppet,"
"She gave you everything you wanted and you backstabbed her when you sided with a Calland,"
"And I would do it again in a heartbeat," I smirked "And I hardly sided with a Calland when I killed the last male of the family. Hela's just pissed because I sided with her brothers,"
"The Calland family was nothing fucking idiots. Not to mention, some of them were... Well, let's just say they were more brawn than brains."
"You should see our library," I sat back, "I wouldn't go writing off their intelligence quite yet."
"Why would you fight for humanity? They'll never truly accept you as one of their own. You're half Frost Gaint. Humanity doesn't want you."
"Someone has to stand up against monsters like you. Someone has to fight for those that cannot fight,"
"Are you sure you are fighting on the winning side?"
"I couldn't be more sure," I stood my ground. I wanted nothing more than to rip his heart out. To shove his hedonistic tongue down her throat.
"Well then," Skurge rose to her feet, getting in a quick, cheap shot on me. Knocking me back with his giant axe, "It looks like this is where we make our stand. Because I'm not letting you get to Hela. That's not happening."
"I am going to make you eat those words," I yelled.

And so, I started to fight Skurge in the alley. This wasn't like when I fought Volstagg. This was more like when I would go toe to toe with Thor and Fandral. I guess that's why Hela resurrected Volstagg. So I would be knackered when it came down to another fight. Dirty fucking trick. He was dangled in front of me like catnip. And sure as shit, I took the fucking bait. Loki couldn't help. This wasn't his fight. He was still trying to lead the people of Asgard away. Each time I got his eye, he looked terrified. Deep down, so was I.

After using my banshee scream a few dozen times, I started to get a sore throat. Loki had joined the fight once he knew the area was cleared but he got knocked into a building and was out cold. And with one last good hit, Skurge managed to get me on the ground. I was flat on my back, out of breath. And Skurge had me right where he wanted me. Loki wouldn't make it to me on time. I had to face my death like an adult.
"Well, Aurora," Skurge sighed, Holding his axe above his head "It's a shame things had to come to this. But Hela did say to bring you to her feet. She never said it had to be alive." As Skruge went to bring his axe down, a large bolder smashed into his head, forcing him to the ground.
"What the hell?" Skurge stared at the blood on his hands. Taking advantage of the perfectly timed rock, I shot an ice beam at Skurge's hands, freezing them. I look around to see Sif standing on a wall, tossing another rock.
"Thank you, Sif," I caught my breath. Loki climbed out of the rubble. He looked a little bruised but at least he was alive "I greatly appreciate it." Sif gave me a nod as she jumped off the wall.
"Interesting," Skurge got back up.
"What?" I scoffed.
"I'm not talking about you," Skurge shot a glance to my left, "I'm talking about Sif. Are you sure you want to be fighting so hard? A woman in your condition?" I could see it all over Sif's face. Skurge knew something that he shouldn't. I looked at Loki and he nodded, glancing at Sif's stomach. Sif went to to throw another rock but Loki put his hand in the way.
"Her condition isn't any of your concern." Loki spat, His arm reaching out in front of him. Slowly, the ice from Skurge's hands crept up the rest of his body.

And once Skurge was solid ice, Sif nearly collapsed. Fortunately, I caught her before she could hit the ground. Loki broke Skurge into several pieces
"Well it was ice to see him again" Loki joked. But I ignored him. It was a good joke but Sif took priority.
"Are you ok, Sif?" I checked her over, she had a few wounds but was overall okay.
"I'm fine," she assured me, "You need to get to the square. Thor and Fandral are doing their best against Hela and then he turns up"
"Morbius," I figured. That fucking bastard.
"We should go." Loki insisted.
"Loki... go scout out the market square. Do not let anyone see you," I ordered. Loki started running off to the square. However, I stopped Sif for a brief moment. Loki stopped running at glanced at us both.
"The market is this way," Loki pointed. I held up one finger.
"One minute..." I then turn to Sif "Hold on you,"
"Aurora? Is everything alright?" Sif frowned in confusion. I shut my eyes and listened closely, following up on a theory. I spotted Loki walking back to us.
*Thud* *Thud*
"How long have you known?"
"Known what?" Sif jumped on the defensive "I don't-"
"Sif..." I cut her off, "You seem to forget what I am. And that I have enhanced senses. Particularly my hearing,"
"What about it?" Sif whispered.
"I can hear a little heart that sounds like a hummingbird. So, I'll ask you again. How long have you known?"
"About a week," Sif came clean, her hand going to her stomach, "Maybe two."
"Congratulations," I threw my arms around her "How did Loki find out?"
"I found Sif throwing up in the woods. I put two and two together and asked her. When she replied, I have no idea, I used my magic and detected a little... thing in there," Loki pointed to Sif's stomach.
"Have you told Thor yet?" I asked. Loki said that it wasn't his place to tell.
"I need to find a good way to tell him. Hopefully, I'll be able to tell him after this mess is over."
"Stick around for the end then," I demanded.
"That was the plan," Sif smiled, "Come on. Things are getting worse in the square and you know how Thor and Fandral get when we leave them alone for too long." I wasn't going to argue with her on that one. Thor and Fandral will end up covered in the other's blood in one way or another by the time one of us comes back with no explanation as to how it happened. At least Sif's had practice looking after babies. Those two are worse than five-year-olds.

Just like that, we headed toward the square. I didn't know what the place looked like when I first arrived with Hela. I was half asleep. The square was on fire. And stood in the middle was her. Hela looked over at me and I stared that bitch right in her bright green eyes. Fandral and Thor are in a heap on the floor, clutching at their ribs.
"I am going to enjoy killing you,"
