Chapter 1
As she scrolled through her phone, Toni asked Sweetpea, “Why aren't you excited? It's our first day at Riverdale High.” Sweetpea replied grumpily, “What is there to be excited about when it's just a group of wealthy kids whose parents have spoiled them?” “Oh, I see where you're coming from, my dear Sweetpea, but let me tell you, at this school we're headed to, the sky's the limit when it comes to learning! And, if that's not enough to convince you, get this, they've got an AMAZING football team that's sure to knock your socks off!” Toni exclaimed, waggling her eyebrows and giving Sweetpea a playful nudge. “Trust me, we're in for one heck of a ride!”
------------
“Hey there! It's me, the one and only Cheryl Blossom! You know, the gal who's got the sassiest attitude and the fiercest moves on the cheerleading squad. That's right, I'm the HBIC (Head B*tch in charge) and leader of the one and only cheerleading group at this school, the Vixens.
Listen up, folks, because I've got something important to say: No way, no how, will I ever let a serpent slither their way into MY school! Uh-uh, not happening on my watch. I'm the queen bee around here, and I won't let anyone mess with my turf.
So if you want to join the cool crowd and be part of the best cheerleading team in town, you better get in line and follow my lead. Because when it comes to ruling this school, there's only one name you need to remember: Cheryl. Blossom.” With a flick of the switch, Cheryl silenced the microphone and put an end to the morning announcement madness! No more boring updates or tedious reminders – she had the power to cut them off and bring an end to the monotony. As the echoes of her voice faded away, the students erupted into cheers and applause. Cheryl couldn't help but smile, knowing that she had just made everyone's day a little brighter.
Cheryl and her vixens were chilling at the student lounge, waiting for the first class to begin. The air was filled with excitement, as they discussed the latest gossip and shared their weekend adventures. They were having a blast, until suddenly, the principal's voice boomed through the loudspeaker, summoning Cheryl to his office.
“Ooh, Principal Weatherbee, what's got your feathers all ruffled up?” Cheryl asked with a playful smirk.
The principal's face turned red with anger. “Did you even realize what you just did?” he exclaimed.
Cheryl rolled her eyes. “Uh, nope, and honestly, I was kinda busy doing something way more important than listening to your lecture,” she retorted with a hint of sarcasm.
“Whoa, hold up there, Mr. Serious! Can you give me a hint? Did I accidentally set off a fire alarm or something?” Cheryl joked, knowing she was pushing the principal's buttons.
Oooh, looks like someone's got a case of the Cheryl-itis! The principal was rubbing his temples and muttering to himself, “Cheryl, Cheryl, Cheryl… you really went and did it this time. You went and told the whole school that you won't let those slithery serpents stay here. But who gave you the keys to the kingdom, huh?” He slowly rose from his seat, bald head gleaming in the fluorescent light. Looks like he's ready to give Cheryl a piece of his mind… and maybe some hair care tips while he's at it!
As Cheryl was about to respond to the short principal, the screeching sound of bike brakes pierced through the office like a high-pitched symphony. “Oh my, would you listen to that? That's the signature entrance of the rowdy Southsiders gang, rolling into my school like a thunderstorm! I don't know if I can handle all that noise and still concentrate,” Cheryl exclaimed while dramatically clutching her head like a damsel in distress.
“And Mr. Principal, don't worry about that shiny dome of yours! I happen to know a dude who can help you get rid of that baldness in a jiffy,” Cheryl chirps as she struts out of the office with a smirk. “You'll be looking like a luscious lion in no time!”
