Chapter 2
“Welcome to Riverdale High,” greeted the raven-haired girl as she approached the new students with a warm smile. “I have set up a table here to help you navigate your way around our school.” As the girl was about to continue her speech, she was unexpectedly interrupted by none other than the prominent Cheryl Blossom.

“Well, well, well, if it isn't the notorious Southsider thugs invading my school!” Cheryl exclaimed as she sashayed down the hallway towards the Serpents, accompanied by her trusty Vixens.
She couldn't help but smirk as she eyed the leather jackets and tattoos on the gang members. They may have thought they were tough, but Cheryl was ready to put them in their place.
With a flick of her perfectly styled hair, she approached the serpents. “What brings you to our humble abode, boys? Looking to cause some trouble?” she asked, a hint of mischief in her voice.
The Serpents may have had a reputation for being tough, but Cheryl was not one to back down from a challenge. With her squad of fierce Vixens at her side, she was ready to take on anything the Southsiders could throw at her.
“Don't you fellas have to move over to the south side and puff and inhale like the habitual smokers you are?” Cheryl chuckled as she and her vixens giggled to themselves.
“Hey, don't be shy! Why don't you come on up and tell me to my face?” exclaimed the spunky, pink-haired girl as she boldly stepped forward. Of course, Cheryl wasn't about to back down so easily. She snapped back with a sarcastic comment, “Happy queen of the buskers.”
The short girl wasn't bothered by it. She stood tall and replied, “Hey, I'll take that title any day over being a cowardly name-caller.”
Things were getting juicy like a ripe watermelon as the two girls eyed each other with fierce gazes. But just before the claws could come out, the raven-haired hero, like a majestic bird of prey. “Hey, hey, hold your horses, ladies! Did I forget to mention that you'll be sharing a room together?” she exclaimed with a chuckle, trying to defuse the tension while awkwardly laughing.
—-----------------------
“Uh-uh, no way, Jose! I Cheryl Blossom ain't bunkin' with no slithery snake,” exclaimed Cheryl, flaring up like a firecracker as she addressed the principal. She had zero tolerance for sharing her personal space with sneaky slugs.
“Looks like someone has beef with the roomies. Maybe it's time to try your own medicine and shack up with one of them. And let's not forget, you're the one who scared away your cousin Betty with your shenanigans.” The principal retorted, dripping with sarcasm like syrup on pancakes.
“Oh goodness gracious!” exclaimed Cheryl with an exasperated sigh, as she stormed out of the office like a raging bull. She was fuming like a steam engine on a hot summer's day, ready to blow off some serious steam. Her Vixens could practically see smoke coming out of her ears as she stomped away in a huff. It was as if someone flipped the switch on her patience meter, and it short-circuited! “Oh well, better stay out of her way before she turns into a tornado and sweeps us all up in her fury!” The vixens mumbled to themselves.

Jughead Toni's boyfriend, inquired via the wireless device, “Yo, how's the first day treating you at Riverdale, my friend?” His words dripped with curiosity and playfulness, as if he anticipated a juicy tale filled with adventure and intrigue.
“Oh, Jughead, my first day at Riverdale has been quite an adventure!” Toni exclaimed, through the phone, in an overly dramatic tone. “I've befriended a girl named Veronica, and got into an argument with Cherly. It's been an absolute rollercoaster, but it's been fun!”
Jughead chuckled on the other end of the line, “I expect nothing less from you, babe. Riverdale High is still the same as before I left. The only way to keep Cheryl happy is to ignore her; she just craves attention, and she'll never let you go once u stand up to her. Good luck living with her, I know it will be no picnic”.
Toni sighed in defeat, knowing he was right. She thanked Jughead for his advice and hung up, feeling more prepared for the challenge she was about to face.
Just as she ended the call, Cherly entered their shared room, looking around to see that the other girl has already settled in. “Well, since sharing a room isn't avoidable, there are some rules that you should know,” Cheryl said as she stepped in front of the serpent bed. “Rules of being roommates include keeping the area tidy, respecting each other's privacy, and refraining from making too much noise. Understood?”. “Yea, and it looks like we started on the wrong foot. But hey, Let's hit the reset button and give it another go. What do you say?” Toni chirped, flashing a friendly smile and extending her hand for a handshake like a true champ. With her palm outstretched, she waited eagerly for Cheryl to grab hold and seal the deal on their brand-new friendship.
“Oh, no way! I wouldn't be caught dead hanging out with a greasy person, let alone give 'em a handshake,” exclaimed Cherly, scrunching up her nose in disgust. “I mean, have you seen the amount of oil on your face? It's like you're auditioning for a role in a deep-frying commercial!” She shuddered at the thought of touching her hand and having its oily residue rub off on her. “No, thank you. I'll stick to my non-greasy squad.”
“Okay, hold on, Miss Bombshell!” Toni exclaimed, rolling her eyes with a playful grin. “I was just trying to be friendly, considering we're bunk buddies for the rest of the year. But no worries, you didn't have to bite my head off! A simple 'no, thanks' would have sufficed, you know.” Toni pouted playfully, pretending to wipe away a tear from her eye. “Don't be so mean, Let's try to make this dorm room the most comfortable place on campus!”
“Woah, hold your horses there, cowboy! Ain't no way in the world I'm willing to be your friend, so just stop trying and cease with that creepy stare and the nicknames, okay?” exclaimed Cheryl with a sassy flick of her hair as she strutted out of the room like a boss headed to the throne (aka the bathroom).

Since, Cherly is what you might call a “closeted lesbian”—which means she's keeping her romantic preferences on the down low. But that doesn't stop her from getting crushes on the most unexpected girl. It is hard for Cheryl to pinpoint why she is attracted to the pink-haired girl. Perhaps it has something to do with her standing up to her and no one else has ever done that before in such a way that it turned her on a bit, or maybe it is just because of how Toni looked at her in such a way that made her feel so attracted to her. But for Cheryl, it is a natural thing to have a small crush on someone. In the end, it's just a silly affection, isn't it? What could possibly go wrong?
