Chapter 6

**Chapter 6: Fireworks at the Stark Expo**

Tony had finally made it to the Stark Expo, and he was greeted by the sight of Hammer drones.

"What the hell?" Tony thought as he looked at the drones.

"Oh yeah, I should have mentioned the Hammer drones. Justin Hammer had hired Ivan Vanko to consult for him, and now they are making their own suits," Jarvis replied. But that wasn't all; Tony avoided a missile from a black and silver-looking Iron Man suit with a railgun on the back. Its faceplate lifted up to reveal James Rhodes.

"Wasn't expecting this, were you, Tony? Hammer and Vanko decided I will be the test pilot for the new Hammer Industries War Machine suit and leader of the Hammer drones. Got to say, Hammer getting Stark proprietary tech is good for the military," Rhodes said.

"Rhodey, what the hell has gotten into you? Why would you agree to this? You was a friend of mine; why would you agree to become a test pilot? And you know damn well I'm not letting some idiot like Hammer take credit for MY father's tech," Tony demanded.

"Well, it's not like there's any proof you're the one creating these suits. You're just a mutant," Rhodes said.

"No wonder your mother disowned you," Tony replied.

"Fuck you because of you, you ugly mutant, I have lost my family; I can't believe my own mother cares for a freak like you," Rhodes said.

"Well, I'm gonna give you an ass-whooping. The one your mom should have given you," Tony replied.

"Come and try it, you filthy mutie," Rhodes said.

"You asked for it," Tony replied as he made his suit's hand turn into an energy blaster and blew Rhodes' War Machine suit, making it break. Tony walked up to Rhodes and punched him in the head, knocking him out. Tony then looked at the Hammer drones.

"Jarvis, I'm gonna take care of them," Tony ordered.

"Yes, sir," Jarvis replied. Tony then flew after the Hammer drones, blowing them up. Meanwhile, Hammer and Natasha were watching the fight.

"What the hell? My drones are not powerful enough," Hammer said.

"I told you to make something else and not copy Stark's tech," Romanoff said.

"Fuck it," Hammer said as he pulled out a gun and aimed it at Romanoff.

"You've outlived your usability," Hammer said as he was about to shoot; he was tazed as Natasha shot him with the Widow Bites. She then went to Vanko, who was about to suit up, and killed him, getting the arc reactor and Hammer Weaponized War Machine suit specs and left. It was designed specifically for Rhodes, and since Tony wasn't gonna join the Avengers Initiative, they can use this to convince the power-hungry Rhodes.

Back with Tony. He was busy destroying the rest of the Hammer drones. After he was done, he returned to his house and saw the news. They were calling him a superhero. They had lost trust in the Senate and Hammer Industries, who were Anti-Mutant and whose drones attacked the populace. Tony smiled as he saw people beginning to accept him as a hero despite being a mutant.

"Sir, it seems Mr. Fury has backed off trying to get Iron Man. It seems Ms. Romanoff stole Vanko's War Machine specs, and they are focusing on James Rhodes. She took one of Vanko's arc reactors, sir."

"Damn. No matter; we will deal with them later. As long as they don't make a profit from it, we will leave. We will still monitor them, though. Plus, they won't even be able to improve the suit. Nobody there has enough intelligence; they can only make the trash Vanko made," Tony replied.
