Summary
Gwen Stacy has always had her eyes on Hobie. She was too focused on the sounds of crashing drums and Hobie’s loud but beautiful voice to notice anything else anyway. So when a boy that she’s never met before winks at her while singing (and rapping) songs that she has never heard before, and has never been into, she can’t help but be confused as to why her cheeks keep heating up. It must be hot in here, she tells herself. I mean there’s lots of people after all.
Note
Basically Miles was rapping Secrets by A boogie which is why it said "I can tell you're not a fan" And then Trust Issues by Drake, and Starboy by the Weekend. They all call him starboy because it's "his" most famous song. They're not Spider-People in this.I will finish "He's like me (I won't let him become like me)", and I've already started writing the next chapter, but I just got an idea to write this, so I did.

You should beware, beware, beware, of a woman with a broken heart.

When Miles walks out of the room in a rush, he steps into the front seat of his brother’s car.
Before he can even put his seat belt on, Milo slaps his head.

“Are you stupid? Do you know how hard it was to cover for you while you were gone? Why didn’t you tell mami you had a concert today?” Miles puts his bag underneath his feet to turn to his brother and hopefully slap him back.

“I-” He starts, but Margo quickly jumps up and leans in to interrupt him.

“He was too busy flirting with Hobie and Gwen~” She sing songs, laughing with Ganke again.

Milo’s eyebrows immediately fly up, and his head turns to Miles as much as possible while keeping his eyes on the road. “What.”

Miles turns to glare at Margo and Ganke before Milo can get the wrong impression. “For your information, I was not flirting with them. And they’re literally dating, how would that even work?”

Ganke smacks his lips and leans in, his cheek squishing with Margo’s and a shit-eating grin on his face. “Have you not heard of polyamorous relationships?”

Miles just ignores him. He had better things to worry about, like his new song. Plus, he wasn’t flirting with Gwen or Hobie. His mind wanders to Hobie putting his arm around his shoulder, and him not pushing him off. And then walking down the stage and winking at them. Twice. Wait, he wasn’t flirting. Right?  Gwen did insist on calling Hobie her boyfriend. Oh my gosh, they probably think he’s a home-wrecker. Miles bangs his head on the window again, closing his eyes. This was so bad.

* * *

Miles is sitting on his bed, trying to finish writing his new song “Beware”. A small clip of it was leaked on youtube and now all his fans just want the rest. He wasn’t even sure whether or not he wanted to post it, and while he could just change his mind, everyone’s expecting something, so he can’t just quit.

He grabs his sketchbook, quickly sketches an outline of himself and writes expectations over it. He stares for a bit and sighs, ripping it in two. He’s about to check his phone when his door opens. He groans and stands up, looking up at his twin, who’s narrowing his eyes at him.

“At least close the door”. Milo does not close the door. Miles is about to push him out of the room when he notices Milo’s clothes.

“Why are you matching with me?” He’s wearing the purple version of Miles’ hoodie, and the same baggy black pants.

Milo looks him up and down and scoffs “yeah right, you copied me.” Miles rolls back into bed and pulls his phone up. He kind of hates that he’s been waiting for one of them to text his number this entire time. It’s been hours already, and he hasn’t gotten a single text.

“Get out of my room.” he says to his brother, who instead of listening, kicks the door closed (Thank god) and sits on his bed.

“You know I don’t care if you like that Hobie guy or Gwen girl right? I was just surprised. You haven’t liked anyone since.. Keon.”
Miles notes the way Milo hesitates to say his name. He kind of hates it, but understands. Miles has been in many relationships before but Keon’s the only one who’s lasted. But he hurt him, really, really bad. And Miles is never getting over it, and he’s never getting over him. It’s not his fault really, he’s tried, but he can’t. His alleyway is filled with important people, graffitied on the wall. Keon in the center. Half of his songs are about him too. Miles still loves Keon. There was no changing that.

“I don’t like them.” His phone pings with an unknown number’s notification. That could be Hobie or Gwen! Miles tries not to look twice at his phone or Milo will notice.

“Stop denying it. I won’t judge you for being a home-wrecker.”

Miles stands up to face his brother, narrowing his eyes at him. “I’m not a home-wrecker, and I’m not in denial. Denial is pretending you don’t like Ganke when you know he likes you.”

Milo does an obvious double take, his eyes wide. “¡Qué!” he yells.

Miles’ eyes widen and he awkwardly scratches the back of his neck “Oh.. you did not know..” he says sheepishly. Ganke was going to Kill him. But it wasn’t his fault right? Everybody would assume he knew. They were so obvious.

“He WHAT?” Milo fumbles out of Miles’ room, grabbing his keys. Miles shuts the door and lunges for his phone. He jumps up and down and quickly stops himself, realizing how weird that must’ve been.

Unknown - Hey love, it’s Hobie Brown. This is Miles right?

He has a girlfriend. He has a girlfriend. Miles mumbles to himself, while typing.

Miles - Yeah, it is! Thanks for coming to my concert. Sorry we didn’t get to talk for long, my parents needed to know where I was.

Hobie - That’s fine love. When can we hang out then?

“What?!” Miles accidentally says, out loud.

“Miles, ¿está todo bien?” he hears his mom yell.

“Yes Mamà!” He says back, and quickly reaches for his phone again. Shoot, he left him on read.

Miles - Sorry. When are you free?

Hobie - Anytime.

Miles - Well, I’m recording a song with Margo in a few minutes. You can come if you’d like.

Hobie - That sounds cool, send me the address. Mind if I bring Gwen too?

Miles thinks back to him winking at Gwen after the concert. She doesn’t seem to like Miles too much. Still, if Hobie wants to invite his pretty girlfriend, he should get to, right? Wait, did he just call her pretty?

Miles - Yeah of course.

Hobie - Alright then, see you.. at what time?

Miles checks his messages with Margo and reads the time she sent him. He’s probably going to be late.

Miles - 7:30. You can come later though, it’s kind of soon.

Hobie - That’s fine Mate. We’ll be there.

Miles drops his phone to the side and walks into his closet. He needed to change, his current outfit reminded him too much of his brother. He changes into a graphic t-shirt labeled “Starboy”, in glitchy like letters. Would it be weird to wear his own merch? Whatever, he liked the shirt. He grabs shorts, so baggy they almost flare out and stop at his knees, Jordan 4’s, a chain labeled “Morales” and his headphones. He switches his star earrings out for regular silver round ones and styles his hair so that it slightly covers his face.

Ganke calls him a few times and leaves him angry voice messages, Miles leaves him on read. He could deal with it later. He’d rather let them get together first, it’d make things easier for him. He grabs his keys and loads up his car, placing the lyrics on the seat beside him.

When Miles gets to the studio, everybody’s already there. Margo narrows her eyes at him, but she gives him a hug and a kiss on the cheek anyway. Which is why he notices Gwen and Hobie. They don’t seem to have much of a reaction but then Miles sees Hobie clutch his bag a little harder and Gwen grits her teeth and oh- That was weird. Margo seems to notice as well because she chuckles nervously and backs away. “Okay, since Starboy is finally here” she glares at him “Let’s get started!”

Miles sits behind the mic and lets the music run through him.

Now look, it was not unknown that Miles had loved Keon. It was also not unknown that he still wasn’t over him, and probably never would be. Margo knows the song they’re about to record is about him. She also knows that her voice- the female voice represents Miles and Miles is rapping through Keon’s perspective. The only reason he’s using a female voice is because he’s not out to his fans yet. It’s not like a big secret or whatever, he just hasn’t thought of telling them. They also don’t know about Keon. Most people don’t. Ganke doesn’t even know. Margo knows of him briefly, she only knows he cheated on Miles and Miles hasn’t gotten over him.

When you said it was over…”

Miles’ eyes flicker over to Hobie and Gwen’s when he and Margo start singing. Their eyes widen but Hobie’s smirking. Miles fights the urge to melt. Gwen’s just staring. Her cheeks red. She’s so cute. whoa there Miles, her boyfriend’s right there.

“Last time calling me crazy, crazy, crazy..” Margo finishes. Gwen cheers and Miles smiles, wide. He steps out of the room and Hobie checks his phone.

“That was great, Starboy.” Gwen says, winking at him.

The fans had given him the name, based on his most famous and his first song ever. He hasn’t claimed it as his stage name nor does he necessarily like being called it, but he doesn’t hate it either. He’s never really thought twice about the name, which is why he should not be a blushing mess when a girl (WHO’S BOYFRIEND IS RIGHT BESIDE HER!) calls him it.

Hobie smirks at Gwen and starts putting his jacket on, Gwen doing the same.

Gracias.” Miles says unconsciously. Wait, that was spanish. He face palms and chuckles nervously. “Sorry, I meant thank you.”

“You speak Spanish?” Hobie says, head cocked to the side

He nods, and watches as Hobie slings his arm over his shoulder “That’s cool.”

Hobie thinks him speaking Spanish is cool. He doesn’t know it, but he just made Miles’ week.

Margo walks past them, kisses Miles’ cheek and gives him a small side hug. She waves at Gwen and Hobie and Miles’ cheeks heat up. He doesn’t like Margo, No way. But he’s still not used to her random kisses or hugs. Hobie takes his arm off of Miles’ shoulder and stiffens. He motions for Gwen to follow him to leave and forces a smile. “See ya Starboy” he says, and Gwen waves as well. That was weird.

Miles rolls his eyes at his phone buzzing. His brother has been calling him over and over again for the past five minutes, and he was sick of it. He answers the call, walking out of the studio and entering his car.

“Milo, if you don’t leave me alone-”

“Woah, calm down Mi.” A familiar voice answers. Miles checks the caller Id.

“Ke-..on.” He croaks out, the car door hitting his knee. He winces before turning his attention back to his phone.

“Yeah, I wanted to invite you to my party next week. You down?”

Miles stares at his phone incredulously. They haven’t talked in months. Miles would like to claim that he’d forgotten what his voice had sounded like but he can’t. He re-listens to his old voice messages almost every day. He’d also like to claim he wished Keon never called him but he can’t, because he wished he would literally every day. He doesn’t know why, but he cuts the calls, painting. Seriously? One call from his ex and he’s a mess? He wants to call him back, so bad, luckily (or unluckily) he receives a text from Gwen.

Unknown - Hey Miles, I had fun today. Sorry I didn’t add your number earlier, I was busy.

He’s about to answer when he gets a call. This time it actually is from his brother. Miles lets it ring a few times and reads his last messages.

Face thief - Miles, if you don’t get your ass home right now, I’m actually going to kill you.

Face thief - Miles, where are you?

Face thief - Yo, Dad and mami are worried.

Face thief - Miles? You good?

Face thief - Did Keon call you? He said you hung up on him. I didn’t answer.

Face thief - Miles you better not be freaking out because he called you.

Miles - Sorry, I was with Gwen and Hobie. Coming home now.

Face thief - So you’re not going to explain what happened with Keon?

Miles - There’s nothing to explain. See you later.

Face thief - Miles, you better not be ignoring me.

Face thief - Miles answer my calls

Face thief - When you get home, you’re dead.

He leans forward, hitting his head on his horn, letting out a loud honkkkkk. He needed to get home before he went insane.
