Chapter 9
X-Men: Evolution Revolution Season 02 Episode 04
We see the shadow of someone going around the mansion into different rooms with a pale hand reaching for the professor, then moving on to Jean. Kitty had gotten up after hearing sounds and thought she heard Scott making pained sounds so she went to investigate. Someone tried to com in so she phased through the wall to leave as they were coming inside. Kitty ran over to Scott's room trying to wake him up, but all that happened was that he'd rolled over to facing her limply making her even more worried until we see Rogue behind her and absorbing Kitty making her drop.
We then cut to an alarm going off with Kitty hitting the off switch before grabbing at her head while sitting up in bed. "Ow, my head. What a nightmare" before looking at the clock seeing the time and freaking.
She'd gotten dressed and was running off into Hunter's room shaking his shoulder as he'd just moved the pillow over his head grumbling "No." as he'd done so.
"C'mon everyone majorly overslept, let's go already." She'd told him trying to get him up despite his complaining and trying to get back to sleep. "Hey, it's the last day of school we gotta go now!" Kitty told him phasing through the blankets and pulling him up by his shoulder since he wasn't wearing a shirt just a pair of sweatpants.
"Ditch." He'd then stated pulling himself back down and trying to get back to sleep annoying her more.
"Get up already!" She'd called phasing the blanket so that she could pull it completely off of them.
"Fine, I'm up already." Hunter stated sitting up with a yawn and began to stretch out starting to wake up more.
This was the first time Kitty had seen him without a shirt as he'd always had one on whenever he'd leave his room. He had a more athletic build but wasn't overly muscular, and there was a noticeable scar on his right arm just below the joint that connects it to the shoulder, it looked like some sort of claw mark.
"I. Um. G-good, you need to get ready for school." She'd stuttered slightly after realizing that she had been staring at him and turned leaving.
Hunter had gotten cleaned up and dressed walking downstairs in jeans with a green colored sleeveless shirt on since it was supposed to get hot that day. "Dude what happened to you?" Bobby questioned seeing the scar on his arm.
"Got into a fight with a Sphinx, would have died had my mutant ability to teleport not kicked in when it did." He stated back bluntly with a shrug and leaving it at that.
Later on we see the students running out of the school building with Rogue trailing behind but she'd stopped when a vehicle pulled up and they opened the door with her then getting inside unnoticed by the others.
We go to later that night where Storm was watching the rain stating "Nothing I can't handle." before turning back towards Scott, Jean, and the Professor. "Don't worry, I won't let it rain on your parade tomorrow."
"Thanks Storm. I want it to be perfect when my family gets here tomorrow." Jean stated her worry about the graduation day.
"Have you given any thoughts to your futures, Jean I know you've been accepted into several universities." The Professor stated in while asking about their future plans.
"I considered studying medicine." She'd answered back about what she thought about for college. "Maybe going into genetics research."
After Storm left the window we see Rogue walking past it in a trans like state. The next day was finally time for graduation, but Kitty was looking around confused while next to Hunter and the other X-Men asking "Hey, has anyone seen Rogue? I haven't seen her since breakfast."
"No, I haven't. You'd think she'd actually be here right now." Hunter answered back before saying "Eye of the Dragon." and his eyes lit up a red color with him looking around the school area since they were in a top corning. "I don't see her, but we got trouble."
The principal that replaced Mystique had been giving a speech when people started whispering and gesturing as Magneto, his Acolytes, and the Brotherhood guys, had all come walking up onto the field. "Where is Rogue?" Magneto questioned with Hunter sliding down the guard railing as Scott and Jean had gotten up along with the professor, storm, and kitty, and they'd all gone over to see them.
"What's going on Magnus?" Professor Xavier questioned about their sudden appearance "Why have you come here?"
"The one called Rogue has been under Mesmero's control, she absorbed our powers and used Mesmero's to wipe our minds." The leader of the Acolytes stated to the X-Men's mentor figure.
"Ya, do you have any proof of that?" Cyclops questioned demanding some way to prove that was the case here.
"Yes, my surveillance cameras caught it all." He'd answered back showing them the feed of what happened the night before.
"Uh, guys. If Magneto was the only mutant who could stop the spider guardian, and Rogue isn't here after absorbing his powers. Where is she right now?" Hunter then pointed out to them about what they were doing.
"The Spider Guardian!" They'd all realized at once about just what she was going to do and began to rush to leave.
Hunter then whistled at everyone "I know where the guardian is." he'd then told them holding up his badge before gesturing to Jean and Scott "You two get your asses across that stage, you've earned it. Meet up with us after you've gotten your diplomas. Those that can fly follow me, those that can't hitch a ride on the Blackbird and the Velocity. Let's move it people! Kitty, with me." Hunter then stated coordinating everyone together and they'd started to race off.
"Uh, Principal Kelly, there's been an emergency, you think we can just grab our diplomas and go?" Scott then called to the Principal who nodded in response.
"The sooner this craziness is over the better." He'd agreed letting them jump to the front of the line and come get their diplomas. "Scott Summers, and Jean Grey." He'd called to them with the two then moving across the stage getting their diplomas with Jean's family taking pictures, and the two then took off the moment they'd gotten off the other side of the stage throwing their Graduation caps as they did so.
"This is Plumber Agent Hunter Long, beef up security for the Spider Guardian, but do NOT hurt the girl, she's under mind control." Hunter spoke into his badge before putting it away as they were running. "Kitty, hop on." He'd then called and she'd jumped onto his back as they were running "Dragon Up!"
Hunter then shifted into his Dragon form with Kitty holding on riding on his back and flew off into the air taking off with Magneto and Storm behind him. While he was leading the way the Velocity showed up along with the Blackbird and Hunter grabbed Magneto and Storm teleporting into the Velocity and reverting to human. "Alright, set the course." Scott stated to them.
"Setting now." Hunter responded and began doing just that with the Velocity then taking off to get to the spider.
"I've been trying to discover information but there's nothing that could help us." Beast stated to them still researching while on the way to the guardian stone.
"Try the extranet, it'll connect to everything both terrestrial and extra." Hunter stated continuing at the controls while Kitty and Storm had buckled in.
"Search En Sabah Nur, it's his true name." Magneto then added with Beast starting to do the new search.
"En Sabah Nur, regarded as a tyrant god king of Giza more than five thousand years ago. True resting place is unknown." Beast answered back finally getting a hit.
"I fear only Mesmero may know that information." Professor Xavier spoke about where to find his location.
"Maybe not." He'd stated to them and placed a call using the communications built into the Velocity.
"Canal Street Electronics, we never had a customer never made a sale." A dark haired woman around Storm's age spoke answering the call.
"Aunt Trixie, it's Hunter. I need you to put Fu Dog on the phone please." He'd then spoken and she'd passed it over with a wrinkly old dog getting on the phone surprising the others. "Yo Fu, what can you tell me about the burial place of one En Sabah Nur?"
The Dog began to stutter before questioning "W-what do you want there?" seeming that he'd known a thing or two about it.
"Answer the question, we must find it to ensure he is not released into the world once more!" Magneto yelled getting over the whole talking dog thing fairly quickly.
"Alright already, I can pass you that info." Fu Dog stated to them and began to send the information their way.
"Thanks Fu. Now we can go stomp this son of a bitch back into the ground where he belongs." Hunter then spoke thanking the talking canine.
"Be careful kid, if your family finds out I gave you that info and something bad happens I'mma have to go into the witness protection program." Fu answered back before cutting the feed.
