Chapter 10
X-Men: Evolution Revolution Season 02 Episode 05
Rogue had used her power to absorb the powers of the X-Men, the Brotherhood, and the Acolytes, and everyone was currently in pursuit as Hunter had gotten the information of where exactly to find the resting place of En Sabah Nur better known as the mutant called Apocalypse. They were close to the Spider Guardian's place but had seen debris from something bad happening finding that the Spider had already been taken.
"All survivors accounted for, no fatal injuries." A Scrawny Tetramand stated to them as they'd checked the debris.
"Good, but that means we gotta race to the final door and the resting place. Call in the Front Lines, and team Iron Man and tell them to follow the location of my badge." Hunter spoke and had gotten a nod by a female Kineceleran as he'd gotten back onto the Velocity.
Cutting to later they'd discovered the Location that Fu Dog had given them and Gambit had blown open the door. "You are too late, destiny has played it's hand." Mesmero told them standing at the opened doorway inside the tomb.
"Destiny says I shouldn't exist, my mom was a Dragon Slayer and My dad a Dragon. Destiny says one should have killed the other. Destiny can bite me. Dragon Up!" Hunter called out taking on his Dragon form once more and blasted fire at Mesmero as Scott blasted them with his optic blasts at the same time.
"Go, stop Rogue, we'll handle this creep!" Cyclops called out as they'd continued to blast them and the others had raced in to try to stop it from happening.
They were too late. Apocalypse had awakened and used a strange device that was like a ship of sorts to instantly teleport away from them taking Professor Xavier, Magneto, Mystique, and Storm all with him as he'd left.
Sometime later they'd woken up and began to leave discovering that the Mansion was gone but thankfully no one was hurt because they were all still at the graduation ceremony when it happened, then discovered the Brotherhood boarding house was gone too. Even the Acolyte HQ was gone. "Apocalypse really doesn't want us interfering. Fortunately I've got a spare base we can use in the mean time while we hunt for the others and En Sabah Nur."
"Now wait just a minute, who put you in charge?" Sabertooth questioned as Gambit got between them to try to de-escalate the situation.
"I put myself in charge, you got a problem with that?" Hunter then questioned staring them down without an ounce of fear.
"Elf's got spunk I'll give him that." Wolverine stated crossing his arms a little smug about watching him face off with Sabertooth.
"You so much as sneeze without my permission you'll live to regret it." Hunter then warned the larger mutant in front of him.
"That I'd like to Se" Sabertooth began to say but was cut off by Hunter slamming his fist into their face making them fall straight backwards onto the floor.
"One punch, Tch one Punch." Gambit began to laugh about Sabertooth being dropped so easily.
"Get him on his feet." He'd then spoke telling them to wake up Sabertooth and so Gambit smacked him across the face making him start to get up rubbing the side of his face.
"For the record." Sabertooth began to say spitting out a tooth canine tooth that had been knocked out by Hunter. "I let you do that, so what's the plan."
They'd taken the Velocity and the Blackbird somewhere that they could easily take off again if they needed to do so and began to try to find ways to track the signatures of Apocalypse and the others. Though they weren't having much luck, while this was going on the others were finding ways to blow off steam. Most of the X-Men guys were outside playing sports, and the Acolytes were in a game room shooting pool or playing darts.
The Brotherhood were also in there getting cleaned out by Gambit at a cards table as he was acting as dealer, and most of the ladies of the X-Men were soaking in a private hot spring relaxing. Logan had gone to check on Rogue after everything was happening while Hunter and Beast were continuing the search for anything they might be able to use.
"Hey Rogue, still not up to joining the others?" Logan questioned going over to where she was sitting in the window and she'd shaken her head no. "Listen, what happened out there wasn't your fault. I know I'm not your father, but I am your friend, and if you ever wanna talk about it just let me know and I'll be ready to listen."
That did make her feel a little better, and meanwhile the girls were gossiping while relaxing in the spring. "Oh come on, we all can see it. You and Scott are totally a thing." Kitty had spoken while looking over at Jean.
"I really don't know Kitty, I mean the friendship we have is special." Jean then stated back to her while sitting up against a warm stone while in the water.
"Girl, that guy's totally into you. You gotta pounce on that." Boom Boom then told Jean about her and Scott.
"Well what about Kitty and Hunter?" Amara questioned about Kitty's relationship changing the subject from Jean and Scott.
"Oh uh, it's going well I guess." Kitty answered awkwardly about her relationship rubbing her arm as she does so.
"You guess?" Boom Boom questioned hearing that while raising an eyebrow clearly wanting more information.
"Well, we've only been able to go on two dates because of all the craziness that's been happening. The first date was interrupted by the Cauldron Event awhile back though." She'd explained to them with a sigh.
"Well that's boring." Amara then stated about not being able to get any juicy information out of either of them.
"Good morning Angels." Hunter's voice could be heard coming from nearby which made all the girls turn towards it seeing an intercom device but no cameras around anywhere.
"Good morning Charlie." The girls all spoke at once in response into the intercom to show that they were listening.
"Meet us in the war room in five. We've found them." He'd told the girls before going to the other com systems that did have cameras and told the others to do the same.
Everyone had gotten changed into their gear and gone to see just what was happening with Jean questioning "Where are they?"
"I'm afraid it's a good news bad news situation." Hunter then stated showing them all what happened to those taken by Apocalypse. "From what we've discovered Apocalypse has used some sort of control chip to enhance their abilities and he's using them as his horsemen to protect four points."
"Observe." Hank spoke pulling up live feed of what's happening and we see that they were now riding upon flaming energy horses towards the points that each had a technologically advanced pyramid at it.
"We'll unleash a four fold strike coordinated with Iron Man and the Front Lines." Hunter told them saying that they had a way to stop them. "We'll need to take Iron Man to each of the four locations so he can tap the chips with his upgraded Extremis now that it works with Alien Technology. Starting with Magneto, his powers will give us the best chance while En Sabah Nur has merged with the technology of the Sphinx."
"What are we waiting for, let's go already." Kitty spoke saying that they needed to get going and now.
"We'll split off into different teams Iron Man will meet up at Magneto's pyramid first." Hunter told "The rest of us will split off into teams to hold off or defeat the Horsemen, we take them down not out understood?"
"Yes." everyone then spoke at once indicating that they'd understood the importance of the assignment at hand.
"Jean will go with Boom Boom, Amara, Quicksilver and Colossus." Hunter then told them about the first team to handle and they'd got on the first of the jets taking off.
"Next will be Berserker, Myself, Bobby, and Evan alongside Toad and Blob." Beast then stated saying that he would be taking up the next team. "Kitty, Sunspot, Havok, Angel and Avalanche will make up team three."
"Scott, Logan, Sabertooth, Gambit and I will make up the final team and head straight for the Sphinx to slow them down alongside the Front Lines members." Hunter then stated as Logan and Sabertooth gave each other unpleasant looks but still nodded in agreement ready to go and everyone took off in different vehicles to get to these four points.
We see the different teams all landing and stepping out ready to take down these things with everyone stretching and prepping their powers for the fights of their lives as the Horsemen stepped forwards to stand in their way. This wasn't going to be an easy fight, but soon they'd have a way to finally tip the odds into their own favor while Apocalypse watched on waiting to see the outcome of the fight with his Horsemen that was soon to unfold.
