Chapter 6
X-Men: Evolution Revolution Season 02 Episode 01
We see that the X-Men were having one seriously rough training session, though thankfully instead of live rounds they were being pelted with paint marks and all of them had been struck by them being overwhelmed by the drones. "I want to see all of you in the planning room now!" The Professor called out and once they'd gotten in there he questions "You rushed him, you think Magneto is going to simply stand around?"
"Professor, I"Magneto is always two steps ahead of you Scott. You'll never be able to take him by surprise unless there's something he can't account for!"" Scott began to explain but was cut off by Professor Xavier who warned them about not being able to surprise Magneto.
"Excuse me Professor but what is going on, you've never driven us this hard before. I get we need to be prepared but still." Cyclops questioned about why he's working them so hard.
"I had to see, I had to confirm my fears. None of you are ready to face Magneto." The Professor stated moving his chair so that he'd turn away from them.
"I disagree." Scott stated crossing his arms actually challenging Professor Xavier on the matter of if they could or not.
"Do you!?" He'd questioned turning his chair around to look them in the face. "You couldn't even take care of the brotherhood! As for you newer students, your inexperience will jeopardize the mission. I simply can't risk using you, as for the rest. I'm left to bolster your ranks, therefore I'd like you to welcome your new teammates."
We hear the lift opening up and the brotherhood group were now standing there "No way in hell." Scott stated bluntly seeing who they wanted them to work with.
"Look, I understand some of you may have personal feelings about this arrangement, but we face tremendous odds going against Magneto." The Professor then stated to them about having to do this. "And we will be a much stronger team with their help."
"Why are you guys volunteering for this anyway, you don't like us anymore than we like you!" Evan spoke up asking what they were getting out of it.
"Besides, from what I've seen you guys could use a new team leader." Lance stated walking over to stand in front of Scott.
"Ya, you want the job shakedown, you can have it! I'm done with this." Scott spoke shoving them out of his way and going over to the lift.
"Scott"No Jean, let him go. Time is of the essence, right now we must continue training while you continue your efforts on cerebro. If we find Wolverine, we find Magneto."" Jean began to call wanting to follow but was stopped by the professor.
We then see later that Jean had bein at cerebro again stating "I've picked up on Wolverine's healing powers."
"Good, gather the teams." The Professor told her and we then cut to the brotherhood climbing aboard the Blackbird and that Kitty was up front alongside a new teacher named Hank, Codenamed Beast who was at the controls as well.
Meanwhile The Professor went aboard the Velocity alongside his X-Men and taken a spot at the controls with the chair for that spot having been pushed back into a passenger's position. "Everything is ready professor, but what about Scott?"
"Scott still hasn't returned. We'll have to leave without him, time is of the essence." The Professor responded and they'd taken off after the Blackbird has already left.
We then see that Scott was sitting on his car parked atop a cliff overlooking the city in thought with a horn suddenly honking and a blond girl pulled up in a Jeep alongside one of the New Mutants group with the two running over to him.
"Scott, the mansion's gone totally nuts!" The dark haired girl called out about what was happening.
"It's locked up tight, and there's weapons firing off everywhere!" The blonde then added about what's happening right now.
"Huh?" He'd questioned and began to think "Defcon four." And we then cut to them in Scott's car racing back towards the mansion.
"Hey I don't know what happened, I was on my way to the mansion to talk to the Professor about Mystique." The Blonde girl, codenamed Boom Boom stated to them.
"Whoa, what about Mystique?" Scott then questioned them about what she was going to discuss.
"She's running the operations again for the Brotherhood." Boom Boom answered back about what's going on.
"This isn't adding up, Mystique's back but the Brotherhood is helping us? And now the institute suddenly goes into Defcon four, something is definitely very wrong here." He'd spoke back as they continued to race towards the mansion and he'd pulled up to a waterfall area taking his visor from the glove compartment of his car and swapping out his shades for it.
"Are you sure about this?" The girl named Amara, codenamed Magma questioned looking at the waterfall.
"Trust me, this is the only way in." Cyclops answered back about going in that way. "We'll have to go through the stone, Amara?"
"Okay, I can do this." The dark haired girl Amara responded and began to blast flames at the rock melting it little by little and letting it cool until she'd gotten completely through.
Scott led them up some stairs and they blasted the weapons systems guarding the room they'd gone into "Let's go." He'd told them running over to a computer. They'd found the others at the controls trying to get it to shut down and he'd tried as well seeing there was only about fifteen seconds left "C'mon, follow me!" He then called leading them to somewhere that could help shield them from the blast.
We the see that the Brotherhood and X-Men had managed to beat Magneto's new group but the ground suddenly started to shake violently with a hole being torn through it and they'd all fallen through.
Once they were down there something big had come their way revealed to be a large robot of sorts. "Oh great, what's this now?" Lance questioned seeing the large machine.
Something made the entire platform they were on move upwards until they were all back outside again with the robot ready to fight.
We then see some Plumbers coming in on a ship ordering "Stand down immediately." with all the Mutants putting their hands up and backing away from the machine trying to show that they were willing to comply. When the robot did not comply they'd shot at it using a weapon on the ship vaporizing it.
"We surrender!" Lance called out not wanting to be put in jail, or possibly even worse, the Null Void.
"Good, because you're gonna explain to me just what the hell is going on here!" Someone spoke before dropping down from the ship and then teleporting from mid air onto the ground.
"Hunter!" Kitty called out rushing over and throwing her arms around his neck glad to see him again after he'd been away for so long.
That was when they'd seen who it was and the ship then landed onto the ground as well with a group of Plumbers that looked familiar, A scrawny Tetramand guy with a Kineceleran woman and a guy who was made of living crystals in a humanoid shape.
"Must you always make an entrance?" The Kineceleran woman questioned as they'd moved closer to the group.
"Yes." Hunter answered bluntly looking over at them while having one arm over the small of Kitty's back. "Now, what exactly is going on here Lance?" He'd then questioned turning towards the group of mutants.
"Magneto has some new guys, we had to fight them but they and Magneto got away, along with Pietro. We fell into a big hole and that robot attacked us with the platform coming up and bringing us back outside." Lance answered back about what happened there exactly.
"Wolverine is still down there, we were tracking him with Cerebro and it brought us here." Jean stated to them about how they'd ended up there in the first place.
"Well then, let's go and get them." The guy made of living crystal spoke knocking down the platform with relative ease before the three had gone down there along with Hunter since he was a Plumber too.
That didn't actually take long and they'd managed to get everyone there, including the asshole who built that thing, into custody. We then cut back to the Velocity flying back to the mansion where the place had been destroyed from the explosion but Scott had walked over alongside the others who's clothes were damaged and he'd had a burn on his shoulder but otherwise they were all okay.
"Scott, what happened?" Jean questioned going over hugging him glad that they were all okay, however he'd taken her arms off of him and continued going towards the professor looking angry.
"It was you, you did this!" He'd spoken picking up the Professor and then throwing them onto the ground with Iceman and Spyke holding him back. Though they'd laughed and gotten up revealing that it was Mystique there, not the professor.
"You're right, I did, and things are about to get much worse." She'd stated with a smirk on her face.
