Chapter 5
X-Men: Evolution Revolution Season 01 Episode 05
It had been the weekend and everyone was off doing their own thing, well, almost everyone. Kitty had been with Hunter going to hit the beach riding on his Motorcycle with Kitty questioning "Hey can't you like, afford a hovercycle?"
"I can, but I prefer the classic bike instead." He'd explained back as they'd seen Blob and Toad there at the beach annoying them as he'd pulled the bike to a stop. "What do you two want?"
"Us, we're here to prove ourselves!" Fried spoke jumping onto them with Kitty Phasing through them and they'd started fighting against them with Hunter teleporting behind Toad and knocking him out with ease.
Blob however, was slightly more of an issue as the fat around his neck had been too thick to strike at and knock him out and he'd turned striking at him knocking him into some cliffside stones as Kitty tried to run over but he'd belly flopped onto her. She'd been able to phase through but says "Ugh, Blob oh I like totally need a shower now." before falling backwards onto the beach sand.
"This fight's over, and here comes the prize." Blob stated gesturing to two spheres coming down that sent tendrils out to grab Hunter and Blob.
We then cut to where the Spheres had taken them with a man in red armor speaking with Professor Xavier. "Magnus you're wrong. The Humans are already accepting of aliens, mutates, and metahumans, Mutants will be no different."
"You're an idealist Charles, I am a realist. We must be prepared for the worst that this world has to offer, and to that end I have created Asteroid M." The Man in armor, Magnus, answered back to the Professor. "Those that prove themselves will be welcomed here to prepare for that end."
"And what about those that refuse?" Charles questioned about just what they'd be doing with those that aren't willing to follow his lead.
"A certain amount of persuasion must be required on occasion in order to realize salvation." He'd answered back gesturing to the spheres that had Jean, Storm, and Hunter in them. "But for every unbeliever, there is a new convert." He then opened up a door revealing Scott and a blond guy with him.
"Scott, I.. I don't understand." The Professor spoke with a worried tone using his chair to turn around and look at him.
"Professor wait, we're just here to listen that's all." Scott answered back about what they were there for.
"What about them, are they here to listen as well?" The Professor asked while gesturing to the pods beside them as they could see Jean and Storm trying to break free but they couldn't hear what they were saying. Hunter meanwhile was checking out the pod calmly.
"Hey, what is this!?" Scott then questioned looking over at them angry that they had their friends like that.
"Simply a precaution Scott. We can't hear them, but they can hear us. Not everyone has the maturity to accept the need for change as you do. They are perfectly safe." Magneto answered answered back about them being in the pods.
'Are they safe, I know this man well, he's bitter his motives Are' Professor Xavier used his telepathy to speak with Scott but Magneto used his powers to shove him into the pod while he was reaching out 'Logan, lose the battle, Magneto is' He'd tried to reach to Wolverine but the pod closed up on him.
"Let him out NOW!" Scott demanded slightly holding up his shades making them be able to see the glowing of his eyes behind them.
"Do that and you may blow the pods out into space, the Plumbers may not be able to reach them in time as these Spheres cancel out Mutant Powers." Magneto stated to them about the pods.
"Ya, well the odds aren't all that great for you either!" He'd responded threateningly towards Magneto.
"Hey hey hey, no one needs to get hurt here. They're just having a little time out is all. Look I don't really fully get it either but Magento says he only wants to help, and I need his help." The blond guy stated in response trying to calm them down.
"Your brother Alex is right Scott, I am not your enemy or the enemy of Charles. Though we may have different ways of going about it, we both want Mutants to be accepted into society." Magneto stated taking off his helmet.
Charles, Storm, and Jean, all looked worried about what they'd heard but Hunter had gotten an idea and began to smirk sitting down to test a theory.
We then see that Kitty was with Toad, Rogue, and Evan coming into the mansion that was damaged on the inside with Toad stating "Man you guys live like slobs."
"Storm, hello?" Kitty called out trying to see if anyone was there but Mystique had jumped down in front of them.
"She's out, can I take a message?" Mystique then stated to them about Storm having not been there at the moment.
"What are you doing here exactly?" Rogue then questioned why she was there exactly after all the crazy things that happened.
"Simple truth, no body discards me. Not even Magneto, not after all I've done for him!" She'd answered back in frustration. "So I'm paying him a visit, we can go together, or I can go alone."
"Oh you won't be alone." Wolverine stated knocking the broken door out of his way as he was walking in. "If Magneto has our friends, then we're going after them."
"Good, but I know the man so I'm calling the shots." Mystique spoke crossing her arms stating that she'd be in charge.
"Hmp, then get your own ride. X-Men let's go." Logan stated bluntly and began to walk off with Kitty, Evan, and Rogue following.
"Oh alright fine, but I expect to be consulted!" She'd stated giving up and shoving Toad to go along with them while she also followed them.
We then see a helicopter taking off out of a hidden part of the school underneath a ball court which opened up to let them out. "Welcome to the first test flight of the XM-Velocity." Logan stated as the vehicle had flown off.
Moving back to what was happening on Asteroid M Magneto was telling them about a device "Look I'll give you a live demonstration of my offer. And it is an offer, I will not force you Scott. Sabretooth." The one called Sabretooth had gone into the chamber and it closed up on them. "In a few minutes he will be reborn fully evolved in his mutation."
Meanwhile Wolverine was enjoying the flight stating "Man this thing really cooks." and they'd heard the sound of something happened.
"Man you hear that metal straining, we're breaking up!" Toad stated freaking out about the Velocity straining.
"Nah, we couldn't be. This baby is built without an ounce of metal." Wolverine then answered back making them freak out even more so.
Back on Asteroid M Sabretooth had come out larger and looking more like a big ass Sasquatch and let out a roar.
"Boy's it's time to reach your full potential now too." Magento then stated gesturing towards the chamber.
"What do you think Scott, it seems like it would help but.." Alex spoke to his older brother looking over at him worried about just might happen.
"I think that uh.." Scott began to state looking over towards the spheres seeing one of them starting to very quickly glow a bright red in color. "I think we should step back." He'd then taken his brother by the shoulder and pulled him backwards as the sphere had exploded apart with glowing blue eyes glaring at Magneto as the scrap had struck Sabretooth into the wall.
"What, HOW!?" Magneto then questioned seeing that the pod had exploded when it shouldn't have done so.
"Magneto your plan sounded good, but you forgot to take something into consideration." Scott then told the man as the glowing eyes continued to glare at him and they see a light flickering inside the smoke.
"What's that exactly?" He'd demanded wanting to know just how he'd failed to consider something for his plans.
"Not all Mutants are entirely human." He'd answered back as a blast of fire shot out at the white haired man though he used his powers to fly up out of the way of the blast which struck Blob making him freak out because his shirt was now on fire and he'd had to quickly pat out the flames.
A powerful roar was heard from the smoke and strong winds were blown out clearing the smoke away revealing Hunter in his Dragon form as he'd pinned everyone that was in his path except for blob up against the wall though it did make him have to cover his face because it was hurting his eyes.
"Alex, meet my friend Hunter Long. Son of the American Dragon." Scott then spoke as alarms began going off about someone fast approaching from the outside and Hunter used his claws to rip a gap into the pod with Storm allowing her to use her powers from the inside and she'd blasted her way out. "C'mon let's free the others!"
Alex blasted the pod with Jean in it managing to put a hole in it but just barely while Scott had also been able to blast a hole through the pod with Xavier freeing Jean to rip open her pod using her powers and then do the same with Charles'. "Whoa, why do I get the feeling we're about to wreak some serious Havoc?"
"Havoc, not a bad code name for you little bro." Scott answered back telling him he could use that as a mutant name.
"Ya, Havoc, but like, with a K at the end." Alex, now Havok called out agreeing and they'd started to join in the fight against Magneto as the rest of the X-Men had come in alongside Toad and Mystique.
"Whoa, looks like there's a serious party going on here." Logan stated back about the fighting already happening.
"Guess your invitation got lost in the mail." Hunter answered back taking a deep breath and blasting fire at Magneto.
The whole place had started to break apart "Get to the X-Jet and the Velocity, NOW!" Logan yelled out at them when this places started to fall apart and everyone began to bolt except for Mystique, Magneto, and Sabretooth. Sabretooth had made his own way while Mystique dove into the evolution chamber followed by Magneto.
They'd all managed to get out of there with Scott flying the Blackbird with Jean, Kitty, Hunter, and the Professor on board, and Wolverine flying the Velocity with Storm, Toad, Avalanche, Blob, Quicksilver, Rogue, and Evan.
"Not exactly how I imagined a first date would go." Kitty stated sitting in the back of the jet up against the door alongside Hunter.
"Ya, here I was looking forwards to a day at the beach, instead it was just more work. Now I gotta file a report on what happened too." Hunter answered back with a sigh agreeing with her.
