The so called date

Since that day Haley couldn't help but be bewildered, flowers have been appearing at her doorstep with letters meant for her. Haley smirks at the thought of the sender being Chai as after her appearance, flowers were sent to her.

"Aww~" Haley couldn't help but be touched and happy as the flower that was mailed for her today is her favourite flower. "How did she know?" Haley picks up the sunflowers as she hugs them.

Her heart races as she smells the flowers, the soothing sensation washes over her as her chest feels warm and calm.

"Oh~ who sent that?" Emily asks as she looks at peeks over at her sister who has a love-struck look on her face.

"Hehehe~ I wonder too!" Haley beams a heartwarming smile as she looks at her sister, Emily looks at her sister in shock.

"I see, anyways. I'm going out today for lunch, I left some food on the fridge, just reheat it later okay?"

"Where are you going?" Haley asks as she puts the flowers on a vase. Emily perks up at the sudden question and blushes.

"Uhmm, actually, I'm going to eat out today with... err‐ a-... a friend!" Emily replied with a flustered look on her face that made Haley curious.

"And who might this 'friend' be?" Haley asks as she grins at Emily teasingly.

"Err..." Emily blushes further and was unable to utter a word.

Haley chuckles as she pats her sister's shoulders. "Hahaha, no need to be shy, now off you go now. You'll be late for your date!" Emily blushes harder hearing the word 'date' Haley giggles seeing her sister's expression, it's been so long since the two had a proper conversation let alone a playful one and it gives her joy being able to be with her like this.

Emily left flustered as she awkwardly walked towards the saloon. Once inside, there she saw Chai sitting on a table pondering over something as she didn't seem to notice Emily.

Emily smiles and walks towards her as she looks at her directly in the eyes before sitting on the chair.

"Thank you for inviting me for lunch." Emily finally speaks that shocks Chai.

"Woah, I didn't notice you there!" She chuckles. "And no worries, this is a form of my appreciation for you." She replied as she smiles brightly which made Emily's heart skip a beat.

Chai noticed Emily's dress and was in awe. "Wow, you look so beautiful today! Your dress fits you, where did you buy them?" She asks.

"I created them myself." Emily replied as Chai's eyes sparkle.

"Realy?!" She clasps both of Emily's hands. "Can you teach me how?!" She added as Emily chuckles.

"Alright, but we should eat first and discuss this later." Emily chuckles and soon their date went off smoothly. It wasn't a date but Emily couldn't help but think it was.

After they were done, they went out for a stroll and gaze around. The town was small yet interesting, they chatted a bit before Chai walks her home.

Haley saw the delighted look on her sister's face as she bids farewell to her date, Haley took a peek and daw Chai which irritated her.

'Her date is that woman?!' Haley couldn't help but get mad as she glares at Chai. Chai didn't notice her as she leaves. 'I want to tear that grin off her face!' Emily closes the door and sighs as she smiles brightly.

Haley was in a foul mood and headed into the kitchen as she contemplates her feelings.

'It's weird, truly weird. Why do I feel bothered that Emily is having a date with that fool?' She ponders even more.

'I just met her and we rarely talk so it's impossible that I like her although she looks like the woman that kept on appearing in my dreams...' She sigh before an idea finally struck her mind.

'Is it because I'm afraid she'll hurt my sister?!' She nods, despite everything she still cares for her sister even though she has a hard time showing it due to her inflated ego, she doesn't admit it but it's true.

She sighs once more. "Well, it doesn't matter." She muttered as she stare into the unknown.
