The Flower Dance
Clint watches in silence as he looks at Emily and the new farmer dance, he's so frustrated as the two women dance.
'As much as I don't want her to dance with that woman... I can't turn her down when she asks me like that...' Clint remembers the scene that had transpired earlier as Emily apologises to him.
"I know I promised to dance with you but Chai seems nervous and wanted to dance so I asks her out, I'm so sorry!" Clint wanted to decline but she was just way too cute he couldn't help it.
But he couldn't help but regret his decision now.
"O-oh it's fine! And besides, there's always a next time.." He replied.
Emily sigh a breath of relief as she smiles at Clint.
"Thank you!!" She then speeds off and walks towards Chai as the event starts.
Chai and Emily dance along with everyone, Chai makes some small mistakes and sometimes steps on Emily's foot but Emily brushes it off with a smile and as the two continue to dance, their friendship deepens.
Soon, the event has come to an end and always Haley won as the Flower Queen. Haley tried to fake a smile to not spoil the mood but Emily notices it.
"Say, why do you think my sister is upset?" Emily asks Chai who's in a trance as she looked at Haley.
'She's so beautiful...' Her heart thumps as she looks at the woman who seems to capture not just her eyes but also her heart. 'Huh?'
"...llo? Hello, earth to Chai!" Emily finally awakens her as her face was inches near hers Chai blushes and looks away.
Emily also notices how close their face has become and she backs away and blushes, the two didn't say a word but as the silence grew, the more their hearts beat fast.
"That was fun!" Emily finally speaks breaking the silence between the two of them, Chai nods as she smiles at Emily.
"It was, I really had so much fun! And oh, sorry about stepping on your foot a lot." Chai replied and apologise as she look at Emily's feet.
"Come in now, it's fine!" Emily said brushing it off. "And besides, I can wal–" Emily falls but was caught by Chai.
The two looked into one another's eyes as Emily's face turns red, she didn't know why but her heart is pounding like crazy.
Chai helps Emily stands up as she looks at her foot with worry. She then knelt and ushered her back to hers.
"Here, let me help you." Emily couldn't help but smile as she sat on top of Chai's back. Her heartbeat can't stop racing as Chai lifts her like nothing, Chai looks at her and smiles.
"Feeling comfortable?" Chai asks as Emily who's head was buried on her back.
"Yes..." Emily replied as she giggles under her breath, Chai grinned as she walks down the path towards her house.
"Oho, looks like we're going to have another couple in town huh." Said Lewis as he looks at the two, Marnie and every adult in town agrees with a nod as they look at the two warmly except Clint who was fuming with anger.
"....." Haley watches from the sidelines as she looks at the two, she couldn't help but feel envious and angry at her sister but she knows she couldn't do anything.
