Forgotten lunch
Rolling over on the bed you sleeply open an eye to see the time. Seeing the red numbers from the clock on the bedside table read 6:30 you roll back over and snuggle into your husband warmth.
"What's the time?" Your husband mumbled as he also snuggled close. "It's still too early for you Giyuu, go back to sleep." And he doesn't argue and goes back to sleep. It had been a busy weekend with the both of you going over to your parents for a visit and then shopping when you both came back home. But now it's Monday and Giyuu goes back to work while you have the day off.
You eventually have to brake out the snuggles and the warm bed to get started on Giyuu's lunch. Deciding that since it Monday you would make him his favorite, just to brighten his day a bit. Soon enough Giyuu does wake up from missing your warmth and the alarm going off. He moves with sleep still taking a hold of his body and goes to search for you. He eventually find you in the kitchen cooking. He hugs you from the back, his head resting between your shoulders and the crook of your neck. You let him do this for a minute before you shoo him off to shower and get ready.
While he does you make breakfast while also getting ready for the day.
"Looks good." Giyuu just finished getting dressed by the time he came to the kitchen, you made a plate for him "You gotta hurry, it's almost time for you to go." You kiss his cheek and he turns to kiss you back. "I left your lunch on the counter."
"What would I do without you." And he lets you go so you could go shower. Taking a seat he begins to eat his breakfast.
Even though this is the usual schedule for the week, time does fly by. When Giyuu looks at the clock he is shocked to see the time. He quickly gathers his things even writing a 'I live you note' and putting on your phone as he rushes to the door. By the time you done you just hear the door slam shut. You smile to yourself as you walk back to the room to get dressed.
Once dressed you go to the kitchen to make your plate of food and see the note he's left on your phone. You text him a quick I love you back and start to eat when you're eyes just so happen to glance up to see his lunch box still on the counter.
"Oh no..." You look at the clock. He's just barely making the train and you wouldn't have time to catch him. "I guess I'll drop it off...I'm not doing anything today anyways." And you go back to eating your breakfast. "Oo I finally get to meet his coworkers!" You smile at the thought since you never met any of his coworkers.
*Time Skip* You pack a lunch as well and decide to have lunch with him today so by the time you left home you should make it by lunch time. You walk up to the school and enter the office. "Oh hello, you here to pick someone up?" The woman asked behind the desk. "Oh no I'm not a parent. I'm here to have lunch with my husband. " a look of confusion flashes on her face. None of the staff are married, as least to her knowledge. "Ah okay, may I ask who?" But she can't help but getting some gossip. "Tomioka Giyuu." You smile not knowing the news you just delivered. "O-oh! Okay. I can give you a visitors pass and can you sign the sign in sheet. I'll check his schedule to see if he's on lunch." "Okay thank you so much." Still obvious about the shock you given you signed the paper. Tomioka Giyuu is married The gym coach Mister stick about the rules Is married!?!?
She takes the sign in sheet once your done and checks herself and sure enough you share his last name.
Taking a visitor sticker She quick to scrabble your name and hands it over to you. "He is on lunch but I don't know where he could be, I know he doesn't eat with the other teachers, but I can show you to the teachers lounge. Maybe they can help?" You smile and agree hoping your pulling her away from work. You both walk the halls till you arrive at the teachers lounge. She knocks first before entering.
You walk in with her and take a quick look around hoping to see Giyuu, but no luck.
"Hello, is something wrong?" One of the teachers, who has fairey red and yellow hair speakes up. "I was hoping if any of you know where Mr.Tomioka is?"
"Why would we know where that stuck up is."
The office attendant flinched at words from the math teacher. If they only know who you are maybe they would think twice.
"He usually had his lunch behind the gym." The red and yellow haired teacher replied before the spiky white haired teacher could add more to his comment. "Who's asking." Another teacher speaks up
"I am, and I don't like it when people are rude to my husband. " the room goes so quiet at that you could hear a pin drop. And maybe a pen did drop the art teacher was sketching when you both came in. You didn't care though, your eyes were dead set on the spiky white haired man before.
Giyuu wasn't the best when it comes to being social. You learned that from the years you spent being his friend in college and when you both started dating. You can see why people think he's a stuck up, but at the same time you new better then to judge a book by its cover. "Tomioka is married?" Someone muttered of to the side while you glared wholes into Senami, who shifted under your gaze. It was much like his mother use to give him when he was pushing it. "Your a teacher, you should know better then to judge someone based on what you see." You then look to the firey haired teacher. A little bit of your glare softened just a bit.
"If you don't mind showing me? Giyuu left his lunch at home and I don't want him to go hungry."
Rengoku nods. "I don't mind at all." And he leaves the room with you. The room erupts in Kaos as soon as you both leave. "I believe I didn't catch your name?"
"(Y/n) Tomioka, and you are?"
"Rengoku, the history teacher." You've kinda heard of him from Giyuu. "And thank you...for helping me that is."
"It's no problem at all! But if you don't mind me asking are you really married to Tomioka?"
You smile a bit. "Yep. It's been a year now. We met while in college and since we've been close." It had been during a group assignment actually. Two of the members didn't bother working so it was up to you and Giyuu to get the project rolling. At first things were awkward and a bit tense, but eventually you both started talking and hanging out. You enjoyed his quite side while he got to go out with you to some crowded places. But he enjoyed it, it felt nice to have someone to hang out for once in a big crowd.
The walked was filled with small chatter, Rengoku had been nice enough to show you some of the classes along the way before stopping outside the gym. "He should be behind that corner, and once again it is nice to meet you (Y/n)." He smiles brightly as you shake his hand. "And you too thank you so much." And you wave him a goodbye as you go find your husband. Sure enough he was there sitting on the stairs with a bottle of water and a bag of chips. "Giyuu!" You run over to him with lunch. Hearing your voice made his head look up and eyes widen.
"(Y/n)?!"
He stands up just as you get closer to him to hug. "What are doing here?" He asked once you pull away. "You forgot your lunch at home. So I came here to have lunch with you." You hold up the bag to show him. He smiles and clears a spot so you can sit with him. As you take out the food it finally dawns on him. "Wait you had to come through the front office."
"Yep."
"So ....You've met my coworkers."
"Yes...Rengoku was nice enough to take me here." You add handing him the box with his lunch. "Sorry if made trouble for you." He shakes his head "No...I don't talk much to my coworkers anyway so they wouldn't have known I'm married." He leans over and give you a kiss on your cheek. "It's nothing to worry about." You let out a huff but opened your lunch box as well. When he opens his, his mouth waters. It's He turns to you. He'll never understand how he ended up with you. "Thank you (Y/n)....really you made my day better." You blush at his words. "I'm glad." And you both eat lunch together and listen to him talk about his day. *behind the bushes* "I don't think it's right for us to watch our coworker like this." Rengoku states, but it falls on deft ears as the other teachers look behind the bushes and trees st the screen before them. "Never knee he could look happy." Uzui adds. It's odd to see their gym teacher look happy and show expression. "It nice to see him happy. I know our principal often worries over him." "...whatever..." Senami shrugged and looked away from the screen. "Your just upset his spouse caught you on your bull shit." Uzui says to an annoyed Senami. "I didn't know they were his spouse!" "Quite!" "We don't need them to know we're spying!" "Why did we even come out here anyway." Iguro sighs *back with you and giyuu* "...." "Once again for causing you trouble." You eat your food trying not to pay attention to his coworkers who are definitely spying on you both. "It was bound to happen at one point anyways." He sighed. "At least I had a good lunch to deal with them." "Which reminds me you should invite Rengoku over one time. I would like to thank him." Giyuu let's out another sigh, at least it's only Rengoku. "I'll tell him later, but let's finish our lunch." "Sure Giyuu."
