"I wasn't thinking I would see you today Kaku." A bright smile spreads on your face. It had been a sunny day, not a cloud in the sky, with a light breeze making the weather perfect. "Well, what can I say, you are the best merchant here and well I need an order." The shop you owned dealt in a lot of trading between Galley-law and other islands for things they needed for the ships they made along with weapons and equipment. That your fast delivery was very well known thanks for your Devil fruit.
"Well then, what does the great Galley-law company need?" You turn and get a form ready. "Just the basic stuff." You hand him over the form. He begins to fill it out before he stops. He looks at you with a nervous look in his eye. "Hey, what's wrong Kaku? You look scared."
"Er well...uh..." A light blush fills his face as he looks away from you and scratches the back neck. " I was wondering...if ya... well if you maybe want to.."
"Want to what Kaku?"
"Get some dinner or lunch sometime? Like a date?"
You feel your face get hot. You had always found Kaku attractive, and well people could tell right away like Paulie and Kalifa, who happened to poke a bit of fun at you when you and Kaku were in the same area. "A Date?" You mutter and Kaku is quick to try to change it "I well yes? A date... if you are interested."
You smile at him "I-I would like that...it's a date."
His heart fluttered he told you once when you both reflected about you both started dating.

"(Y/n)?" You look up to see Ice Burge. You had been staying with him since your shop was damaged and well...you don't think you should be home. Too many memories of Kaku were there and well...maybe you were a bit happy to see your shop damaged seeing that's how it all started. "Hi, Ice Burg..." He was still healing from everything too and Galley-law was still in a bit of a mess.
"Wanted to see if you felt up to have some tea with me...but it looks like this is more than a tea situation." He sits next to you.
"It's nothing...you've got more things to worry about than little old me." You smile though Iceburg could see the pain in your eyes. You have been a close friend of his since Tom passed. The both of you just starting and struggling to get where you both are now. He could relate to some of your pain... the betrayal of Kaku, Kalifa, and Luci had been a big thing to deal with since everyone had some kind of closeness with them

He moves to sit with you.
"I...was everything a lie? All the 'loves yous' and kisses a lie.... was I being used as a cover?" You wanted to cry even more now. "I..I just can't wrap my head around it Ice burg." You sniffle trying to hold back tears. "I loved him...I loved him so much." You mutter. Your heart is broken and probably not going to be fixed for a long time after this. Iceberg just listens wishing he could do more for you. Who knows where Kaku is by now and if they catch him what could they do? He's a spy and much stronger than the rest of them.
He sits with you till you can cry no more. Till you tired yourself out. Iceberg covers you with a blanket and lets you sleep.
*time Skip*
It's been about two months. You've closed your shop down and sold your home. Iceberg was nice enough to let you live and work at the Galley-law site as his assistant/ import person. Using your powers to get tools and other supplies when needed.
"Burning the middle night oil I see." You look up to see Iceberg in your office. "Eh, it's nothing. Just making sure we have enough supplies and your schedule for the week and month are good." Kalifa wasn't kidding that Iceberg was a busy man, how she could keep up with his schedule was beyond you.
"Just don't stay up for too long. Goodnight (y/n)."
"Night Iceburg." And you went back over the schedule. You checked over supplies and took account of how much was used and what would be needed within the coming week and took out meetings that weren't in too much of need and scattered throughout the week. Over all, it looked pretty good.
You hear then hear the door and smile. "Did you need something ice-" You felt your heart drop.
"It's been a while..."
"K-kaku?" Your voice shakes when you see your ex-lover at the door of your office. You want to scream....
"I tried at your home but you weren't there so...I took a guess." He had the nerve to walk in but you quickly stopped him by throwing a ledger at him. "No...not another step Kaku..." He looked hurt.
No, you shouldn't let him sway you. "Why are you here..."
"Why come back here after what you guys did." Kaku didn't say a word. He kept his head down not looking at you. And you don't know if that makes you even more mad or hurt. You try not to yell to alert Iceberg, because what could he do? If what Iceberg told you Kaku and others were agents for the government, which meant they could fight better than anyone here on Water 7. There was no point in alerting anyone if Kaku could take them down in an instant. And if you thought about it...it made a lot of sense. All the other fights he got in with pirates who tried to pull one over on Galley-law. "Answer me." Kaku has never seen you angry before...maybe if a customer didn't pay on time, but not like this.
"Answer me damn it!" You hit your hand on the table. "I deserve an answer "Tears fill your eyes as you fight the urge to cry in front of him. The man who loved with all your heart and left only to come back like nothing happened. "Did you use me for your cover like ho you used others? Was I just another pawn in your mission to kill Iceberg?" You wanted an answer and now that Kaku was here you were gonna get them no matter how much the answers may hurt.
"I-i..."
You grit your teeth. "Kaku...I love you...and it hurts that even with all you did, I still love you in some way...but I don't know anymore."

"I don't know if what we had was real or fake... I don't know if you love me..." At this, Kaku looks up wanting to say something to you, but he can't...any kind of reason he tried to justify everything he did died. Because you had every right to not trust him. He shouldn't have gotten involved with you...made you second guess the love he has for you. Luci voice rings in his head, how it was all for the mission.... for his cover to blend. However, Kaku loved water 7, loved working on ships, loved the people and working for Iceburg...he loved being with you.

You let a tear fall.
"J-just go kaku... and if it's any credit to you... it was nice to see you again..."
