Zoro x Demon!Gn! Reader- me and the devil
He needed a new sword...
It wasn't a regular occurrence but it did happen sometimes and he needed a new one. So the next time they stopped and the island he went looking. Granted he got lost and well... maybe he shouldn't have gone down the alley where a there was shop. "Hello?" He opens the door and is greeted with a bunch of junk. Well, it might not be junk to others but there were a lot of things. "Oh, a customer! This way Sony." He goes to the cashier counter where he sees an old woman. "Now what are you looking for? We got everything you might need."
"A sword... you got any?" She looks him up and down. "You not a marine are you? Ya don't work for them government people right?" She squints her eyes at him. "No." She smiles at his answer. "One moment. " she then presses a button on the table and the shop changes. The curtain closed and the sign that had once said open flips to closed. She then gets up and walks to the door and locks it. "Good! You can't be too careful nowadays. Now follow me. I never keep weapons up top. Don't need no wondering eyes snitching on an old timer like me." She then presses a brick and a door opens up behind the counter. Zoro follows her to the back and down the stairs. Once they reach the bottom she draws back the curtain and flips on the light. "Now you said a sword, right? They should be to the back left corner, but feel free to look around I'll be upstairs if ya need me." He thanks her and takes a look around.
It took him a bit seeing that the room was pretty big, but he eventually found the swords. Some had been displayed on the wall or behind a glass case. He looks and looks till he finds one.
The cover is black but has some kind of emblem on it. It has a weird feel to it, but Zoro takes it seeing it's the only one to catch his interest. He goes back up to where the lady is waiting. "Oh that one..." she gives Zoro a look over again. "Take it. You seem like you can handle it." Zoro is shocked to get the katana for free but it is also suspicious. "Now now! It's a good one you picked. It seems like it was made for ya! Besides you taking it off my hands so I can find something else."
"If you say so..." He gives a nod of thanks and leaves. Not nothing the the shop had vanished as he left.
*time skip*
The new sword he got hasn't been used yet. Though he got it free it didn't feel right. Like it was looking at him.
Then it started
The dreams
Some would range from fighting to heavy touches that he didn't mind.
It was always the same person.
Their fights felt real. Like he was on a test.
He would wake in the night panting heavily from a fight.
He look to his sword
The next night it was his turn to watch the ship. Once he was sure everyone was asleep he took out his newest sword. "Show yourself...I know there is something up with this sword." It takes a moment before he feels the sword getting hot. He drops it once it's too hit for him. It clanks on the deck and shakes.
"I was wondering when you would summon me" a voice comes out of nowhere. Then the sword begins to float in the air and point at him. Soon a body appears holding the sword. "It's not often I find a human worth welding me."
The being stood their black bat-like wings out coming from the back of them, a pointed tail whipping about, and horns crowing their head. They were dressed somewhat scandalously with a harness being most of their attire.
The same person Zoro sees in his dream.
"Who are you?" He clutches his swords a bit of an unease as he does so.
They smirk showing off their fangs. "(Y/n)... the original owner and demon of this blade."
Zoro unsheathed his two katanas his eyes never leaving (Y/n). "Not many one a fight against me, most leave dead, let's see if you worth welding me swords men." And with that, a fight broke out just like in his dreams. The sound of metal hitting metal filled the night. (Y/n) moved quickly and blocked Zoro's hits. A part of Zoro felt happy to do this. To have someone to fight with that also wields a sword. Blow after blow Hit after hit It was lucky the ship hadn't been broken into two from the fight. With a well-timed attack, Zoro had cut their cheek. They backed away to touch it and smiled. "Show me more!" And they dash towards Zoro at full speed. Zoro blocks the head-on attack before unleashing his own. Sparks fly with each hit to the blades. Zoro doesn't know how long they've been fighting, but this is the most fun he's had in a while. "Tired?" (Y/n) spoke as their blade crashed with Zoro and two others. "Never. I'll beat you. Make you submit!" He summons more of his strength and uses his best move. (Y/n) tries to block in enough time, but fails. The blow makes contact. "I haven't had a welder like you! Such a fire in those eyes" they grin. Zoro stands over them blood dripping from his wounds. He's breathing hard. "Not bad yourself." He kneels next to them tired. Their wounds don't seem to bother them as they move to Zoro. "Take care of me, my new master... I crave the fight. Amongst other things" they place a kiss on the crown of Zoro's head. "You very much worthy to use my blade...till next time." They vanished leaving the sword in their place. The sun begins to creep out breaking the night sky. Zoro sighs. And picks up the blade and gets up. The crew should wake soon and he's in desperate need of a nap. He'll go to Chopper to take care of the minor cuts he received during the fight. This was the most fun he's had in a long time
