Note
The moment that I had gotten to work on adding Namor and The Inhumans in, I needed to make this, Namor The Sub-Mariner, The First Mutant, this will be interesting since I don't have too much data on The Atlanteans but I will try to keep this as entertaining as the rest of my works, hope you like it!

Fraying at The Edges

8/31/1936, The Country Club, Long Beach

The Atlantean Prince was at the blueprints, Henry and a blonde watching as he had spoken to them, “Here, Bridget, is where we would need your father’s help with the super rupture.” he had said as Sandy had looked at her wrist, bored, “Super structure.” she had said towards him, “Thank you, Sandy.” he had said, happy, he had looked to her smile, “Now, I suppose you’re wondering how the engine stays dry.” he said.

“How fascinating.” Bridget had said with a grin, “Quite.” Sandy added, not amused at all, “Well, I’ve been talking to Maximillian who’s in rubber–” “I’m practically SUFFOCATING in here.” Sandy had interrupted, “I don’t know how you can stand it.” she had said, making Namor clear his throat, “…rubber and he makes sealants–” “Let’s go for a swim.” she had asked of him.

“We can swim all day tomorrow when we’re in Atlantis.” he had said, making her frown at that, “Well, a walk, then.” she had told him, but he had instead turned towards Bridget, “Sandy, I’m trying to explain–” “I don’t understand… when did you turn into my father?” she had snapped towards him before walking off, “What did I…?” he had muttered, at least until Bridget spoke, “DO go on.” she said, and so he did so.

Namor and Bobo’s father had started to walk through the redesigns as the humans tried to upgrade while the Atlanteans there had kept trying to clean the nearby gunk that was there before Henry had started to try and convince Korra, “With this secure foundation, additional drilling will be COMPLETELY safe,  your majesty.” he had said, “The concrete’s not even HARD yet, Henry.” she said, no longer trusting him.

At the same time, Zarina noticed the girl looking angry with her eldest son, “The dry girl, go talk to her.” she had ordered, confusing Beemer, “She knows what I think about her and her kind father.” he had said, but Zarina didn’t care, “Don’t be stupid, boy.” she had told him, “Just talk nicely to her.” she had ordered of him, “Why?” he had asked, still unsure about it.

“Namor won’t like it.” She said, pushing him forward, so he had decided to do as much, swimming up to her, “You don’t see eye to eye with your prince about his plans?” he had asked her with a smile now and she didn’t smile, “I don’t see him at ALL. At least not without his new ‘friend’ BRIDGET.” she said and hearing that, he saw his way in now and smiled not to her but also himself.

The court had all looked towards them as the two humans had listened to them all, “…the engine would propel the net and spin it.” Namor had said as Beemer and Zarina had looked towards them as Sandy spoke to the prince, “C’mon, Namor, I want to dance.” she had asked of him and hearing that, Korra had spoken, “Go… you kids have some fun.” she had playfully ordered of him.

But Namor wasn’t in the mood it seemed, “Later, okay? I’m busy.” he had said, upsetting Sandy as Korra had looked at the papers and was curious, “You can build this, Henry?” she had asked, wanting to see if they’ll have a solution that isn’t terrorism, “With my construction expertise? Certainly.” he had told them as she had went and stormed off away from them.

“Sandy’s free… make your move!” she had ordered and hearing that, Beemer had went and swam towards her, gently grabbing her arm, “Wanna dance?” he had asked with a subtle smile and as she heard that, looking towards Namor being busy, she had decided to play his game, “Sure, if you can keep up.” Sandy had told him, leading him towards the dance floor.

The two of them in the center with their hands at their waists, “I can keep up.” he had promised towards her, hearing that, they each lowered their hands, “Glad to hear it.” she said before pulling him in close, forcefully, which was when she had felt SOMETHING, “Beemer, I thought dry girls didn’t interest you.” she had said and Beemer had to admit he was as surprised as her.

And it seemed that Korra and Henry had noticed, “It’s gettin’ hot down here.” she had told them, glad for her older nephew and as Namor saw it, he got jealous and swam over as Bobo noticed a well, “I’M forbidden to see Liz, but it’s okay for BEEMER to flirt with Sandy?” he had asked of her, “Seeing Liz doesn’t make Namor JEALOUS, does it?” she had asked her son as he had gotten in the middle, splitting them apart.

“Sandy, let’s dance.” he had said towards her, but Sandy didn’t smile, “Later, okay? I’m busy.” she told him, going back to Beemer as Bytta had went and grabbed her hands, “I’LL dance with you, cuz.” she had said to him with a smile, the two of them starting to dance as Sandy spoke, “It’s a shame BRIDGET’S not here.” she had snipped, and at that, Namor couldn’t feel anything but rage.

Bobo was resting on his bed while Namor had went and practiced his Trident, “YOU saw him last night.” Namor said, moaning about his cousin’s brother, “I’d’ve kicked his TAIL if Grandma and the rest hadn’t been there!” he had snapped, annoying Bobo, “SANDY was the one dancing close.” he had said as Nammu had swam in, “Now she’s out ‘taking a swim’ with him.” Namor snapped, breaking his trident.

“It wasn’t Beemer’s idea.” Bobo said, sitting up, “Yeah, she got him cause they both knew it’d make you jealous.” Nammu said, going and sitting beside Bobo now, “Since when did you two start making excuses for your dub brother?” he had asked of the two, angering Bobo, “YOU’RE the one being dumb.” He had snapped, “Obviously, you swam right into their trap!” Nammu had told him as well.

“Sandy wants to make you jealous because you’re ignoring her, and Beemer wants you to start a fight so you look stupid.” Bobo had explained towards him, “Yeah, I did it all the time back home.” she had said, making Namor confused, “I’m NOT ignoring her.” he had said towards them both as they decided to swim off, “You’re boring her.” Bobo had went towards them as he had went and followed afterwards.

“I’m gonna be KING someday.” He had said towards the two, following after them, “I’m responsible for the whole of Atlantis!” He had snapped towards the two of them, “So take some time off from all that and go talk to her.” Bobo had snapped towards him as they had each went and grabbed a dolphin to drift, “SHE should be crawling back to ME.” The Prince had stated.

“You have to swallow your pride.” Bobo told him, “Or else you might swallow your teeth with that attitude.” Nammu had warned to them as Bobo got sad, “Namor, don’t let her go… not when you two have it so EASY.” he had said, making them all feel a bit nervous at that before the Prince had spoken first, “By the way… I saw Liz.” he had said towards him, making Bobo look with curiosity, “What did she say?” he asked.

Nammu curious as well as Namor looked a bit on the spot, “Err… she… she misses you.” he had said, making Bobo sad while Nammu had been curious, “Oh, yeah?” he had asked, “She’s confused… scared of letting her parents down.” Namor had said towards him and hearing that, The Prince had veered off, “If you love her, go to her.” he said and hearing that, Nammu decided to follow Bob, thinking Namor was fine.

Namor had found himself near the rig, so in response he had went and released  the Dolphin before going and swimming towards Sandy who had looked like she was waiting for something, “Where’s Beemer?” he had asked, trying to sound nonchalant, “Tri Team patrol.” she had told him, not looking, “Where are your blueprints?” she had asked of him and hearing that… he was a little hurt.

“You find them boring?” he had asked her and hearing his tone, how sad it sounded, he turned towards him, “No, it’s sweet.” she had told him, and this time, he had looked away, “You didn’t seem interested.” he had told her, “I AM… but I’m worried.” she had told him, “Look what DAMAGE the rig has done.” pointing to what was already done to the environment.

“It’s okay now.” he had told her, “Your dad’s concrete sealed the leaks.” he had said, glad that it had done as much, especially with the looks some of them started to give the surface dwellers, “You can’t always fix things that easily.” she had told him, and hearing that, he had went and gently put his hands on her shoulders, “I think I know what’s best for my home.” he had told her.

“Of course you do,” she had said, admitting that at least, “But it’s impossible to predict what might happen.” she had said as Namor had went and lifted her chin slightly, “Which is why we should enjoy the moment.” Namor told her, making Namor look him in the eyes now, “Worrying about the ‘maybes’ ruins the fun we can have now.” he had said before going in for the kiss.

It was quite easy for the two of them to get up, Nammu had helped to lift him up and onto the second floor, thanking Namor for bringing them here for so long and as Bobo had went and snuck through like when they had stolen Tiny, as he had noticed her running into a room, making him curious as he had followed after her, seeing that she had been hurling in one of those Pinkling toilets.

As he had seen her hunched over, appearing sick, he had thought that she was as beautiful as the day he had first seen her, “Seems like whenever I’m around, you’re sick.” he had said and hearing that, Liz had turned towards him with surprise, “Bobo! How did you get in here?” she had asked of him before realizing he was blue now without a gill scarf, “Quick, shut the door!” she said.

Once he had done so, the two of them had embraced, “I’ve missed you so much.” he had told her, “I’ve missed you, too.” she had told him, the two holding each other close before they had pulled back to look at each other, “Now that you’re here, I can’t go through with it.” she said, making him all the more confused, “Go through with WHAT?” Bobo had asked of her.

She had turned around, but he had wrapped his arms around her waist, “I thought I could blot you out… pretend to be someone else and accept it.” Liz had told him, “What, Liz?” he had asked her, “Troy…” she said, covering her face to hide her tears, “He’s going to propose tonight.” she had told him, “Do you love him?” he had asked, scared at what she would put herself through.

“Of course noy.” she had told him, “It’s all about money.” Liz had said towards him, “Does he love you?” Bobo had asked of her, and that was when she had started to tear up now, “No. his father’s threatening to cut him off if he doesn’t do something with his life.” she said, upset before going and hugging him, “What are we going to do?” she asked him, “Say no.” he said, hoping it’d be enough.

9/1/1936, Guest Quarters, Atlantis

Beemer had entered the quarters and saw Sandra, smiling at the sight of her golden hair, “You’re quite the dancer for a dry girl. Let’s go for another twist.” he had said, having an understanding of what his cousin saw in them, “We’re leaving.” she had told him, “But we were just getting to know each other.” Beemer had said, wishing that he could have more fun with her.

“Daddy and I will be back. He has plans for more rigs.” Sandy had said and hearing that, he had went in and wrapped his arms around her, “Business later, pleasure first.” he had said towards her, liking her warmth, but that was when she had decided to elbow him in the stomach, “Get your paws off me, you oaf!” she had said said, making him back away in modest discomfort.

“Don’t mistake me for one of your Atlantean girls.” she had told him, making him smile, “There was no mistaking what happened during that dance.” he said with a chuckle, “Yeah… you fell for a dry girl. I didn’t fall for YOU, Beemer.” she had said and THAT, that had actually hurt his heart as she had went and pointed him to leave, “Out!” she demanded and that was when he started to get angry.

“You’ll regret this.” he told her, swimming away from her and as hee had done so, The Atlantean had seen that there was Tridents and a weighted net and seeing that, Beemer let his passion take control, “GRAGHH!” he had snarled, taking both as he had went and started to get the plan in his mind now as The Atlantean Prince had went to commit the deed now.

“I’ll return with plans for a new rig.” Henry had said, swimming away from them, “You might want to wait until we’ve reached a decision, Henry.” Korra said as he, Namor and Sandy had swam away, at the younger two swam ahead, they spoke to each other, “We’ll be perfectly safe without an escort.” Sandy had said towards Namor, “I’ll see you to the edge of the city.” he had said to her.

The three of them had went and started to reach the border, once they had done so, the two youngsters held each other close, “Farewell.” Namor had told her, “I’ll see you soon.” Sandy had promised to him, as they had looked at each other, Henry got annoyed, “For heaven’s sake, KISS the girl or I’ll never get him.” he had snapped towards the two as he swam, eventually Sandy split and started to swim.

“You can get away with that sort of thing down here, but don’t let your mother know.” Henry had warned towards his daughter, “What, kissing?” she had asked of him, “Yes, KISSING.” he had warned towards the girl, “She’d try and put a stop to our business trips, and that would put us in a bind.” he had warned and before she could respond to it, they saw a weighted net get tossed at them.

“HET!” she had screamed in shock, “What the blazes?” Henry asked as Sandy had been caught, reacting, he had went to try and free her from it, at least until noticing that there was an Atlantean who was approaching them with the trident, “It’s Beemer! Daddy, go get help.” Sandy had told her father, making him stunned, “What kind of man abandons his daughter?” he had questioned.

“He won’t hurt me. Find Namor!” she had told him and hearing that, He had nodded and then went to swim back to the city to get whatever help that they could, but Beemer wasn’t going to make it that easy, “Your father’s an old man. He’s slow.” he had said, getting ready to throw his trident, “NO!” Sandy had screamed, going and tackling him, getting Beemer off his mark but still hitting him.

“ARGTHH!” he had screamed out loud as his calf was cut, “Daddy!” Sandra screamed while Beemer grabbed the end of the net, watching as Henry, the man that made the rig start to sink, “Careful of the sharks, Henry.” he snarked, “They get excited by blood.” with him gone, Beemer started to swim away with his catch, “What was that you said, Sandy? ‘He won’t hurt me’?” he said, telling her that she should be scared.

Bobo and Nammu were at the window, watching as Liz had spoken, “I don’t love you, Troy.” she had said towards the boy who was drinking, “Now, Elizabeth, don’t be silly!” her mother had snapped towards her, “It’s hardly a matter of LOVE, is it?” Troy had asked, making the two angry, “Of course that will come, over time.” the mother said, making them angrier at the two.

“If it’s cards on the table time, then we BOTH get something out of it. You get me money, and–” “Your FATHER’S money.” she had snapped, making him give a tense smile, “Yes. we BOTH benefit from his generosity.” he had said, but Liz hadn’t been deterred at all, “The answer is no.” she had said, turning her nose away from him right now as Troy stood up now.

“Give her time, PLEASE.” she had requested as her father looked exasperated, “Her feelings are clear. I won’t trouble you again, Mr. and Mrs. Kendal.” he had said as the two smiled, “Good night.” he had told them before walking away, both Nammu and Bobo going and hiding as he had walked away from them to see that there was nobody there at the moment, making them both smile.

“Liz is my favorite Pinkling now.” Nammu had told him and hearing that, Bobo had nodded, the two of them going and deciding to walk the streets now, the gill scarves on, they had looked like they were going for a night time swim as they had walked down to the ocean, “So then… why do you think she’s sick? Do you think that it’s because of the ocean pressure?” he had asked.

Nammu shrugged, “I don’t know, you’d have to talk to a Pinkling to figure it out, or a healer.” Nammu had said as they had continued to walk by each other, people who were out at the same time and giving them odd looks because of their appearances, “Nammu I have to ask,” Bobo had said, making her look with a raised eyebrow, “Why do you hate Sandy so much?” he had asked.

Hearing that, Nammu groaned, “I. DON’T. HATE. HER.” Nammu said, “I’m just rooting for my lady instead of her.” she had said and hearing that, Bobo was confused, “Wait… Dorma?” he had asked of her, making Nammu sigh, “How do you know that?” he asked of her, making her shake her head, “I can’t believe how blind the two of you are.” she muttered as they went to go to their families once again.

Dorma was swimming through the streets, the Atlanteans there smiling and waving back at the young lady as they had seen that there was two faces that she wished to not deal with right now, “Krang, Byrrah.” she had said towards them, making the Blonde smile while The Warlord spoke, “Lady Dorma, I hear that you have been helping with the Neptune Net.” Krang had said towards her.

“Of course, if Queen Korra and her daughters can help collect the food, then surely someone like me can assist.” she had told them, making Byrrah smile a shark smile, “But then again, we must also be aware of the Sharka, ever since they had started to trade with The Triton, they’ve been becoming more dangerous.” he had said, referring to the strange green scaled man.

But Dorma had simply smiled, “That’s why I have Ambrose with me.” she had told them, her Goldfish swimming over and circling her protectively, glaring towards the two of them as Krang had glared towards the animal, “That may be, but we should still keep you from such dangerous risks.” he had said, “After all, those that support Namor and his pinkling coupling might–” “His what?” Dorma had asked.

That had made Byrrah grin, “His Pinkling, I’m surprised that you don’t know–” “Of course I know about Sandra Pierce.” she had told them, “My Sar, Nammu, told me about her, called her a distraction that he enjoyed for the Summer.” she had told them, making the two of them not too surprised about that but they were still interested in the fact that she could reveal her Sar was spying on the Prince.

Taking a breath, Dorma had went and swam down, smiling towards one of the traders there and offered trade to him for one of his food, as the two of them followed, glaring, Byrrah had spoken, “We would like it if you had some guards, for your protection.” The Prince had said and that had made the young Lady sigh towards him “Very well then, I will take–” but Krang spoke.

“I already have gathered the necessary guards.” the Atlantean had said and hearing that, the redhead had looked towards the men that were there and their weapons, they had made her give her politician smile, the one that her father had trained into her, “Very well then.” she had told them, “I would be happy to have them.” Dorma said before starting to drift, hoping that they could come back soon.
