Chapter 2
May’s POV
Leo and Skye are something else. They are very in sync with one another and Jemma. Jemma is Leo’s romantic soulmate it is shocking for someone to have three marks. Skye visits more often than Leo in the cockpit. I spend time with Leo in the kitchen, because he insists to cook for me. After the both of them found out about mu cooking skills. We have slowly been building a relationship.
Skye has told me that she has been an orphan since she was a baby and Leo told her that he and Skye met at a tech convention we she was 15 and he was 17. He had already met Jemma. Skye was homeless living in a van for two years when they met. He fought for her to be their assistant and they made fake records for to be 18 so no one would question her age. After asking why her age is different in the file from what I know her age is. Skye loved to create as much as Leo. Leo said she never finished middle school, but don’t ever doubt Skye’s intelligence. Every time someone sees Skye there is a book in possession whether in her hands or her lab coat that she is always wearing. Leo told her about his mother’s death anniversary at 2 am in the cockpit.
I remember that night as a bittersweet. I have a larger bed but not large enough for when Jemma and Skye came looking for Leo we all ended up sleeping together we all made it work somehow. I learned that Skye knows karate and jujutsu, but her favorite form of fighting is boxing because she learned from a foster brother. Leo and Skye are the ones that dream up all the really out there inventions. Jemma is the one to help them see the reality for them.
Leo made me a pen that is called a mouse-hole that can cut through any thing. Skye made me a gun even if she now knows I prefer to fight with my hands. “It is called a Night-Night gun. It will render someone unconscious. Leo might hassle him you to see it if he sees it. I kept the invention a secret.” I am so happy. They are prefect for me. I will protect them.
