That’s what Nate told himself as a sharp cold turned into sharp heat and pain down his spine. The katana? He couldn’t see, bound to the bed, face-down on the mattress that was beginning to smell of their sweat.
Providence couldn’t satisfy the Merc with a Mouth for long. He needed blood and violence to keep his mind off of blood and violence. So Nate made a martyr of himself again and pretended not to love the way Deadpool’s tongue licked his wounds. Pretended the chaos was the means to an ordered end.
