My Hero

Supergirl was flying back into the National City. When she flew back she felt water in her hair and saw gray clouds. The next thing she knew she heard the sound of thunder. She jumped and she shook her head. "It's ok Kara.. it's just one-"

Another sound boomed from the sky. Kara tried to keep breathing as she felt her lungs tighten. By the next second she was in tears and gasping for air. Without thinking she landed on the corner of a balcony and allowed herself to slowly cry.

Kara hated thunder, the sound and uncertainty of it always reminded her of her planet exploding. As more thunder came from the sky she lifted her knees up to her chest and threw her head down. She didn't dare look at the sky knowing it would just make it worse. The sound with superhearing was bad enough but seeing it was another thing.

Supergirl heard the balcony door open and she didn't lift her head, she was in the corner. Maybe the person wouldn't see her. Besides, who goes out on a balcony when there's thunder and rain for more then a few seconds.

She now heard the sound of feet growing closer. She sniffed without lifting her head and tried to wipe away any tears that were on her face.

"Supergirl? Is that you?" Supergirl slowly lifted her head and saw Lena. She quickly stood up and wiped more tears from her face. "Ms Luthor, .. hey?" Supergirl leaned over and held onto the railing of the balcony. "Supergirl is everything alright.. are you.. crying?"

Embarrassed, Kara forced a laugh and shook her head, "Nonono I ju-"

She was cut of by another boom from the sky. She tightened her grip on the railing and felt the metal bend to make an obvious dent. "..how about you come inside and get warm? I'd hate for you to fly off in the rain." Supergirl nods and happily steps inside.

Supergirl sopping wet didn't enter in past 2 feet. "I'm going to get you a towel, wait right here." Lena says before exiting the room.

Supergirl looks around the building, this was definitely not L Corp where Lena worked. She knew Lena had other buildings but never this nice. There's a bed with green sheets and fluffy white pillows. An emerald green couch a light brown lamp.

Supergirl saw a picture of herself and Lena at an ice cream shop. Lena was giving Kara a small peck on the cheek with her arms wrapped around the blonde. That was one of Kara's favorite times with Lena, obviously it was just a pose for the photo but she still loved the way Lenas lips felt on her cheek.

"Here you go, I heated up a warm towel for you. I also have some warmer clothes if you want them." Lena handed Supergirl the towel and clothes but the clothes remained in her hand. "I can't risk my iden- eh.. Ehhh...hehh-k'tshIEW!! Hehh'kSHEW!! Hehh...hehh'kshHEWW!!" Supergirl lifted her head from her elbow as Lena handed her a tissue. "Bless you?" Lena said and Supergirl blushed. "Sorry I just thought you never got sick or sneezed?"

Kara sniffs, "I don't so that's not a good sign." Lena gives a concerned look before looking at Supergirl shaking and dripping wet. "If you take off your suit and I put it in the dryer really quick will you be ok with that?" Kara blushes "In private of course," Lena reassures also blushing now. "Honestly that would be incredibly thoughtful. You sure?" Lena nodded, "I insist."

Lena led Kara to the bathroom and she took off the suit and handed it to Lena without sticking more then an arm out a cracked door. Within five minutes a dry suit was back on her body and Supergirl was impressed. "I thought dryers took 20 minutes." "Let's just say, I made my dryer high speed."

Supergirl giggles and Lena walks her to the couch. There's a glass of hot chocolate and potstickers on the table in-front of her. "Is this for me?" Lena nods and fidgets with her hands, "I hope you like potstickers. My friend Kara loves them so I always have some around." Supergirl smiles and takes a sip of the hot chocolate, "I love potstickers, and this hot chocolate is amazing!"

Lena giggles and walks to the bathroom go change. Suddenly Kara hears a loud booming noise that makes her bite her tongue. She looks up at the clear balcony door and sees it's began thundering again. Another boom echoes through the sky and Kara sets everything down and grabs onto the couch. She shuts her eyes and begins counting, "1, 2, 3-" another boom strikes and Kara feels tears starting to fall from her eyes. She try's to suppress them but gives up and begins to sob into her hands.

Just then Lena exits the bathroom and sees Supergirl. She rushes over almost falling in the process, "Supergirl what's wrong are you ok?" Supergirl wipes her tears again just for more to come falling down her face. "Th- the noise." More thunder happens and Supergirl begins to sob again. Lena looks out the window and sits down on the couch. "Are you afraid of the thunder?" Supergirl nods and Lena stands up. She puts a drape over the door and Supergirl continues crying.

Lena walks back over to Supergirl and grabs her hand. "Get in the bed." "Are you s-" "I'm sure come on."

Supergirl lays under the covers and Lena sits on the bed, more thunder in the sky. "Ocean or forest?" Lena asks "Ocean?" Supergirl replies her voice cracking. Lena taps a few buttons on her phone and suddenly ocean noises are playing on a speaker.

The thunder seemed to stop and about 2 minutes later more comes from the sky. Supergirl grips the bedsheets tightly. Lena grabs Supergirls hand and squeezes it. Kara is blushing and she can't tell of her hand becoming more sweaty was from the thunder. When more thunder comes Kara holds onto Lenas hand tighter and pretty soon she's fast asleep snoring.

Supergirl wakes to feel a warm glow on her skin. She looks around the room not knowing where she is. No one else is in the room. Then she remembers last night. Mortified she looks around for Lena who enters in just at that moment.

"Oh good, you're awake. I made you some breakfast." Lena hands Supergirl a tray and smiles. It had pancakes, bacon, eggs, and French toast. "Oh.. wow..Le-" "Don't feel pressured to eat it all, whatever you don't eat I'll eat later." Supergirl shook her head. "Come sit down and eat some." "It's your breakfas-" "Don't make me beg."

Lena blushes and Supergirl winks. Kara is used to flirting with people while being Supergirl. She knows she can't date as Supergirl but it never stopped her from charming a few people now and then. It always made people happy and it gave Kara the type of confidence she never felt.

Lena sits down on the bed and has a bit of the French toast."Thank you so much Lena, I swear not just anyone would have done this." Lena giggles and Supergirl looks at Lena with her deep blue eyes, it even causes even Lena to stutter. "Yo-You're everyone's hero, I'm sure anyone would have." Supergirl now giggles and has a fork of eggs. "I don't think so. But today you, Lena Luthor are my hero." Lena blushes and Kara smiles.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" Lena asks and Kara pretends she doesn't have the slightest idea what Lena is on about. "The thunder, we don't have to if you don't wan-"

The door flings open and a bunch of people in black uniforms enter. "NCPD, FREEZE!"

A gun is pointed at Lena and Supergirl. Alex, Maggie and a bunch of officers are standing with weapons out ready to shoot. "Alex, Alex! Its ok im ok she was just helping me!" Everyone lowers their weapons and right after a bunch more people walk in.

A bunch of cameras are whipped out and photos of Supergirl and Lena on the bed are taken. "Supergirl has been caught in bed with the Lena Luthor! Is there anything the two of you want to say to my 3 million followers watching right now?" Lena blushes and Supergirl clears her throat, "uhh.. hi?"

Alex sighs and walks over to the camera people, "Walk out right now before I punch your camera." Everyone scurry's out and Lena embarrassed puts her head in her hands. "Supergirl let's go," Alex demands and Supergirl stands up from the bed. "Thank you Ms Luthor, truly." Lena nods still blushing and Kara walks out.

"What the actual heck!?" Alex says as they enter the elevator to head down. "I have to talk to you when we get to the DE-" "HSSTCHEW!" Supergirl sneezes turning her head away from Maggie and Alex. "Bless you little Danvers. Are you sick, I thought you couldn't get sick?" "She can't," Alex says and glares. "I think I solar flared," Kara says mildly embarrassed. "Well I'll go call a DEO van, you can't be seen out just walking around,"Alex says and picks up her phone.

A notification pops up from Catco and Alex reads it aloud. "Supergirl spotted in bed with Ms Luthor." Kara blushes and Maggie tries not to laugh. Alex sighs as she exits the elevator, "The DEO is gonna love this one."

The ride back to the DEO is silent, no one talks. Once they get back Kara is escorted into a check up room. "Did you use your powers a lot yesterday?" Kara shakes her head, "No, I don't really understand why I'm solar flaring to be honest?" Alex types some things into her computer that is sitting on a counter. "Solar flares can be a response to other things like anxiety and stress. I know how you get during thunder storms and because you were outside in the rain I think you caught a cold." Kara rubs her nose as it twitches, she has been holding back the urge to cough ever since she got inside.

"Kara! Oh thank God you're ok!" Kara feels a pair of arms wrap around her body. "It's good to see you to Luce," Kara says as Lucy presses her cheek against Kara's. Alex rolls her eyes, "I'll give you two some privacy, we are having a meeting with Haley in 5 minutes." Kara and Lucy both blush at what Alex was implying.

Alex walks out of the room and Maggie meets her at the front of the DEO. "So what do you think?" Maggie asks and Alex shrugs. "Of what?" "Kara's crush on the Luthor!" Alex rolls her eyes, "Come on Mags, I bet she's going to get with Lucy anyway. They both can't keep their hands off each other." Maggie nods, "Fair point." "Plus I like Lucy better then Lena, I don't really trust her. Now we have to clean up this whole Lena sleeping with Supergirl thing." Maggie rubs Alex's back and Alex sighs, "I'll keep you in my prayers."

"Are you ok?" Lucy asks and Supergirl nods. "I'm I just solar flared and have a cold." Lucy sighs and leans on Kara, "I know there was a thunderstorm last night. Kara talk to me." Kara opened her mouth and Alex entered the room. "Kara, Haley is ready."

Kara sighs and Lucy stands up with her. The pair walks into a DEO office and sees Colonel Haley with a stone cold face. Nia, Brainy, Maggie are sitting down and Alex motioned for Kara and Lucy to take a seat.

"So Supergirl many people have seen the recent post of you on CatCo news. A better way to put it is it's currently taking all news by storm." Supergirl opens her mouth to speak and Haley holds up a finger, "I'm not done. It's none of my business who you sleep with outside of your time at the DEO." Supergirl blushes, "I didn't-" "However," Haley says holding up her hand again. "While you are in the your Supergirl outfit you are representing this entire organization. One wrong move can jeopardize everything we are trying to do here."

Supergirl looks defeated and Lucy rubs her hand under the table. "So what do you plan to do?" Nia finally asks and Haley smirks. "I want Supergirl to date Ms Luthor under a signed contract made by the DEO." "WHAT!" "Wha." "HUH!" Lucy stops rubbing Kara's hand and let's go of it.

Kara who is already red blushes more and Alex stands up, "That is ridiculous! You are suggesting Supergirl be in a relationship as Supergirl with a woman?" "Supergirl already likes women."

Kara was Pansexual, back on Krypton no one had labels. They just dated whoever regardless of gender. On earth it was called Pansexual, she didn't keep it as a secret anymore. She told Alex a few years ago and of course she was fine with it. Everyone was just confused as to how Haley knew.

"Think about it, it's just a fake relationship it won't interfere with anything you have in your life outside the organization. Plus two women, especially a Super and a Luthor could spread a powerful message don't you think?" Supergirl sniffs and sighs, "What ..did Ms Luthor say about this?" "She's in, she agrees it will be beneficial to both your images," Haley says and Alex's jaw drops. "Can .. I have time to think about this?" Kara asks and Haley nods, "You have about a few days, meeting dismissed."
