Chapter 11
Gwen was happily humming as she warmed up a bowl of noodles.
"What's into you?" asked Nikolai, Gwen's giddiness piqued his interest.
"Guess!"
"Let's see, a new Marvel movie came out?"
"Nope"
"Hmm, a famous poet is coming for a visit?" he said intrigued.
"Close, we do have someone coming over"
Nikolai posed. "Is that so..." his grin growing.
"You better believe it, my brother Teddy is gonna come to HQ!"
Kotone entered the kitchen, scrimmaging for breakfast.
Her eyes widened as she laid her eyes on Gwen.
"Your hair!" she gasped.
"I thought I'd try out a pixie cut, like it?"
Kotone glared at Gwen's choppily cut hair. "It's wonderful" she said sarcastically.
Just then the doorbell rang.
Kuprum checked the security cameras. ">Someone's here!" he called.
Gwen dashed to the door, abandoning her bowl of noodles.
She yanked the door open.
"Gwen!" her brother exclaimed.
She exchanged a hug with her brother.
"I'm soo happy you're here!"
The remaining warriors came down to the foyer.
"This just be Theodore" inspected Nikolai.
"Guys I want you to meet my brother, Teddy"
"Hi!" piped Kotone.
"Pleasure to meet you" said Nikokai, taking a bow.
"Hello!" Hajime welcomed warmly.
"Hey" Luka said disinterested.
"Hiya" said Rui.
">Greetings" said Kuprum.
"Nice to meet you all, by the way did you do something with your hair?"
"Mmm hmm! I cut it by myself"
"We can tell" snarked Kotone.
Rui nudged his elbow into her.
Kotone mumbled. "Ow"
"Ugh, you could have finished this you know" said Luka, dumping out Gwen's noodles.
"I was gonna finish those!" griped Gwen.
"Next time make sure you actually do, we don't have enough food to be wasting"
Classic Gwen, thought Ted.
"How about I give you a tour?! You've gotta see this place"
"Sure, I don't mind"
Gwen grabbed his arm and dragged him across the halls.
"This is Rui and Hajime's room, they're roommates" said Gwen, pointing to their room.
Ted peeked through the door next to their room.
"And this must be yours"
"How'd you know?"
"The Marvel posters and merch give it away"
"If you wanna get more geeky, you should check out Kuprum's room" sneered Luka.
"No thanks, I smelt some kind of odor when we passed it"
">H-hey!" blurted Kuprum.
Luka continued. "I'm telling you that boy needs Febreze"
"Got it" said Hajime, waving a can.
Teddy was watching Gwen play Spider-Man 2.
"Mind if I have a go?"
"Sure, knock yourself out" she said, tossing her brother the remote.
Kotone was painting her nails.
"When I'm done with mine I can paint yours, I have your favorite" Kotone said, shaking a pink nail polish.
"In a sec, but man am I starving" Gwen said as her stomach grumbled.
"How about we get some pizza, it's half priced on Tuesdays" suggested Ted.
"Great idea, I'll call them now!" Hajime said eagerly.
Hajime dialed the pizza place.
"Pepperonis and mushrooms, please" said Ted
"Blech" said Gwen, sticking out her tongue.
Although her and her brother usually had the same tastes, but when it comes to Pizza Gwen prefers plain ol' cheese.
"Cheese for me" said Kotone.
">Hawaiian" said Kuprum proudly.
Everyone stared at him in disgust while he just smirked like a dork.
Minutes later the pizza arrived.
Hajime answered the door.
"Delivery for..."
"That would be us!" beamed Hajime.
The delivery girl looked quite similar to Clover Cookie. Although she clearly had a pizza theming rather than clovers.
"Your total will be 26.78"
Hajime searched the floors for change.
Luka reached into her wallet and threw a large stack at Pizza Cookie's head.
"That's-"
"Keep the change" said Luka.
Hajime smiled awkwardly as he watched Pizza Cookie walk back to her scooter.
He brought the pizzas inside.
Everyone grabbed slices of their respective pizza of choice.
Luka was about to take a bite when suddenly her Night Fever ringtone went off.
"I need to take this" she said, stepping into the next room.
"Hello?!" Luka said irritated.
"Well hello to you too Luka, anyways I'm here to notify you about your performance with Meiko tomorrow, you two are going to be Miku's opening act"
"Spectacular..." Luka said under her breath.
"It starts at 12:50, I'll come to pick you up in the morning"
"Whatever you say Cerise, see you tomorrow" Luka grumbled.
Luka hung up and threw her phone.
"What's that about?" asked Rui, walking in.
"My manager, she just told me about this concert I have tomorrow" she said nonchalantly.
"Miku, right? I have a back stage ticket"
"When the hell'd you get that?!"
"I'm a good friend of Miku's, she mailed it to me a few days ago"
"Whatever, just know you already have an unlimited meet and greet with the Luka Megurine"
Rui caught onto Luka's envy.
"You seem to be really upset about Miku, I thought you two were friends"
"We're associates, I'm only nice to her because I have to, but that's not like it matters since everyone adores her!"
"Cheer up, you're just as popular as her"
"As if! Shes our producers golden goose, she's sooo overated if you ask me, they don't know real talent when they see it" she huffed.
"Look on the bright side, this will be great exposure for you"
"Better than being a sellout I guess...but I need to make this a real spectacle"
"I'll see what I can whip up" Rui said excited at the idea he was making something.
"Perfect, I'll tell Cerise just make sure it's done by tomorrow"
Luka returned to her pizza as Rui headed to his lab to come up with something for the concert.
