Kept secrets
Evan and Pietro keep sneaking off. Pietro knows everyone is suspicious of this and is trying so hard to keep Evan in the dark about it. After Evan’s freak out confession he’s been jumpy about everything. The blue guy jumped out in front of them and he punch him in the face, something he’s never done before, more fight less flight. Hes easily agitated, too.
He’s calm when he’s around Pietro but everything that’s not Pietro seems to set him off. Yesterday Scott worked them hard in the training room and Evan snapped at him. When Evan told Pietro about what happened and about how bad he felt about it Pietro told him not to worry, that summers had it coming eventually. Today they both skipped school making even the brotherhood question where they went. Lance was annoyed with being tasked to go find Pietro and kitty was just as annoyed when she was tasked with finding Evan.
“ you too, huh?” Lance had asked when he saw kitty get left behind. Kitty shakes her head “ why is it whenever someone is missing either it’s me or Kurt going to find them. I mean honestly it’s just fucking annoying. What if I had plans after school. Evan is a big boy I shouldn’t have to go and find him.” Kitty just word vomits as lance steps up beside her “ I get what you mean, if Pietro wants to beat up Evan or vice versa why do I have to go find him?” He shakes his head. They set off, lance offers to carry kittys books and kitty giggles and agrees. Lance has been very kind as of recent. In fact all of the brotherhood was kind as of recent. Lance had asked kitty on a date, toad helped Kurt get his lunch back when some dickheads threw it up on the roof and Wanda offered rouge a cool spiky bracelet.
It was like something clicked in all of their heads and the kindness meter was set to medium instead of low, they even stopped the fights. No more collateral damage, random fires and having to put on those stupid suits just to punch someone in the face. It was nice being sort of friends.
They looked for them at the park, the ice cream place, therefore shop, the mall, the arcade, shit they even checked the school again just in case but they weren’t anywhere “ at this point we should just give up, like, I’m tired and I did in fact have plans today.” Kitty complains and lance chuckles “ it’s weird Pietro hasn’t wandered off in a while and no one’s called him as far as I can tell.” Lance wonders for a second before he gets an idea “ where was the last place we fought each other?” Kitty stares for a second and then thinks real hard, it’s been a second “ um, I think it was the collapsed building.” Lance nods, unzipping his bag and sticking kittys books in his pretty much empty backpack, rezipping it and then picking up kitty. Kitty lets out a surprised noise and then laughs as lance carries her off like she’s made of feathers.
Lance was right about that collapsed building being where Pietro and Evan had gone, it’s just odd. They find their bags sitting together, but then they find their shoes and then their pants and then their shirts and then they hear the loud moaning and kitty gets what’s happening fast and tells lance “ ohh, they’re having sex. Not exactly what I was expecting but I’m happy it’s this and not one on one fights.” Kitty turns to look at the wall between them and Pietro and Evan. Lance nods “ I guess I’m giving Tabitha a twenty, it was running bet but I guess it had to end eventually.” Kitty giggles “ or we could go on that date now or not, I know you have plans.” Lance suggests and kitty giggles again “ yeah, alright, Jean can wait for training I just need to stop by a pay phone before so she knows.” Lance nods and they begin to walk off when lance trips yells and then Pietro and Evan are going silent.
Kitty sighs and yells at them “ don’t worry we’re leaving, just don’t be late for dinner. It’s taco night!” Lance is back up and taking hold of kittys hand and walking away with her.
It was embarrassing and Evan looked mortified. Pietro was staring at the wall between them. They picked this place cause it was the safest part of town. It was out of the way, secluded and was damaged so no one would want to mess around over here. When they went there the first time they brought blankets and food. They put up an umbrella at one point and then pillow that no one would miss. It was a nice spot for them. No enough for a quick fuck and that’s what they did a lot. A lot.
Pietro seems to be panicking “ you better not tell anyone.” He says and he gets a somewhat distant ‘yeah, yeah’ from lance and Pietro takes a hand down his face and smiles at Evan “ well that went better than I thought it would have.” Evan shakes his head “ I told you they would be cool about, we already have crazy super powers might as well be gay on top of that.” Pietro let’s out a belly laugh and just keeps going.
Evan has been really happy since his break down. Pietro likes to cuddle and talk to him about his problems and talk about his problems. Evan gives him extra food during lunch and they’ve been wandering off it’s nice. They have lunch in the library and he knows he shouldn’t like when Pietro steals thing for him but it’s still really nice. A cookie, some fast food, a new pair of pants at one pint after Pietro ripped his to eat his to eat him out. It was a crazy turn on.
Of course there was a down side to his newly found good fortune. He was getting aggressive about some things. He’s been keeping all his agitations to himself for so long and now it’s all just coming out. He punched Kurt for bamfing in front of him, he called Scott a control freak, he told his aunt to hop off his ass when she asked what’s up with him and then slammed the door. He feels bad about it, sure, but he’s kinda just tired of everyone and is ready to just lets out his frustrations rather than keep it bottled up. The professor said he was proud of him cause if anyone at least kinda deserved to know if he was ok it was the professor. It was odd, though, waking up and finding a whole rainbow cake on his nightstand with a note saying ‘ proud of you, I think it will be good for the others to know when your ready, of course.’ It was nice to have the support.
Pietro rolls off him and stares up at the sky “ I think the brotherhood is going to break up.” He says it like it’s a fact and not a speculation “ oh, yeah? What makes you think that?” Evan asks but he thinks he already knows.
The entire brotherhood seems nicer. Not only have they complained about not having food at the house, but how they have been treated as of recent. Tabitha left and Wanda and Pietro are trying to get along, but things just keep happening. Mystique has been awful to talk to and awful to be around. Not to mention Pietro’s father has been making things hard “ everyone’s hungry, lance and kitty are dating, me and Wanda are trying to repair our relationship and Fred doesn’t want to be seen as a bad person anymore. He was made fun of for most of his life and says he’s done with that.” Pietro rolls over to cuddle with Evan “ do you wanna come stay with us? Maybe? I’d like to cuddle in an actual bed. And I want you to meet my aunt formally.” Evan snuggles his face in Pietro’s chest “ yeah, I would like that.”.
