And in enters the bullies and a mysterious saviour!

After wandering around the vibrant and cluttered streets of her city, Jade eventually reached a street on the very outskirts of New York where her fancy school resided. Not to be sappy or anything but the building was magnificent, looking less like a modern institution but like a castle. The bricks that made up the place were a dusty brown shade, similar to that of sand, and the spires spiraled towards the sky, the refurbished rooves glinting in the sunlight. In front of the ginormous building (for scale, it was about the size of an American football pitch) was a well-kept yard, half the size of the actual school and pure concrete guarded by a gate that just screamed wealth. 100% silver, polished 'til you could see your reflection in it, the tips encrusted with gems. Only the children of rich, pompous asshole usually go here. And unfortunately, Jade was the offspring of one of them. And yet you still chose to get in with a scholarship. An idiotic decision.

"Yeah, I know that I made more work for myself than necessary but I would rather eat a bull's balls raw than get any help from that witch." She confirms, able to speak more freely because there's less people around this area. She would not us any money that her poor excuse of a mother offered, just as a 'fuck you' to the woman. She can't forgive her for moving on so easily since if she was loyal to the best man in the world, she wouldn't have gotten in a relationship with her sleazy coworker two goddamn weeks after his death. Can't or won't?

Choosing not to answer that question and suddenly becoming aware that she'll be late if she kept on standing there, Jade got back on her way, quickening her pace to at least ensure that she'll be on time. However, the moment she made it past the gate, a clumsy but heavy fist connected with the side of her head. Looked like the game's already began.

"Welcome back, mutt." Sneered a deep voice that could only belong to Kyle, a senior that looked like he should have a job by now. Despite him being a brute, he had the appearance of a refined gentleman with his slicked back blonde hair, light stubble, clear skin, designer clothes along with expensive accessories and smug bitch expression. Behind him stood two girls looking just as well off as him. The brunette (Jessica) was wearing a black, short-sleeve turtle neck with a plaid cropped jacket and a skirt of the same material while the one with dyed light pink hair (Emma) bore a white neck halter top with black flares with some Gucci shoes. All in all, they definitely not flaunting their wealth as much as last term but enough that you know they have more money than you.

"Kyle. Emma. Jessica." Jade, who already felt her rage with simmering, greeted curtly. "Starting this year off strong, I see."

Jessica scoffed. "Not just starting strong but hoping to end on the first, you mangy mongrel."

"Still calling me a dog? Really? I'm guessing you're unable to make up something new."

"The moment you stop acting like a filthy stray is the moment we stop calling you by what you are, mutt." Emma added in, the group closing in like vultures to a carcass except without waiting to invite others. "Kyle, babe, grab her."

In less than a second, Kyle's fist hit Jade in the stomach, making her double over as his other hand grabbed her hair and pushed onto her knees. Gritting her teeth, Jade forced herself to meet Jessica's, who was now standing right in front of her, gaze. "Are you filming, Emma?" The bully questioned, bending down to get all up in her victim's face. She was close enough that Jade could smell the vanilla and citrus wafting off her, making the dark haired girl gag. Fuck, that shit is potent. It's a surprise no one else can smell it. "Make sure to cut out our faces. We're about to show this mutt what happens when you mess with us."

Could she be any more cliché? Jade didn't have time to respond as a slender hand grasped her throat, tightening it to make it difficult to breathe. Panic rose within her as she realised that this wasn't a petty prank or half-assed attack. This was serious. They planned to properly hurt her. "A little help here?" Jade muttered under her breath so no one but the symbiote, who wasn't doing shit for some stupid reason, could hear her. Sorry. I can't reveal myself to other humans. Damnit!

Recognising that she couldn't just ignore them this time, she instinctively scratched at her aggressors arm and to her surprise, there was yelp and the pressure let up, greedily gasping for air as she dared a glance at Jessica. Running along her arm were shallow but bleeding thin cuts in the path that her nails, which now had a similar appearance to claws, took. "Um, Viper..." She whispered, keeping her voice loe as to not bring Jessica, who still has her hand around Jade's neck, out of her shock. Don't put the blame on me. I've got nothing to do with this. I just enhance your strength and speed so far. Something else is at play here.

Jade didn't have time to dwell on this though because the brunette increased the pressure on her throat again, letting out a low chuckle as she did. "Well, well, the mutt's got claws now, hmm? I thought you said you were above useless accessories. Pretty acrylics, though. You've got to get me your nail artist. A bit too sharp for activities lesbo like you would want to do to someone like me." Jessica sneered, thankfully assuming that the sudden nail growth was just fake nails that they didn't notice. Hold up, someone like her...? Are you getting choked out by this girl or getting flirting with? Realising what she just said, she turned her head to Emma, who was still recording, keeping her grip strong on Jade's neck. "Emma, cut that part out—"

"Excuse me. Not to interrupt but what exactly are you doing to that girl?"
