Chapter 3
A couple of months have passed since Thomas decided to help lady and things have definitely changed in the air.
lady’s new outfit drew attention to herself even though she was still wearing her illusion creating glasses. Everybody marvels at her sense of style and she just told them that she went to a really good shop that knew exactly the outfit she needed.
Daisy did not like the attention lady was getting and began bullying her even more… or at least attempting to. Lady just completely ignored her no matter what she did. even making her trip and insulting her didn't work.
But what really got under her fur was that she and Thomas seemed to be getting closer.
She had seen them on multiple occasions hanging out or practising for the play and she didn't like that.
One day they were rehearsing the final battle between Lady and Daisy. They had done the scene Prior to the battle but Daisy did not remember anything thanks to her spell that she used to implant the play into her mind. Now she only wanted to teach lady a lesson.
Everybody that didn't need to be On stage was sitting in the seats watching the actresses .
Timothy: “and action!”
Both lady and Daisy switched to their Beast forms And began fighting. but it had all been choreographed so they wouldn't actually be hurting each other.
lady was constantly dodging some of these attacks while trying to attack herself with special spells that wouldn't really do anything but look pretty flashy.
but soon Daisy’s attacks began getting more violent and she was actually doing some damage to Lady.
Thomas was on the edge of his seat because he couldn't figure out if this was part of the plan or Daisy Just wanted it to look a little bit more realistic. but then Daisy bit into lady’s neck And Lady let out a Yell of pain. That's when Thomas jumped onto the stage and transformed into his own fox form and blasted daisy with A crystal Beam to get daisy off her.
And before anybody could check on lady she immediately began running to one of the dressing rooms and everybody heard a loud bang followed by a click sound. lady had locked herself in the dressing room.
Thomas was concerned about Lady but he had another girl he had to worry about.
Thomas: “ What in the name of King godred were you thinking Daisy! you are supposed to pretend to attack lady ,not attack her For real and cause injuries!”
Daisy just had a smirk on her face: “ I needed to make sure she understood where she belonged.”
Thomas with crystals forming around his paws: “ I don't think that means what you think it means Daisy. And I will be reporting this attack to the Principal!”
Daisy just continued smirking: “ that won't do much good. my dad will be able to sweep this under the rug and make it seem like she attacked me.”
Before Thomas could say anything Amelia jumped onto the stage in her human form.
Amelia: “considering the fact that Thomas has more Witnesses to the accident then you have to your story I think we will be able to make this stick no matter how much money your father throws at the Principal.”
Thomas: “and if you remember I am in charge of assigning your grades for this and I can and I will lower them for this. ( he looks to everybody else) in light of this accident Rehearsals won't be continuing. if you guys want to go home you can go home.”
Everybody began packing up their things to prepare to go home. all except for Thomas. He just looked at the door towards the dressing room backstage with a concerned look on his face. That's when somebody tapped on his shoulder. He turned around to see Daisy standing there with a sickly sweet smile.
Daisy: “hey Thomas how about you and I go out tonight just the two of us? I'm sure I can give you a good time.”
Daisy waggles her eyebrows In a manner that suggests less than innocent activities if he said yes.
Thomas just gave Daisy an angry look: “ I am never going to hang out with you! You are nothing but a bully and you are only interested in the money my family has, not me! so don't think you can pull the wool over my eyes and think I'm just a sucker for a pretty face! now he did you. Leave. me. Alone. Or I will show you what I am really capable of! now scram!”
Daisy looked completely taken aback. he had expected Thomas to just be like all the other boys that were basically throwing themselves at her feet just to be in her presence. but Thomas wasn't like anybody else. Although she wanted to continue, the glare she got from him made her back off.
After that Thomas calmed himself down and went to the dressing room and he could hear somebody Crying from within. Thomas gently gave the door a knock which stopped the crying for a while.
Lady: “ Who is there?”
Thomas: “ it's me Thomas. I just want to check on you and make sure you're alright. can you please let me in?”
Lady unlocked the door and Thomas entered seeing lady crying on the floor in a corner. Thomas immediately went to her and gave her a reassuring hug.
Thomas: “ It's ok lady. It's ok. just breathe in and breathe out. She won't hurt you when I am around. I promise you.”
lady just kept crying into his shoulder: “ why does she have to be like this? Why can't she accept that I don't want to have anything to do with her?”
Thomas: “ I don't know. but would it make you feel better if I walked you home?”
Lady: “yes… I don't want to be alone right now. I don't trust her not to come after me again.”
After that Thomas gently began helping her out of the dressing room and onto the stage where to their surprise all of their friends still stood waiting for them.
Thomas: “ What are you guys still doing here? why aren't you going home?”
Alice: “ because we care about lady and wanted to know if she was alright.”
Rosie: “yes! What Daisy did is unacceptable!”
Gordon: “It was disgraceful!
James: “disgusting!”
Henry: “Despicable!”
Edward: “ and so much more! so we decided to help Walker Home.”
lady feels incredibly touched by the words of her friends.
Thomas and Lady walk down towards they're friends and Nia hands over lady’s bag.
Nia: “ here you go lady.”
Lady: “ Thank you Nia.”
After that everyone helped lady get home. Even though the street was dark she felt safe because her friends were with her.
After a while they arrived at lady's house which wasn't very big, only having two stories and looked like it needed a new coat of paint.
lady went up to the door And unlocked the door with her key. but before she opened it she looked back at her friends.
Lady: “ thank you for coming with me to my home guys… I really appreciate it.”
Percy: “ It was nothing lady. I bet you would have done the same for us.”
Lady chuckles: “ probably Percy.”
lady then began thinking as her friends were Leaving to go back to their homes.
Lady shouting: “if you guys want you guys can stay here overnight? you know as me thanking you guys for helping me? I mean if that's good with all of you and your parents?”
All of her friends looked at each other and then collectively nodded at her.
Henry: “I don't mind staying. as long as I can sleep in your backyard?”
Edward: “Both me and Tara would have a long flight home so sleeping here won't be a problem for us.”
Thomas: “ and I'm pretty sure all our parents would rather we stay with a friend then go out at night on our own. even if we are powerful Beasts it doesn't mean we are safe at night.”
lady felt incredibly happy at her friend's responses. but there was another reason why lady wanted them to stay overnight at her house. because she wanted to Repay them for all of their Kindness over the years and their willingness to help her.
All of her friends called their parents and they all agreed to the impromptu slumber party Especially since it was the weekend and none of them would have school the next day. All of their parents teleported sleeping equipment to them and wished them a happy slumber party.
When they all entered they noticed that the inside of the house wasn't much better than the outside but it was still very much livable it just desperately needed some repairs.
lady’s mother lux aurea And her father jackland were also very happy to have them and promised they would Get some pizza for them delivered.
The slumber party actually went very well and everyone was having a good time.
Thomas, Timothy and Amelia were sitting in the kitchen talking to lady’s parents about what happened today while lady herself was playing some video games with her friends.
lux aurea Just lets out a sigh: “ that Daisy is completely insane. why would she attack my daughter like that?”
Timothy: “ we personally don't know. Nobody in our group likes her. She is just a rich spoilt brat that thinks just because she has so much money that she can do anything she wants and that she is better than the rest of us.”
Jackland: “And she continues to pick on lady. Even though she doesn't want to have anything to do with Daisy.”
Thomas: “ yes. and I have been trying to teach lady how to handle her bully and build up her confidence but Daisy Always manages to knock her back down. I just want Lady to be happy. She has suffered enough at the hands of Daisy and her family. and I am sure any other member of Daisy's family is just as cruel.”
Lux aurea: “ not exactly Thomas.”
Thomas gave Lux aurea a curious look: “ what do you mean?”
Lux aurea: “ Daisy’s father is my brother.”
All three of the teenagers looked shocked at Lux aurea. They could not believe that Daisy and lady are actually related.
Lux aurea chuckled: “ yes it's true. Daisy and Lady are cousins. And just so you know Daisy's mother is also a very nice woman. Daisy just takes more After her father than her mother.”
Amelia: “ What do you mean? what is her father like?”
Lux aurea: “ her father George Rose like I said is my brother and He was very selfish And only cared about himself. We didn't get along as we were growing up. He would want all of my toys even if he didn't like them. and he would also want all my money that I saved up doing chores while he just sat on his ass all day. My parents did try to teach them responsibility and never gave into his selfish attitude. In fact every time he stole money from me and used it to buy a new toy my parents would give it to me saying that “ she worked for the money so it is her toy” of course my brother always threw a tantrum when this happened even though I offered to give him the toy back. he never learn to get past his selfish phase. even when we entered High School he felt that every single girl should just be begging him at his feet to be his girlfriend.”
Amelia: “ That is absolutely disgusting!”
Lux aurea: “ that's what I thought as well. and as you can guess pretty much none of the girls gave him as Second of their time… except one girl Eliza Rose was a pretty naive girl that fell for my brother's charms and pretty much got stuck being his girlfriend. and overtime he became a very abusive boyfriend. Even after all of us graduated he still was an abusive boyfriend.
our parents weren't very pleased with him but were pleased with me. I had graduated top of my class while my brother barely graduated. I was in a perfectly steady relationship and was engaged. But as my and Jack’s wedding day approached we decided not to invite my brother. but we did decide on inviting Eliza. She enjoyed the experience very much and in fact it finally inspired her to stand up to him and actually broke up the relationship after giving birth to Daisy. she did want full custody of Daisy but sadly George had friends in high places… very corrupt friends in high places and was able to get full custody of Daisy without giving her the right to see her own daughter.”
Both Thomas and Timothy look shocked.
Thomas: “ That is absolutely terrible…”
Lux aurea gave Thomas a sad look: “ that isn't even the worst part… My parents were dying a couple of years back when Lady was still 5 years old. they told me they had left everything to my daughter and me since we “Deserve it” according to them. but when they died That very same day and their will was read they left everything to him. I could not believe it. my parents would have never given him everything. in fact they even told me they had cut him out of the will because he kept demanding money from them. so it was completely insane to me that they would leave everything to my brother after telling me all of that. I tried to fight it and try to get a lawyer but sadly I didn't have the money available at the time and no lawyer on sodor would take our case. even some of the cheaper ones. I have always suspected he bribed them to basically ignore my case. but sadly I have no proof. He eventually starts his own business which became very popular and then also used all of his money and Influence to basically get me kicked out of my job and any other I have had for the last decade. and I know it is him because he's always Bragged about it to me Everytime I was fired. Hack the only reason I still have a job is because of your parents Thomas and Timothy. They Gave me a job and wouldn't fire me no matter what. Even though they didn't have a high paying position for me I'm still grateful for the work. but still… I wish I could get that money back from my brother and give lady the life she deserves. or at least take away the power of my brother and his daughter have over our lives… that's all I want.”
The three teenagers were incredibly sad to hear about Lux aurea’s story. She was clearly a woman that cared more about her daughter than the money she rightfully deserved. and they desperately wish they could help.
At that moment Amelia had an idea: “ will you excuse me for a second I have to go to the bathroom.”
Jackland: “ ok it's down the hall first or to your left.”
Amelia stood up: “ thank you.”
After Amelia had left for the bathroom the rest of the group had decided that it was time to go to bed because it was already getting late.
Most of her friends were sleeping in the living room but Thomas and Timothy were sleeping in the guest room. Amelia has not yet returned from her bathroom visit even though it had been an hour. Timothy wasn't really concerned because he knew that his girlfriend could handle herself and would ask for help when she needed it.
Thomas meanwhile was happily sleeping when he suddenly was awoken by groaning coming from the hallway.
Timothy was still fast asleep and was in a really deep sleep so Thomas didn't have to worry about waking him up by leaving the guest room.
He followed the groaning sound towards Lady’s Room. He gently opened the door but before peaking in he listened carefully to make sure she wasn't having a private moment. but it wasn't that kind of groaning. It was more like she was having some kind of a bad dream. Thomas Finally looked inside and saw lady tossing and turning in her bed Muttering to herself in a panic state.
Thomas immediately went into the room and decided to try and wake her up.
Thomas: “ lady. It's ok. Lady. just wake up.”
Thomas was also gently rocking her back and forth to try and wake her up.
Lady then immediately shot awake with a heavy breath. She noticed Thomas sitting next to her and immediately hugged him. Thomas noticed a small amount of tears coming from her eyes.
Lady: “ Thomas it was horrible! Daisy was everywhere! just ready to attack me anywhere at any time and nobody was there to defend me and I couldn't do anything! And… and… and…”
Thoms Just gently began rubbing her back and giving her soothing words.
Thomas: “ It's ok lady. It's ok. I won't let anything bad happen to you. I care about you too much to let anything happen to you.”
lady looked up at Thomas with her tear filled eyes: “you really mean it?”
Thomas gently began blushing: “Yeah you're one of my best friends. and I don't let anything happen to my best friends! I promise you lady one day you won't have to worry about Daisy anymore.”
Lady felt a bit of Hope in her chest. Even though she knew that it would be a long battle to face her bully she knew she had friends that were willing to stand by her no matter what.
After lady had calmed down enough Thomas was going to leave to go to the back of the guest room. but lady gently grabbed his hand and stopped him.
Thomas looks back to see Lady in her fox form with big puppy dog eyes.
Lady: “ can you please stay here… I don't want to be alone and as long as we don't do anything stupid I don't think my parents would mind.”
Thomas was hesitant at first… but looking at lady’s eyes was too much to resist.
the two of them did end up sleeping together. but they did have a pair of eyes on them.
Lux aurea and Jackland were looking at the two of them gently sleeping together in their fox forms. The two of them couldn't help but smile. They knew that Thomas would be a good influence on lady despite his cheekiness from time to time.
Meanwhile outside of the house Amelia ( who had snuck out of the bathroom without anybody noticing) was on her phone trying to call someone.
after a couple of rings they picked up.
Amelia: “hello again it's good to hear you. (Listens to the person on the other end) yes yes I am doing good but listen I need your help with something. and it is something that only you can help me with. That requires your expertise. (Listens to the person on the other end). It's for a friend of mine that has had her inheritance stolen by a greedy man and could really use that money. (Listens to the person on the other end). so you will do it for free? (Listens to the person on the other end). Thank you. I will send you the information right after this call. Thank you for doing this. (Listens to the person on the other end and had a smirk on her face by the end of it). Yes I will also be calling her. she is going to love this.”
After a little bit more back and forth between Amelia and her mysterious friend she hung up and sent the required information That her mysterious friend needed.
When she was done she looked up into the sky at the moon with a big smile on her face.
Amelia: “ Daisy Rose, enjoy your life while it lasts.”
She then went Inside to sleep with her boyfriend.
