After the weekend was over all of them returned to school but kept a close eye on what Daisy was doing. not letting her out of their sight.
Of course they did report the attack to the Principal. Principal Topham hatt Did have a word with Daisy that if she did it again that she would be suspended since it wasn't her first offence on school grounds.
Lady’s friends were happy to hear this. All of them did continue to prepare for the play. but they decided to leave the fight scene for now Alone.
things were quiet for a while.
Thomas and his friends alongside lady and her friends were sitting in their history class listening to an old owl Man named Duke talking about the story of Culdee and Godred.
Duke: “Culdee was a very noble king who felt that his greatness was only secondary to that of his people. He considered himself a servant King and helped people with a kind heart but knew when to be firm and strict with his subjects.
Godred was one of his most loyal Knights and was fascinated with the ideals of his King. Culdee took a liking to the young night and made him his student and taught him everything he knew.
Godred Took all of it in and became like a son to culdee. So much so that when the Vikings tried to invade Sodor and chase them all the way up to the mountains and fatally wounded him, he made Godred his successor since he lacked an heir.
Godred in Honour of his teacher and King named the mountain after him. the mountain that we know today as culdee fell.
Godred went on to lead his Fallen Kings Kingdom. but he did it in a more unconventional way. Instead of outrider leading he began leaving them from The Shadows living the life of a civilian to better understand what his people needed. And because of that he was able to invent some laws that today may seem a bit Extreme but have been able to Keep peace on our Island.
And according to legend his descendants still rule from the Shadows to this very day.”
At that moment the bell went off and Duke gave them their assignments to be handed in next week.
lady and her friends got up from their seats and made their way towards their lockers.
lady was temporarily walking alone towards her locker in deep thoughts about the assignments she had been given when she accidentally bumped into somebody.
Lady: “ I am so sorry I didn't mean to bump… into… you…”
Lady’s apology stopped right as she noticed Who she had accidentally bumped into. It was her uncle! George Rose.
George Rose looked absolutely Furious at lady which made her shiver. but despite this fact he was actually just a little bit smaller than lady herself and wasn't very muscular. and he had many grey hairs in his Dark green hair and on his Dark green fox tales.
George Rose in an angry tone: “ you better be sorry for what you did. how dare you accuse Daisy of attacking you!”
lady gathered up what courage she had at the moment to confront her uncle.
Lady: “ because she actually did assault me uncle.”
George Rose Screaming: “ lies! You are telling lies! you're going to come with me to the principal's Office and tell you lied about what Daisy did!”
He had just grabbed lady's arm when another arm grabbed him and pushed him away.
George stumbled for a bit until he was able to get his balance back and look at the person who pushed him away.
It was Thomas with an equally Furious look on his face.
Thomas: “ she isn't lying about Anything because everybody at the rehearsals testified for her! and you better watch what you do to her! she has friends that are willing to put down their very lives to protect her!”
George Rose just began laughing: “ like you I suppose?”
Thomas with a very confident smirk: “ yes I would definitely be willing to put down my life if it means I protect her.”
George Rose also began smirking after hearing that and pulled out his wallet and pulled out a thick stack of cash easily worth 100,000 pounds.
George Rose: “How about this? if you leave her and go out with my daughter this and much more Could Be Yours?”
Lady was concerned at seeing how much money he was offering Thomas. She wasn't sure if he would pick the money over her and was already making plans to retreat when Thomas slapped the money out of his hands.
Thomas in an annoyed tone: “ you really think I would go out with a spoiled brat like your daughter just because you paid me to? then you really underestimated the values The Billington family has. We do not abandon our friends for any reason! the least of all for money!”
George Rose began shaking with rage until something came to his mind and he began smirking.
George Rose: “ you know I could make sure you never get a job on this island? I can make sure you will never ever ever get accepted to any job on the island no matter what. unless you date my daughter and leave this ugly piece of meat here.”
George Rose was expecting Thomas to be shocked and do as he said. but to both his and lady’s surprise Thomas just burst out laughing.
Thomas: “ you do realize I am the child of Howard and Tanya Billington? the people in charge of the biggest company on sodor? I am practically guaranteed to have a job with them and there's nothing you can do about that. they don't take bribes they won't listento anyone about silly rumors without evidence that cannot be disputed in court. They are very thorough when researching their employees and if they are found not to be suitable for the company they do not hire them. and considering they have known me for my entire life I am pretty sure that I'm more than qualified for a position in the company. and they also don't respond well to threats. so don't think you can just threaten them with anything. you can do nothing to ruin mine or my brother's futures. and don't think you can take lady’s mom's job away from her. She is working for my parents now and they will not fire her unless she herself under her own power does something wrong without outside interference and they're also very furrow about that too. Now you better leave us alone or I will make sure that the police are here about this little conversation we have had. I'm pretty sure they'll be willing to listen to me.”
George Rose then was the one laughing: “ you seriously think they're going to listen to you? I have every single police force on the island in my pocket. I can do anything I want without any consequences because I know everyone in high positions and all of them are in my pocket! judges, cop’s, prominent business figures I know everyone that can make sure I will never go to prison. Ever!”
Thomas began mimicking the hand motion of talking: “ talk talk Talk talk talk talk that's all you are talk. and don't be so comfortable with the power you think you have. anybody can take it away from you in an instant and they don't even need a lot of money to do it. Besides, remember that anybody can request a court proceeding by king and queen on this island? And I'm pretty sure they won't take bribes from anyone.”
George Rose once again began smirking: “ anybody can be swayed over with enough money. there is nothing I can't do or be allowed to do and the same goes from my daughter. now either the two of you accept that and accept your place in this world or I will make other arrangements and I can promise you you won't like them.”
George Rose then began walking away. When he was gone Thomas turned towards lady.
Thomas: “ lady are you okay?”
Lady just began hugging him.
Lady: “ thank you, thank you, thank you! I was so worried that you would go for the money and not me! That you would throw me aside like many of my former friends did!”
Thomas just gave a gentle smile and hugged back: “ like I said we billingtons have a high sense of morality. we won't abandon our friends for any amount of money. besides only 100,000 pounds? our friendship is worth way more than that.”
Lady Began chuckling at his remark: “ how much is the value of our relationship?”
Thomas Breaking the hug and gently brushing her cheek: “ more than all the gold, Diamonds, Emeralds, Sapphires, rubies, amethysts, pears, lapis lazilies, peridot And platinum in the world.”
lady just chuckled and the two of them went to their next class. The two of them did not know that a certain blue Fox was standing behind a corner using her phone to record the entire conversation they had with George Rose that very minute. she couldn't help but smirk as she saw the two of them walking together, their hands intertwined.
Amelia with a smirk: “ those two are perfect for each other. and George Rose you better take Thomas's advice to heart (Sents the video to her mysterious partners) because one day soon you will discover how easy it is to lose the power you think you have.”
