A man dressed in red and blue was swinging on a web from the web shooter he created on his wrist. He leaped off of the web into an alleyway in a flash, because he was in a huge rush. “How am I already sooo late for my date with Mary Jane”? The man said, throwing his suit off and quickly putting on his regular clothes. “She’s gonna end up dumping me for sure. I mean I’ve already canceled our last few dates.” He stuffed his suit in a backpack he was carrying and rushed to get to the restaurant he was supposed to meet Mary Jane at. ‘Maybe I should just tell her I’m Spider-Man' He thought to himself as he came up to the restaurant. 'If I tell her I wouldn’t have to make excuses anymore. Then again she might want to get involved in my crime fighting if she knows, and she would be at a huge risk. Especially if my enemies found out she knew’ He thought to himself as he came up to the restaurant. As he was deep in thought he bumped into Mary Jane, who was just about to leave.
“Peter Parker!” She said to him angrily “Where have you been! Don’t make up some kind of excuse either. Tell me the truth!”
‘Well I was saving a bus full of people from falling off the Brooklyn Bridge,but you’ll probably see that on the news later.’ Peter wanted to say but ended up coming up with an excuse instead. “I’m sorry MJ I didn’t mean to be so late. I was walking here, and there was this crazy accident and I had to take the long way…” Peter said before Mary Jane cut him off
“Peter, if you really love me then why do you always either show up late to our dates, or sometimes not show up at all?” She said calming down a little. “And why do you always randomly disappear when we are together?”
“I…” Peter said wanting to just tell her the truth, but not being able to.
“Just forget it Peter. I don’t think we can be together anymore.” Mary Jane said fed up with Peter always leaving her alone.
“MJ I’m sorry I’ll try to do better I promise” Peter said feeling regretful.
“You always say that, but you never do” Mary Jane said walking away. “And don’t call me MJ!” She called to him while leaving. He wanted to run after her but as soon as he walked out the door his spider sense tingled and alerted him to a huge explosion coming from the bank Nearby.
“Just my luck!” He said to himself as he ran into a nearby alley to change into his Spider-Man suit. At the bank a crew of men and a man in a huge rhino suit had just blown a hole into the floor after robbing the vault, to escape without having to deal with the many police officers waiting outside.
“Ready to go boss” One of the men said.
“Yeah, even though I would normally pummel right through those officers.” Rhino said, a little disappointed. “But I don’t want to lose ANY money this time, so this will have to do.”
“That sounds like a good idea, but I’m not sure you’d fit through that hole!” Spider-Man said descending from the roof on a web line. “Spider-Man! How did you know we were here!” Rhino said angrily, because he was caught.
“I’d say it was good luck, and definitely not the huge hole you just blew in the ground!” Spider-Man said sarcastically.
“Why you little!” Rhino said, dropping the money and charging toward him. Spider-Man jumped over him, shooting two web lines onto his back and pulled towards him hitting him on the back. Rhino crashed into a wall falling forward, while his men pulled out their guns to shoot Spider-Man. Before they could shoot him a portal opened and two green and yellow droids came out right in front of them.
“What are those things?” one of the men asked.
“I don’t know but they just got in our way!” They shot at the droids and their bullets bounced off. The droids then started shooting laser beams at the men from their hands. Spider-Man turned around after webbing up the Rhino before he could get back up, and saw the droids.
‘What are those things?’ He thinks to himself before realizing what they were doing. “Stop, you're going to kill them!” Spider-Man screams not wanting anyone to die. The droids then stop and shoot out a gas that knocks Spider-Man out.
In another universe…
Five henchmen walk out of a warehouse that was shipping chemicals. “That was too easy!” One of the men said joyfully.
“Don’t say that!” One of the other men said.
“What? it was!” The first man said.
“You’ll jinx us.” The second one said fearfully. “Batman could show up any minute.”
“You worry too much, how could he know we’re here?” A third man said.
“He has a habit of showing up unexpectedly” The second man said, trembling.
“If Batman does show up he’ll get to try my new toxin.” A man with a black trench coat, light brown sack mask, and a black hat, said coming out of the building. “Give me the chemicals” He ordered his men. He then started mixing them together in the truck they used to get there. Just as he was finished putting the mixture in the syringes on a glove, a Batarang came flying down knocking one of the men out, after it hit him in the head.
“Oh man. He’s here!” The second man said running away. Batman jumped down from one of the buildings, and landed on top of one of the criminals knocking him out. His dark gray suit with black gloves, boots,and cowl, was shown off as he came into the light. One of the men charged at him,but he grabbed him and threw him into another man who was pulling out his gun. Batman then took out his grappling hook and shot it at the man who was running away. It grabbed onto his coat and Batman pulled him back using the grapple hook, and the man was knocked out after hitting the ground. The man called Scarecrow lunged at Batman trying to stab him with his syringes. Batman dodged the attack by rolling behind him. Batman then kicked him in the back, making him hit a wall and tumble to the floor.
“Well that was impressive Batman, but I don’t fail so easily” Scarecrow said as Batman took the glove off of him, and got his handcuffs out.
“Save it, Scarecrow you’re done!” Batman said sternly. As Batman started to handcuff Scarecrow, he took a spare syringe of the new toxin out of his trench coat with his free hand and stabbed Batman in the leg, injecting him with the toxin that was inside.
“You should be honored to be my first test subject, this toxin will change the world!” Scarecrow said with great joy in his voice. Batman took out his grappling hook and shot it at the building in front of him to escape, forgetting that he hadn't fully cuffed Scarecrow, as he was already feeling the effects of the toxin. He started to see Joker kill Robin and Alfred after breaking into the Batcave. He tried to shake it off as he ran from rooftop to rooftop ,but as soon as he got to his Batmobile, he saw his parents saying
“You failed us Bruce you can never save Gotham! Especially if you are a criminal!” Batman got in his car and tried to use his anti toxin he keeps in his utility belt, but it did nothing.
“No, No, No! I’m not a criminal!” He said while he tried to call Alfred, but he was not able to speak normally. He put the Batmobile in auto pilot, and put in the directions to the Batcave. Before he passed out he saw a vision of himself trying to kill innocent people in an alleyway.
“Bruce, Bruce are you alright.” Alfred said as Batman woke up.
“I’m fine, I just needed to rest a little.” Batman said getting up.
“You were actually asleep for 24 hours, but if you ask me you’ve been needing that kind of rest for years.” Alfred said, giving Batman a drink. “Do you want to talk about what you saw?”
“Not really, I need to find Scarecrow. I’m pretty sure he got away. “ Batman said, putting on his Bat suit that was folded neatly next to him.
“The police are searching for him as we speak, besides you need to rest, and don’t you want to know how I got that toxin out of you?” Alfred said concerned. “I used a special formula to…”
“Not now Alfred!” Batman said sternly. “I need to find Scarecrow before he exposes someone else to the toxin.”
“Bruce, you need to stop this.” Alfred said seriously. “Ever Since Robin left and became Nightwing, you have gotten more and more distant.” Batman ignored him and walked to the Batmobile when two droids, just like the ones that appeared to Spider-Man, came out of a portal. Batman threw a Batarang at one of them, but the droid caught it and crushed it. The other droid then shot out the same gas that knocked out Spider-Man at Batman, knocking him out. They then took him away through the portal. “Oh dear!” Alfred said, greatly confused and worried.
In another universe…
A man in blue robes, brown boots, and a red cape put on a gold necklace and floated to the entrance of his Sanctum. “Welcome to the Sanctum Sanctorum. How can I help you?” He said enthusiastically, to the man at the door.
“Doctor Strange… I saw that you were a magician and that you take requests.” The man said. “So I wanted to pay you to come to my daughter's birthday party and…”
“Stop right there.” Doctor Strange said annoyed. “I don’t come to birthday parties, I am a wizard and I handle threats from other dimensions.”
“Really?” The man said, shocked. “I never knew there were wizards living among us. Could you still come to my daughter's party anyway? She would love to see a real life wizard.”
“No! That’s a waste of my time!” Doctor Strange said before closing the door on the man. “Can you believe that guy Wong?” He asked a man coming down the stairs in brown robes.
“You need to treat people nicely. How would you like it if someone rejected you like that?” Wong said with his hands on his hips.
“I fight real threats, why would I waste my time at birthday parties?” Doctor Strange asked, still annoyed.
“There is nothing wrong with helping people in different ways.” Wong said. “Even if you really didn't want to do it you still could have been less harsh with him.”
“It clearly says on the website I made to advertise myself that I fight mystical threats.” Doctor Strange said. “Why do people keep asking for things like birthday parties or to predict their futures!”
“People like us can do a lot of things for a lot of people. We don’t have to only fight monsters.” Wong said opening a portal. “Heroes help people however they can. The Avengers even go to birthday parties.” He said laughing, while walking through the portal and leaving.
“I am not like the Avengers.” Doctor Strange said before a green portal opened behind him. “What are you thinking coming in here uninvited?” He said to the green and yellow droids before they shot a gas at him that knocked him out.
In another universe…
“Yes! Finally!” A business man in a black suit, with black pants, and a red tie shouted.
“Mr Luthor, are you alright?” His assistant said walking into his lab.
“Yes Mercy, I was celebrating finishing my new advanced armor.” The man called Lex Luthor said, calming down. He points to a green armor with purple gauntlets, boots, and a purple jet pack, With a big purple L on its chest. “It even has a retractable helmet!”
“I thought you were done making weapons.” Mercy said confused.
“I’m going to use it to fight crime.” Lex said smiling. “I mean with Superman dying, and Batman disappearing…” Lex said sadly, remembering his lost friends.
“Someone needs to replace them.”
“Isn’t that dangerous?” His Mercy asked, concerned. “Who is going to run this company if you get hurt? Why didn’t you tell me about this?”
“I’ve changed, and I thought you would try to stop me.” Lex said, looking at her. “Superman is not my enemy anymore. He inspired me to become a better person. He sacrificed himself to save me, his greatest enemy”
“But nobody could replace Superman” Mercy said worried about Lex.
“I’ll be safe. I may have changed my ways but I still have my smarts.” Lex said confidently. “I will be just…” Lex started to say before he was interrupted by two green and yellow droids coming out of a portal. “Mercy! Get out of here now!” Lex said frantically running to his armor. As soon as he put it on, the droids shot out a gas that knocked him out before he could move.
