Chapter Fourteen.
Once they landed, they headed to the Statue of Liberty and they all headed inside, going into its museum.
But as they headed into the museum, Mokuba grabbed Scott's arm as he heard an extra heartbeat.
"Mokie?"
"Babe we are not alone."
Scott's face darkened at that "where?" Scott asked before Mokuba looked for the source, "I don't..." Mokuba trailed off as Logan suddenly leaped forward grabbing Mokuba by the throat and tossing him into another room with Logan following.
"Mokuba!"
As the others came rushing forward, the large metal doors attaching the rooms slammed shut.
Mokuba booted him off him before standing up "you're not Logan, I can hear your heartbeat It's the same as the one I heard when I entered, who the fuck are you?" Mokuba asked before Logan turned into a blue female shapeshifter Mokuba recognized as Mystique.
Meanwhile, the others were worried and just before Scott could blow it open, Toad leaped down, tossing Scott into a frame full of photos.
Storm and Jean looked stunned before Toad kicked them both back before he attacked them, but suddenly Logan barrelled over striking Toad through the chest.
Scott then angrily stormed up to Logan.
"What the hell, why'd you attack Mokuba?" Scott angrily yelled, "I didn’t touch him I got knocked out, where is he?" Logan asked before Scott turned and moved to the door.
"Mokuba, you..."
Scott stopped speaking as Mokuba suddenly teleported in front "hey, Mokie are you okay?" Scott asked worried and Mokuba nodded, "yeah, I'm okay," Mokuba assured before Jean frowned.
"What happened? Who attacked you?"
Mokuba frowned "Actually it was really weird it was Mystique, but after revealing herself, she cut off the power and just disappeared," Mokuba told them, Logan looked suspicious at that “she just took off? Really? Then how do we know you're really Mokuba?" he asked narrowing his eyes at Mokuba causing him to scoff.
“Well last time I checked, shapeshifters don't take our powers only our physical appearances jackass," Mokuba snapped with a glare, Jean and Storm chuckled as Scott chuckled with a fond smile.
"No doubt that's my Mokuba."
Mokuba smirked "helped me out though, once I managed to get the light back on, I saw a staircase; I believe it leads to the top," Mokuba told them, Scott nodded "nice going, let's go," Scott urged before Mokuba led the way.
Going up the stairs, they reached the top when Logan froze.
“Everybody get out of here," Logan said, causing them to frown, "what is it?" Storm asked concerned.
"I can't move."
